Hello,I'am planning to buy a CH Products FlightSim Yoke and Pedals soon. Both in USB version.I've discovverd that Internet buying is much cheaper. I've checked the CH Products website and saw that they are $159.95 each, incl. the IL-2 game. But, after looking more and more on the internet I saw other companies with the same yoke, but for less money. (e.g. provantage.com, mwave.com and thenerds.net) Now is my question: how are there companies??? Is it save ? and the Delivery? You need to know that I live in Holland, so they need do deliver there also. Please give me you advise about "internet shopping" I've never used it, so any tips are welcome. Thanks,Best regards,Stefan Wi…

Greetings,This was a problem in my old system but I thought with all the new power, it might go away...When I use dual monitors and have flight sim in Windows Mode on the primary monitor, and I do ANYTHING on the secondary monitor, for kicks let's just say AIM, while active window is off flight sim, the graphics in flight sim go to pot. It doesn't pause (I tweaked that) but it looks awful. As soon as I click back in FS, it clears right up.TIA for any advice!Fly Happy, Fly Safe!Ted "Shureflight" ShureAAL333 - Assistant Hub Manager - KBOSAmerican Virtual Airlineswww.flyava.orghttp://ftp.appcenter.net/Shureflight/Pics/AmericanFlagAA.jpgGod Bless America!Proverbs 3:5,6Dell …

Any help resolving this problem would be appreciated.Bob

Hello,I'm looking for some help in choosing a monitor for my new system (planning on getting in Mid-January).I'm wondering if I should go with a:19" Trinitron Flat Screen CRTora Dell UltraSharp 1702FP 17" Flat Panel LCDI heard the CRTs are better for gaming and I'm leaning toward that due to the fact that it is cheaper than the LCD.

I'm aware from previous posts that MSFS is unable to take advantage of a dual processor. But what I don't know is whether a dual processor can make a difference when there is more than MSFS running. For instance, I typically have MSFS, WidevieW, Roger Wilco, Squawk box, and ActiveSky running simultaneously. I have a recurring problem of my voice transmissions breaking up when all these things are going, but voice is just fine if I'm only using RW. So will a dual CPU help in this situation, or am I better off going with a better CPU (per my sig below, see my profile comments for the server specs, which are relevant here)?I'm asking in part because I'm making a transition i…

HeyI am thinking about getting this card BUT I just came over from *Rage3D* and it still appears that there are quite a few serious issues with this card ??????Yet there are many people who sware by this card so I must conclude that there are good and bad 9700s released, what do you think ?I mean it appears that the card either works great or it dosen't. If you are using the 9700 please explain to me what *exactly* you did to get it working correctly.Me being an Nvidia dood for the longest time means that when I install my new card it always works. I have never ever had one GeForce not work well and I have had them all.I tried the ATI-8500 (128m) last year but had to take…

My situation - I'm thinking of building the following system:P4 2.4 533MHzGiga-byte GA-81EXP Crucial 512 DDR PC2700 memoryGeForce 4 Ti4200 (already own)80 mb 7200rpm hdWindows XP proMinus the graphics card, which I already own, the system will probably come to about $900 with case, power, drives etc.Through dell, I can get the following system for $630:P4 2.4 533MHz w/512 L2 Cache (their dimension 4550)128 DDR SDRAM (I'd add more)30gb hd (I'd add another drive)windows XP pro, etc.First, am I putting in enough quality components in the buil…

Hi. I just installed a GeForce 2 GTS 32MB card on my computer and it's working fine, however there's a tiny little problem. The panel of the Boeing 747 and maybe the others come nicely, but sometimes there's a light red covering on the bottom half of the panel, it's transparent-the red covering. It has square textures in it. Can anybody help? Thanks.

Does anyone around here use a Soltek mother board? I'm trying to find out how to increase the CPU clock speed without increasing the AGP bus speed. I've got a new Soltek SL-75FRV (via KT400) and I'm trying to get the correct 133 x 13.5 freq config for the XP2200 + (1.8GHz) that is installed. Every time I try the recommended settings the board hangs requiring a CMOS reset.(Works OK at 100 x 18)I got a manual setting of 120 x 15 to work but when I check out the AGP bus speed using Sandra it shows as 80MHz!. There does not appear to be a AGP Bus/ CPU Clock ratio setting in the BIOS (AMI) to allow me to slow down the AGP bus...and I thinks that's why the board is failing to p…

How does one go about checking if RAM is bad or not? I read somehwere that the windows RAM test is not a good way to check the actual ram chip. . .had something to do with read/write versus something else. Can anyone point me in the right direction? -drewOh. . .thought of something else too. I have a bare minimum install of Win98SE on it's own drive and have noticed taht I've been getting a lot of explorer crashes recently. It seems to be intermittant when closing any open windows on the desktop. It also happens when trying to empty the recycle bin, also intermittant. I have Norton Utilities and have run the system check and it has found nothing. Hmm. . .now that …

Just recently I noticed that every time I run AFCAD I have to reselect the FS2002 directory. Then when I tried to run TTools, it said "cannot locate FS2002 directory." This is totally strange for me, as I've never had any real problems with FS2002. The only thing that has happened recently was that I tried to use Bill Grabowski's EMB-120 panel with an old FSDS model, which caused FS to crash. Then when I tried to restart FS2002 it wouldn't work at all. To get it to work again I deleted the FS2002.cfg which apparently was corrupted, because it at least started after creating a new file. However, now I get the "cannot find FS2002 directory" error and that is really buggin…

I've taken care of the windows side of the house...not shutting down USB ports automatically. However, when the computer goes to sleep and is subsequently restored, my CH Products to not "wake up". Everything else I'm running on the USB ports (either mobo or remote) wakes up with the exception of these. So, my questions are this: Is this a limitation of the CH Products? and If so, is there any solution outside of unplug/replug the joysticks. Thanks for the help,ChrisPS - If you're reading this, Bob, I'm pretty sure I've asked you this question before when we were troubleshooting the heck out of my problems...but darn if I can find it in the archives.

Hi Guys,Having a problem that's affecting me in FS2002 as well as other games including, but not limited to X-Plane and Medal of Honor. The symptoms are that periodically, the graphics will freeze and stutter a few times over a period of about 4 or 5 seconds, then go back to normal and after the freezing up, the joystick stops responding. I can revive the joystick by going into Control Panel/Game Controllers. Usually at first the joystick doesn't appear listed, but if I close the game controllers window and re-open it a few times, eventually it will be re-listed and if I then go into properties for the joystick, it will start responding in the game until next time the free…
