I have used several game controllers with FS 2002 and seem to keep one problem. The thing is that my rudder keeps pulling the aircraft to one direction all the time. I used a Logitech Wing Man with twist rudder which was lockable but I kept getting that problem. I figured it was because of the difficult twist system which was very difficult to properly calibrate and even if locked it still kept shaking the rudder axis back and forth. I did disable the axis in FS but kept the problem. This is NOT a wind issue, I have tested this, so even in perfect conditions with no wind at all the plane gets pushed slightly to the right or left while taxiing. This is just slight and per…

I'm having some problems with my computer and my new zip drive. Perhaps someone can shed some light on the subject, because im clueless right now. I tried everything almost and still no good.Ok, I got a parallel port 250MB zip drive for christmas. I requested parallel port because I have both my USB slots filled. I installed it the way the instructions said (install software first, then hook up the drive). Drive installed successfully, it reads my disk. Ok the problem is that my computer is EXTREMELY jumpy when i install the drivers on my machine (See pic 1 of me turning zip drive on and off). I hooked it into my older K6-400 machine the exact same way, and theres no issu…

I would also like to know if there is a difference in performance between internal and external sound cards. (I don't if I have an empty PCI slot)Thanks,Scott2.53 Gg HPwin XP512 DDRRadeon9700

I did a clean install of win xp home, loaded my chipset drivers, then the CAT 2.5's. Now I changed the AA AF in the ATI control panel and took off Application Pref and set it myself. When I run 3dmark, no problems what so ever. When I run FS and Load Simflyers KIAD and PSS a320 to test it out, my computer will randomly reboot?!? After it reboots I try to load up FS and it will freeze at the start up screen. So I have to Uninstall fs and try again. This time I left the AA & AF to Appication Pref and it seems to work, but haven't tested enough. Going to try UT2003, but i think it is driver issue with FS more than anything else. Would the CAT's 2.4 be better?Than…

I run Win98SE which I understand does not support ACPI but it is enabled on my mo/bo. I wish to remove or disable it as at the moment the graphics card is sharing an IRQ which I understand is not a good thing.I did read some time back how it is done and I remember it is not straight forward, however I have done a search on this forum and did not find anything about removing ACPI.TIA

Opinions needed. I got an 2600+ CPU @333 as an early present today from a show. Good price. Had upgraded my Abit kx7-333 bios to accept...put it in, no go. My board is only running100/133 double rate...so only 266 bus speed. So I would have to find a 2600+ @266 instead.... What a great excuse to up the mobo!!!!. How stupid....so after the first of the year(another show), I want to get a new Mobo with 333mhz FSB, and might as well get the 8x agp. Have 2700DDR, which should be no problem. I've had ASUS, and Abit..not familiar with anything else. At least I was able to take the CPU out and in and out and in without much problems. Love this oversized server case!!! Thanks in …

I just discovered that if you right click on the drive directory one of the options in the dialogue box is "format". I have two hard drives, c & d. Drive d which is were FS2002 is has file stucture ntfs, while c, which is where Windows XP is has FAT32. I have no clue as to how this happened. After clicking on the ntfs option to change drive c to ntfs it says all data will be erased, indicating this will reformat the drive. I have a minor texture loading problem in FS, after about 10 minutes when changing to spot plane view the textures begin to load slowly, Could this be the reason? JamesJ

I have a question. I am currently running an Athlon XP2000+ CPU ON an ASUS A7V333 MBO. I have two sticks or 256MB DDR RAM 2700. There is one remaining slot for an addition stick of RAM. I would like to add another 256 MB. HOWEVER, according to ASUS. If the third slot is used, all the RAM on the MBO drops from 2700 to 2100! So, instead of 512MB@2700 I would have 768MB@2100. I am not sure whether this would be an upgrade or a downgrade!! Any suggestions??John-PaulToronto

Does anyone know if there are any issues with the CH Pro Pedals USB and Win XP Pro? I'm probably going to upgrade my OS soon and am trying to find out what will give me grief in the upgrade process. In fact, is there any known USB joystick issues in XP? Thanks for any input! BTW, I tried searching the forum, but the topic isn't general enough. . .and since I only got 4 hours of sleep (thanks to PSS's dash 8!) I seem "slower than average" right now. (-: drew :-wave

I have a bit of a unique problem here, a smoking comp problem...My dad was going to use the family comp (a K6-400), and he presses the power button to turn it on. Normal same old thing right? Nottttt today! My dad said that the instant he pressed the power button, the whole comp let off a lot of smoke and died making clicking sounds (suspecting mobo failure). It would not even show any sign of life after that. I wasnt there to witness this...but I am hoping that its the power supply. But what about the smoke??? (I smelt it, it smells like something caught fire!) I know THAT never happened before when a power supply failed.Ok help me out here, nobody touched the internals…
