I note that in P3Dv4 disabling Scenery in the areas that you are not currently flying helps performance .This can be done within the sim easily-unticking Scenery boxes Is this true for X Plane and if so how do you do it Do you have to X Organiser ? If you are running the beta, does your xplane crash when attempting to load a custom metar? In 11.26 it works fine for me but in all recent betas as soon as I click the load custom metar option I get the XPlane loading screen and in the lower left is "starting application" and the usual blue loading bar but it just sits there and does not bring up the Windows dialog box that allows me to select a file as it does in 11.26. I reported this as a bug and Jennifer told me that she couldn't replicate it. I thought maybe I had just gotten a bad update but I just updated to the very latest beta and it still does it (crash). Hey , I have a question. I want to buy a new monitor in 2560x1440. It will the Asus PB277Q . But will it reduce my fps if i take a 2560x1440 monitor instead of a 1920x1080 monitor? My GPU will be the 2080ti. Thank You for your help

Good Afternoon, I need some help please, I have run the W2XP for my area using OSM data and all works fine. New roads and buildings created. However i wanted to edit this in World Editor, so I imported the DSF file from W2XP new created scenery into World Editor. Indeed I can see the scenery in World editor. I then wanted to add my custom airport and surrounding scenery of the same area into World editor, I.m not sure how to do this. Basically i wanted to integrate my current custom scenery of LXGB with the roads and some selected buidlings from W2XP file, using World Editor. Is this possible? …

Hi, I recently downloaded and installed "Orbx True Earth GB South" Scenery, and was amazed how much disk space it takes up. Just 3 files = 125+ GB !!. If I get the other 2 parts they are planning to release, it could be around 400 GB, just for GB. Can anyone say if these Orbx files can be moved outside the "Custom Scenery" folder, just like "Ortho4XP" tiles can be read from another disk via shortcuts, or am I stuck with getting yet another bigger hard disk. Appreciate any suggestions. John.

I like attempting approaches and landings multiple times - often with different types of weather. This is easily done with stock aircraft, but with custom ones like the Zibo 737 or Flight Factor A320 I'm having no luck with this. I can save the situation, but once it loads no settings on the CDU/FMC and such are saved - which just makes the whole thing pointless. Any idea why I'm experiencing this? And how it can be overcome?

This is strange..... I don't think I have changed anything, but when I try to change resolution, the screen flashes black as normal.... the resolution changes... but I can not click on the done button. When I do, xplane crashes. This happens on any resolution change. I'm running the latest beta and haven't had this problem with this beta. Also... I can run another saved previous version of xplane and there is no problem. I tried deleting preferences and it still crashes. Any ideas?

I participated in the beta and saw a big hit on fps on my system, which ain't the fastest. But I read up on RC1 being released and as I do not quit, I loaded it up. I am astounded at the performance improvement, it is even better than 11.26 was. I do not know what Laminar did but it is like they did an X2 boost to the performance of the sim, panning is much smoother in my most complicated scenery and aircraft, for instance. I just wanted to get the message out, go for the release candidate, so far it is a winner! And even an old simmer can still be surprised as he approaches the big 60... John

XP11, Hotstart-TBM900 (Garmin G1000), Pilot2ATC, World Traffic 3. Presume enroute in GPS NAV mode on an airway from waypoint A to waypoint B, next waypoint C. Between waypoint A and B, ATC instructs me a lateral deviation to avoid upcoming traffic. I select HDG mode instead of NAV, and adjust the HDG knob to execute the lateral deviation. Hi folks, I don't know what I changed or what plug in I used, the ground, when raining, just look weird. Please see attached screenshot. I know when raining and windy, you may notice some "waves" on the ground, however it is just too much exaggerated. It seems that the entire airport is flooded. Is there a way to change this? I’m having an issue where the visibility is to high regardless of the setting in the sim when it comes to low viz. At distances it works fine but not low vis tonight I was doing practice approaches to ILS minimums is 200agl 1/2mi when I broke out of the clouds I could see over 2 miles despite having the vis set to 1/2 so I tried putting it all the way to cat 3 and still the viz was over 2 mi. Can anyone refer me to a single engine airplane for X-Plane 11, Freeware, Payware, Ransom Your Grandson Ware or any other Ware that is flyable and that will taxi and accelerate without veering off of the runway and so on? New to simming and marginally lame with computers but I just got myself a nice setup. I have xplane 11 with two stacked monitors. I bought air manager to keep my instruments in view but...I have not been able to figure out how to config xpl or air mangr. Totally lost. Super generic question here but I was wondering something. The same result has happened in multiple AC for me in XP, but when I take off and am reaching rotation speed, I start to pull back on the yoke/sidestick, the AC starts to pull away from the ground, once the main gear starts to leave the ground, it seems the nose wants to instantly dip back towards the ground and I need to react with a brief (what I felt) is an excessive amount of back pressure on the controls to maintain a proper climbout (and not smash back on to the runway). Started Xplane11 an hour ago and was advised of the update. I installed it, ran a 45 minute replay that includes Ortho scenery, add-on airport scenery, and the Aerobask Eclipse Add-On. No issues or drop in performance, did not seem to notice anything new but the fix page covered things I had not observed. John
