For the past 5 years I have been running a Asus P2B-F board with P3 450 and 1024 of ram plus a hard drive without any problems at all.3 months ago I purchased a Western digital caviar se and it is connected to the board via a Ultra100 TX2 raid controller. I good upgrade that ran also without problems until 2 weeks ago.Suddenly the disk crasches. It stops running. The cause, connectors on a small plate below the disk that connects the disk and the board on the disk burned.The data was retrieved, I got a new disk, the seller suggested a manufacurer failure. I've been thinking about getting a TFT screen in case my current monitor should die in the foreseeable future - right now there's no indication that it will, but anyway. In the past, however, I kept being told that TFTs were not very well suited for applications requiring fast display refresh rates, such as games. Thus I'm curious if contemporary TFTs might have been improved in this point. All of the sudden when I go to download a file internet explorer no longer asks me where I wnat to save it. Zip files are going right to the winzip to be opened. How do I restore settings so I can save zip files to a disk. All my security settings are set to default.

First: Windows XP does not have the more then 512 meg ram problem...right? Second: Will I see that much of an improvement by going up to a gig of ram from 512? I am using one stick of ddr 2700 on an ABIT kx7-333 mobo with an AMD 2100+ CPU.

I am trying to find out the upper limit of the PIII on this board.The manual states 450 mhz and upwards, but somewere I heard the limit is 1000 mhz. Hey all, I Have a problem. I'm currently running a Verto GForce 2 MX 200 AGP Card. I went to the store today and plunked down the ole' plastic and bought a Verto GForce 4 MX 420 PCI card. I installed it, loaded the latest drivers, started FS 2002 and Pow!! Absolutly abisimal Frame rates. How about 1 fps at O'hare with Mikes new 757. I lost my reflections too. I went back into BIOS and set it for PCI instead of AGP (oops) and still 1 FPS. I got 7-8 there with my MX 200 with the HJG DC-8 73 with the same settings on the sliders. I still have the SBLive! that was replaced. I want to be able to continue using the Audigy for playback through the speakers, but use a second card to run a headset-and-mike exclusively for Roger Wilco. The purpose is to be able to separate the RW sound from the FS sound for those panels that do not play sounds through FS, but use Direct Sound instead (eg Oleksiy's new Dash 8 and Richard Probst's 727). I have a cable modem internet connection (blueyonder UK) which works fine. The only problem is when I go to my Network Connections folder in the Control Panel, there's nothing in there.... no connection icons. If I hit refresh, I get an error message telling me "unable to retrieve the list of network adapters on your machine. Please make sure the Network Connections service is enabled and running."I've tried uninstalling and re-installing the network card. Does anyone have any suggestions as to how I can make the connection show up?Thanks

I've now got this card for my workstation. I thought I'd share a bit my experience with it. Not that there is much yet to tell.The 2D quality is just amazing, even better than my old Matrox G400 card.I'm not really that much into gaming, FS2002 is the only 3D game I play. Unfortunately it doesn't currently work well with the Parhelia. Text is almost unreadable in FAA-16x (16x Fragment AA) and FPS are really slow. Actually the performance at times is worse than with the old G400. This has been reported on the Matrox support forums and will be fixed with new drivers.Other than these minor :-roll issues FS2002 looks great with FAA-16x.I wouldn't recommend this card as a gam…

I have a Northwood P4-1.8G, ABit BD-7A mainboard, 512M PC-2100 RAM, IBM 40GB Deskstar 120GXP HD, WinXP. Tonight, when re-booting (cold) for another reason, I noted that the IDE detect routine in POST took about 15 seconds, followed the message "Unable to find bootable disk" (or something similar)- it also offered the opportunity to boot from the DVD drive. I powered down to a cold boot again, and everything came up OK. What could cause this? (The faulty POST sequence went Ok up to the beep and CPU/memory data). I do have Boot Magic installed. Hey everyone. On my old computer, my dvd's ran just fine. On my new one, the movies play okay but theres a constant stuttering of the video and sound. I have an AMD 1800XP, 396 RAM, Geoforce mx200, Win XP, my hard drive has plenty of space... it seems to do alot of work during the movies though according to the HD light... Although my monitor and Geforce4 Card will allow me to go up to 1900 x 1200, FS2K2 will only allow me to do this in 16 Bit resolution. Let me introduce you to the most simple, yet absolutely frustrating problem on the face of the planet which hinders you from advancing in calibrating my CH yoke & pedals within WinXP prof.If you look at the pictures below, when i try to open the CH calibration program it never opens up completely, thus i can only view one part of it, and whats more annoying is I can't resize the damn thing! Depending where I have the "Game Controllers" window open, the resulting program changes it's window size.
