Not to start a flame war, but I had a web outage today. I decided no prob, I will just sim for a while. So I fire up Xplane11 and Xplane11 comes up with a block showing my registration key, saying I had to run the program in demo mode because they cannot verify me online, like they already had before. I did not uninstall or reinstall the simulation. This really puts a twist in the "which is better" controversy. Lockheed Martin does not practice this, I had an Internet outage for nearly a month after I first installed P3DV4and it ran with no quibbles. Just got this for X Plane 10 but not exactly sure about the installation and how it connects to X Plane. It says it doesn't have to be installed in a simulation folder but I installed it to my E: drive where X Plane is...since it says it doesn't matter. Thought it would be better to keep them close. Anyway it's not in the X Plane folder...just in the same E: drive...separate folders. So I downloaded real weather in FSGRW with X Plane weather set not to download real weather but I'm not getting anything. I know I'm doing something wrong but wasn't sure exactly what. I don't understand how the two are supposed to connect if they're in separate folders. I think I didn't ins…

So after upgrading to the latest versions of the FFA320 and BSS Sounds, I noticed cycling packs on and off and during engine start doesn't seem to effect the sound intensity of the air flow in the cockpit. In the last version when turning to ignition, the ac sounds would fade out a bit, same on setting the packs off prior to departure. It's only a minor thing I've noticed but has anyone else noticed this too? Im not sure if this is a BSS thing or a FF thing since I don't have the previous 1.3 sound pack handy any longer.

After 16 years of flying in MSFS, I bought X-Plane last week after thinking about it for a very long time. I am absolutely loving XP except for when it comes to flying online. The text size in messages from controllers and others is absolutely unreadable for me. I got a private message on there last night while flying and couldn't respond till after I landed because I just couldn't read it well enough to know what it said. I really don't want to go back to MSFS for online flights and XP for offline. Does anyone know of a good solution to this? I just installed Alabeo PA31-350 on the latest updated X-Plane 11. The avionics does not seem to turn on EXCEPT for the GNS530 which goes on and off with the avionics power switch. The Pitch input from the yoke does very little, but the elevator trim works from the trim wheel. The Prop levers do not move in response to the Saitek throttle clusters, YET the RPM changes on the propellers. The GNS530 works well, The Throttle and Mixture levers operate properly. I also have the RealSimGear GNS530 and its switch inputs is working well. I have tried the sim on my existing windows box, on a new linux install and on a new windows install - same symptoms. …

I've never encountered this before. (xp 11.31) I downloaded ODog's Jackson Hole scenery and all my runways, parking lots, etc. are red. I assume it's a texture thing, but can anyone give me a clue? Thanks in advance

In validating my airport (modified default KOWB) in WED (V2), I'm getting the error "Warning: Wind rules in flow "From North ATC Flow" allow runway 06 to be used with up to 30 kts tailwind component @ 35 kts wind." Can't seem to figure out where to click to fix this (which I will, of course, 5 seconds after I submit this). Any hints John at KEVV

Hi I have a major problem in Xplane 11, I have alot of stutters and i get 30fps locked with no dips at all. I have a very good system with a Ryzen 2700x 24gb Ram Rtx 2070. Also Anti Aliasting is very bad i have to put it at 8xssaa for it to look decent. 4xssaa looks like None. Thank You!

Hello All, I have seen the YouTube video on how to export flight plans from Skyvector to RealityXP.GTN 750. Thing is I want to export into the GNS 430. I have done everything that needed to be done. FMS converter and Little Navmap. It does load the flight plan successfully, but does not show any inputs for the DTK or any airport destination and departure airport. Not showing any data in tracking. It does import but goes in circles with the FPL. This is the latest version of XPlane 11. What is wrong here? I can't figure it out. Can someone help me out? Are there any datarefs or other ways to make XP tell you which dsf files are currently loaded and, more importantly, when it loads a new one as I fly? Im currently convinced that a bug I filed a while back about environment lighting pop may be tied to XP switching dsf files. The pop only occurs at well defined longitude lines and I read in the knowledge base that XP actually treats the world as flat (2D) as you fly so I wonder if XP only updates lighting when it loads a new dsf and compares the new angle of the new 2d pair of dsf files against the sun position and therby produces an abrupt change in lighting. any thoughts?

I having an issue with Zibo 3.33c & same is seen on 3.33e. the new rain effect is escaping from the window borders and is all over my panel switches. what is the cause and how do I fix it? I have the issue both in v3.33c and "e" P.S. in addition to Zibo I have RG_MOD (respective RG version to Zibo), XPRealistic & X-Camera. not sure if it has any effect or not. just thought of mentioning it.

Also, I’m disappointed with Skymaxx pro, do you have SkyMaxx pro, are you also disappointed with it? You’ll see what I mean in my review this week. (The aircraft appear dark with Skymax pro enabled). Hi All I installed the "HD Mesh Scenery v4" in my XP11 (v1.30) and in the readme it it shows you how to verify rather the HD Mesh is loaded in the SIM correctly or not. it says to check the LOG file for an entry : However when I search my LOG file I see the following: DSF load time: 3641 for file Custom Scenery/simHeaven_Forests_Asia/Earth nav data/+20+090/+26+090.dsf (0 tris, 0 skipped for 0.0 m^2) with the additional "(0 tris, 0 skipped for 0.0 m^2)" that is not mentioned in the HD Mesh readme. I was thinking of buying Terramaxx from maxx-xp or xAmbience by HighSkyTech. In VR FPS is a big concern. I ran into free Winter Texture and quality turned out to be good and very little fps impact. Here is a comparison video with default X-Plane. I can now feel Polar vortex!

Just recommending them for their Microlights, copters and gyrocopter. They are a niche player in Xplane11 and if you like to hand fly, and get away from avionics drill and FMS's once in a while, they are a great distraction. I have their Eurofox, Tecnam, Mini 500, Gyrocopter, and Trike. As a light sport and trike pilot in real life I can vouch for their flight dynamics. And their attention to external and interior detail is outstanding. Rare do I recommend a vendor as much as I recommend them, for those who want to try out the low and slow niche. However their Microlights can keep up with a 172 and are faster than a 152, which is generally true of Light Sport aircra…

Just installed RXP and I'm using SkyVector to transfer a flight plan into Xplane 11 and see that my flight plan is not showing up in RXP. I was successful filing the plan into the defualt G430 but not the G430 RXP. I'm using the conversion out of SkyVector into Xplane. Also is there a way to export a flight plan from Foreflight into Xplane from the AUX in RXP? Thanks, Airman76

Just trying to understand the Garmin 430 and 530 better. I read in the X Plane Garmin Manual it said to delete any flight plans that are in the GPS before you put in another...ok got it. Then it says you can save your flight plans too so how do you save them if you're suppose to delete them...not sure how that works yet. I did make a couple of simple plans yesterday that had about 4 or 5 waypoint...about a 50 mile trip. When I click the flight plan button and turn the knob to the second page I see both plans. So what gets deleted when you delete a plan and how many plans can be stored...like do you run out of storage space eventually? Do you have to "save" a plan for it t…

New to Xplane11, and enjoying the experience, however during 2 separate first flights in the 737x Zibo, from YPAD to YMML 10 Minutes from T/D, the cockpit slowly blacks out completely, the exterior view is still daylight (midday),. I am not using any alternative weather engine, or weather programme. Has anyone experienced this? Thanks Mike

Hi Everyone, I've been tinkering with X-plane as I wait for Rex Environment force to become available for P3D. I'm getting so tired of playing with presets and tweaking shaders in order to create a more-plausible world to fly in. I'm liking x-plane more and more every day, but I also like the idea of being able to adjust the environment "on the fly". Does X-ambience make it easy to tweak the look and feel of the sim?
