hi a finally decide to buy x-plane. i flightsim since 2003 with fs9/fsx and now p3d and now x-plane. i buy 737 ixeg and this is a master piece. for the weather engine a would wait for active sky xp because in p3d active sky is the best...and don't know if a need something like orbx global in x-plane. Under the heading of "If I'd known it was going to turn out so well, I'd done a better job." I built this three-point clip for use with trackir, or whatever headtracking software you use, and it was so easy and quick. The basic shape is made of a piece of black plastic coat hanger, heated with a candle just right till it would bend smoothly. I then drilled a couple of small holes into the end and out the side for the IR LEDs, which are so cheap online. I am running a dual boot PC with X-Plane 11.30r1 installed on two operating systems: Windows 7 Pro 64-bit and Windows 10 Pro 64-bit. For my default option for comparison purposes of the FlightFactor A320 at Orbx Southampton RW02 with Orbx True Earth Great Britain South, I get about 38fps in Windows 7 and 30fps in Windows 10. The installations are exactly the same in terms of the settings in both the X-Plane installations (weather is set similarly in both) and nothing is different about the CPU or GPU clockings in both cases. Hello, im using X-Plane 11 steam version. I have cpl along with 150 hours of flying C172P . I have some question to ask. Before that I don't mean to really equalize X-plane 11 with Real world flying. Just want to know if is it the same i felt with all of you when experienced it in real world and x-plane. So, when im landing my technique is closing throttle when above threshold then flare the plane while losing its lift until the stall horn occur and then touchdown, The airplane would glide and doesnt get sink fast after i closed my throttle . In x-plane 11 when i do that after closing my throttle the airplane suddenly decreasing speed from 60 (little fast) and it sinking …

I have down-loaded and installed HD mesh v4. It is located at the bottom of the list in the Custom scenery, scenery_packs folder and shows up at the top of the list in the Xplane 11, Log text folder. The scenery images are very satisfactory, but the buildings have disappered. Please advise what I have done wrong and how do I sort it? Thnaks - Chipmunkman

Bought the Caravan on sale a few days ago. Installs fine. SASL loads. Cockpit sounds play. But No engine sounds at all. No errors in Log.txt, Downloaded a few times to rule out corrupted download. Again, everything installs fine but no engine sounds. Yes, Xplane sound sliders are all at 100%. Been working with Carenado on this but they said they can't duplicate it. They're willing to refund me but I really want to get the Caravan running. No problem with any other planes, payware or default. I am on Beta 7 so maybe that's the culprit.  Any other ideas?

Hi, I use a fully motorized 737 throttle (Rev Sim Products). The motors are driven bij an Open Cockpits USB DC MOTORS CARD (http://www.opencockpits.com/catalog/motors-card-p-50.html?cPath=21_34) Does anybody has experience how to connect it to XPLANE11 by using SIOC or Lua or whatever with the B737-800 ZIBO ? Hi All, Im not sure if anyone else has experienced this, but the houses appear very dark in my Xplane 11 Orbx True Earth. It looks more like the generic houses rather than the additional scenery. I am pretty new to Xplane so I am a little unfamiliar with it. My system is an I7 8700, 1080TI, 32GB Ram, Xplane is on an SSD, runs great, just the houses seem to ruin things a bit, trees look great and the added buildings do to. I did take a few screenshots but I don't think I can post them here? Im using the Beta 11.30 B7 build (I noticed the same on the B6 build) Has anyone got any ideas? I tried TrackIR a couple of times in the past, yet never seemed able to get used to it. For some reason (probably because I just needed a new toy to play with), I decided to give it a try ... again ... and just take my time adapting, particularly because I have really gotten into flying DreamFoils Bell helicopter. Wow, I'll never go back. And then someone suggested adding X-Camera to the setup and wow (that's a double wow), what a great combination. Hi all, I've posted another video including my 4 favourite plugins so far, for X-Plane 11. (I've been using X-Plane 11 for only three months now) I've had a few other add-ons, but they have caused me problems, X-Enviro for example (I wish I where mistaken as it cost me money for nothing), I'll not be reviewing it as I can't guarantee It's quality. Anyway, here's my opinion of the one's I've kept on my copy of X-Plane 11, that are stable, and easy to install. Please do comment, and constructive criticism is always welcome as I like to make my videos look professional. Do you know of another good free plugins? Thanks!

Downloaded the newest beta but did not try it until I had some friends over..now I love to show of Xplane's nights and lighting when new guys show up - but,,,dang it,,,this time I fired up Xplane and loaded my favorite night airport and all was much darker and the main lights over the stations were not bright and looked like bad...I told them this was not the way it should be and turned it off. So what did this beta do to the lights and how can I fix it? I do have an older version on another hard drive but really want to know why they would trash their best feature.

Hi mates, I have XP11 since a couple of days. However I am considering to get XP10. Sounds crazy I know! Reasons are: - More settings possibilities by default compared to XP11 - More easy on CPU and GPU? - Some AC and helos I like are optimized for XP10 (and not yet for XP11): Carenado B58, Dreamfoil Bell 206 - I'm not interested in things like PBB - Get rid of the bug of clouds shadows flickering? OK, I have looked everywhere but cant find any answers to this so here goes. Im hoping that someone with a lot more experience in X-plane that myself can help me with the stock C130 airplane that comes in x-plane 11. . When I choose it in x plane 11 to fly, it looks great from the outside sitting on the tarmac, but once I go into the cockpit it initially has what appears to be a 2d cockpit. But when I view outside the plane again, and then go back inside, the 2d cockpit is no longer there. This has happened multiple times. I have nothing,. I can see right to the ground. Hi, I having a problem with my X-Plane 10 The game freezes for 5-10 seconds, works for 1-2 seconds and then, freezes again. However, if I move the mouse cursor to the top of screen, the menu bar comes down and the problem magically disappears. My game works just fine if i do that. When I move the mouse cursor down, the menu bar hides and the problem starts again. I want the know if there is any fix for that or a temporary solution like force the menu bar to stay down and see if this works. Thanks in advance Edu

Apparently there's a beta update out for Flight Factors A350, but quite a dissapointment that they don't mention anything about SIDS and STARS, which is one of the key functions that is missing in an otherwise great simulation. Let's hope they fix it before the final release. And BTW what is that X-Updater application they're talking about? Where do we find that? JLund

Hi fellow simmers, I have tried every possible solution that has been discussed in these forums and still not able to figure out my low FPS situation. Even in the most dense autogen area my CPU utilization is at 60-70% max and my GPU is around 45-50% at most. I have a i-4770k CPU that can be overclocked to 4.3ghz but have not had any reason to go beyond the stock 3.9ghz boost performance. I have a GTX 1080Ti and it seems it is barely being put to use. Additionally, I have 16GB of RAM that runs at 2133 and notice that it also being only used 50% of its capacity. I am running x-Plane 11 on a Windows 10 pro rig and using a Samsung 1TB SSD drive. I've used both World2XPlane and Ortho44XP to generate overlays, but I can't really tell which is best (I guess the best proof would be how well they follow the orthophotos.} I'd like to use the freeware package to make the roads transparent, but I first want to use the most accurate overlay. Any thoughts on the subject? John in Indiana.
