I am unable to change the dataref in 11pb6. Anyone else find this? Trying to change to this: "Fog/std_deviation_cutoff=0.3000000"

I have a variety of aircraft installed, some of which seem to be showing as unclassified. I think the reason has something to do with the author field and planemaker, though i'm an xplane (11) newbie at this point and not sure what all this entails (a brief google search i wasnt even sure where the planemaker download was).. Is there any other way to reclassify a craft in its folder perhaps? On the other note of multiple ones.. for instance.. airfoillabs cessna i'm seeing 3 of them, two with question marks.. i did the generate icons on the 3rd one, but its just a blank black square for some reason, not sure why.. Im not sure why 3 show.. I also have ano…

I've had these issues in all the betas so far, now i'm on pb6.. First issue.. If you press M to bring up the map, then try to click the red circle to close it, it wont close. If you press the window icon in the top right to make it a window and click the x on the window it wont close. If you select clouds or clouds and precip on the map options, no overlay of this is shown. At the same time.. i think due to X-camera (the latest beta for xp11 too), if you do the above steps then go to the menu and try to click load flight.. x-plane crashes. edit: at least in terms of making it go away, seems if you press M twice it disappears.. One other one i see …

Is this by design, as it seems randomly i start up in an island in the pacific, which turned out to be PMDY.. however the ground has really no textures whatsoever.. i first thought it was a glitch in the scenery.. Anyone know why this happens? Random flight edit luck? Thanks

Does anyone know where to find a take off runway length calculator for this bird? Took off from KSNA (apprx 5200 ft) yesterday w flaps 15 and used up all the runway and then a little more :( I was probably a bit too heavy .... I cant find it in the docs that come with the aircraft, ive also googled it but haven't found anything.

I cant seem to get to the root of this issue, but something is causing my sim to break.. i have nice steady 40 fps or better (in VR too) for NYCX with clear weather.. then another time I test things after having installed scenery in custom scenery (i removed my changes and it didnt fix it).. it breaks.. looking at 15-20 fps while aimed at the city, if i aim away from the city the rate shoots up to 40.. i'm at a loss to figure out whats going on here.. Does anyone have any thoughts or maybe has ran into this? This has happened on all betas to this point at various points.. i usually end up reverting to a cleaner state to fix it. Thanks in advance

It seems after I fly xp10 for 10-15 minutes, it freezes and stops working. The only add on I have is HD Scenery. Is there a log somewhere that will help my diagnose why it's freezing and crashing? I have 24GB of memory, so I don't think it's a OOM error. Thanks.

in XP11, with X-Enviro, near areas where reported Tcu or Cb, preferably with reported TS too, are ? Screenshots with nice perspectives really welcomed :-) I ask because I don't have XP11 installed, and even less X-Enviro, but since I've been reading so many positive comments and watching great shots, I couldn't resist asking :-)

I did download the VOZ package and the Aussiepaks and now i*m not sure how to install the packages. So, i don`t know the scenery hierarchy. Does VOZ only includes airports, so that it can be placed on top? Thanks in advance!.

Question's in the title. Do we e-mail the X-Plane developers individually, or the team as a whole? If so, where can I find a list of e-mail addresses? Or is there a separate contact form to be filled up or something?

Need help from a scenery expert. I've tried to remove the ramps and taxiways using the WED program, but they still appear at the airport even with objects fully set to the left. There are no object at the airport, just the ramps and taxiways which I want removed to be able to see the xOrtho4XP underneath them. I used WED to edit the custom airport file, but I'm wondering if there is a file in Global Airports that needs to be modified to make this happen. Hopefully it's clear what I'm trying to accomplish and there is somebody who has a solution. TIA

So I've just fitted my new 500GB SSD, and the first task was to move XPLane off of the clunky old HD. Which mostly went OK, but some files failed to copy and had to be skipped. They looked to be associated with the few payware planes I have installed. Caranedo, the MU-2 and the Jetstream. Is it best to just reinstall these? Is any deactivation needed first? Any other gotchas before firing up Xplane? Thanks Keith

There are actually 2 Piper cubs in development currently, I'd only noticed one before. The Super Cub by Aerosim Dev Group.. and the Dreamfoil Creations Piper J3.. Good times ahead for Piper Cub fans.

Hi, Looking forward to buy my second plane for xplane. Zeroed in on LES Saab 340.i am looking forward for a study level aircraft. My taste is towards PMDG style study level sim.. Does this aircraft match up to it? Does it comes with the requisite manuals, tutorials etc.? Any things of concern with this plane? Pankaj

Hey there! I just downloaded XP11... and this is my first time in X-Plane. Anyway, I just wanted to know which sceneries worked in XP11. I know MisterX is a prominent figure in the world of X-Plane, but most of his sceneries were made for XP10. If I install them, will there be any compatibility issues? And are there any good scenery packages you could recommend? Thanks for any help!

Hello everyone! Having some great fun with xp11 so far. I have a Dell 3440x1140 ultrawide monitor but I'm looking for even more immersion. Thought about Oculus but my gtx970 and many, many bugs/problems reported for using FlyInside with xp11/p3d/fsx are holding me back. Now, here is my question..... Is it possible to use my current monitor with two 27 ich 1920x1080 screens( have the same height as my Dell screen). The ultrawide monitor will then have to run at 2560x1080 obviously. Did a test with nvidia surround but the ultrawide was automatically set to 1920x1080 just like my two hdtv's I used for the test. There is no way of using two sorts of resolution in nvidia …

Curious how everyone that has a VR headset is handling recording videos for youtube? Are you just recording the small windowed version that flyinside shows.. or are you using another method that maybe tracks all motions/views during a flight, then play them back at full 1080p later and do a shadowplay recording of that? I wasnt aware of a 3rd party addon for XP11 that allows for such recording (scripts i guess)? Having the same issue with p3d.. aerofly fs2 is even harder, as it only shows a split screen view, but that can be turned off, at the expense of frames though.. Any thoughts and experiences? The library mentioned in the title is necessary for quite a few airport addons. I've attempted to download this numerous times, but it's interrupted each and every time. Seven attempts in two days and I'm no further along (I'm downloading from this site: http://r2.xpl.cz/). Anyone know of another means to downloading these files?
