Hi there.does anyone know how I can use more than one monitor in FS2002, I want to have a central one with the cockpit and forwayd view, then a monitor on the left with the forward-left view, and one on the right with the forward-right view, can this be done in FS2002 or will I have to wait for FS2004 which is I believe supposed to support multi-monitors, I can allways use it for windows anyway, but would be nice to use in FS too, it's easy enough to add a couple of PCI display cards and attach the monitors,I'm just not too sure about the flight sim view side of it,thank you,Steve

Greetings,To make things short, When starting FS2k2, I get geometric shapes and different colors all over the screen. I have reseated my g-card (Gforce TI-4400). Changed drivers to the most recent (44.10). Using DirectX 9a. Upgraded the 4n1 drivers for my board ( Asus K7V333 ). Have Anti-alias at 4x..anisotropic filtering at 4X. Have Anti-alias turned on in FS. ....Still I get all these wierd shapes and colors bouncing all over the screen when in FS. I noticed that when deleting the fs2002.cfg file and letting rebuild itself does clear it up ...but once I close and reopen FS....all the shapes and triangular colors reappear...ANY SUGGESTIONS????....PLEASE?????JerryALWAYS A…

First, does anyone have one yet? If so, with what cpu, and has FS performance improved from what you had before?I've seen several of the 865 and 875 series MB's for sale, but nearly all have onboard Audio--a feature I'd rather not have. Is there a way to disable it at least, so no conflicts happen with add-on audio and the onboard? The same question goes for the onboard LAN ports?Right now, I'm considering matching up a 2.4 MHZ P4 with one of the 865 or 875 MB's. My budget, including RAM, is around $400-450.... I plan on a purchase sometime in July/August...Regards,John

I finally broke down and decided to get a definitive answer to a couple of questions re: onboard vs dedicated PCI audio. I installed a new Audigy II with latest official drivers and ran a comparison of performance in Audio Winbench 99: the Audigy II only used 0-2%, with an average around 0.3% CPU use during the benchmarking routine, whereas my ASUS's Realtek AC97 six channel onboard audio chip used between 4-8%, with an average of around 6%.So, we open up Task Manager Processes in Win2K, and note the CPU use dedicated to FS2002.exe is bouncing between 88 and 98% with the Realtek audio operating, and with the Audigy II we are seeing 98-100% virtually constant. This appe…

Hello All, I need some advice, tips and maybe a walk through on how I should set up my system, and maybe also what software I must use, to be able to have a twin view of the cockpit (3d & 2d). Well, let me first say exactly what my system consists of:Pentium 4 3 06GHz (with HT enabled)Asus P4G8X-D motherboardATi Radeon 9700 Pro1Gb Ram OEM160Gb Maxtor Hard-Disk2 x 19" XIOD (Samsung Tube) Flat Monitors - identicalTempretures are good, and no overclocking at all for now. As many already know (who use ATi), there is the HydraVision option to manipulate multiple monitors and displays. For the moment, I am not interested to see side views actually, but a more panoramic fron…

HiI'm thinking of getting a new system around the time FS2004 is released, and to save me copying files to CD and transfering them, I was thinking of connecting the PCs together with a direct cable connection. Can anyone tell me what sort of data transfer speed this would give, or are there any other alternatives?ThanxAK

I don't have a very modern graphic card that allows for manual control of these options but I wonder if you do have control over them can you have anisotropic filtering enabled but bilinear filtering OFF at the same time ??Michael J.

Hi All,Ok here is my new system. It will be arriving... sorry to say in August. The wait will be difficult. Seems like a nice system as of now. No telling how primitive it will be in August. My hope is I can get some insight concerning Drivers for this machine and Windows XP. I just need some advice, so all will work as best as it can.

Driver Irregularities May Inflate nVidia Benchmarks !!!!!!!After needing a card upgarde I decided its either going to be the Fx5900 or the new radeon 9800 256mb. After some research and benchmark scores I come to find out that nVidia is boosting its 3DMark game test scores by cutting corners in the 44.03 DetonatorFX driver that is being used for testing. WHAT ARE EVERYONES THOUGHTS??GO HERE FOR THE INFOhttp://www.extremetech.com/article2/0,3973,1086025,00.asp

Sounds like they never installed correctly. Try uninstalling the card through device manager, reboot and when prompted, reinstall the drivers.Bobby

I am about to upgrade my GPU. And after reading alot of reviews I have decieded to fall off the nVidia wagon and catch a ride on the ATi cart. This is a big step for me as I have use nVidia since the TnT and have been very impressed. I have never had any luck with ATi cards, but I will trust what I have read. Here is the real question. I am looking at the Radeon 9500 Pro or the 9700 Pro... but I still keep looking at the Fx5600 out of the corner of my eye. For the additinal $80 is the money well spent on the 9700? or the Geforce FX?System specs. Hi All,Maybe somebody can point me towards the proper post or other hyperlink or even has the answer.Today I bought the GoFlight GF166 for use with my P8 which I bought a month ago. I only have both panels and I was informed I can configure the P8 in such a way that I can use the GF166 for NAV1,2/COM1,2/ADF and XPDR. But how should I assign this on most practical way? Until today I have used the P8 for my lights. Now I would like to use it for changing the frequencies of all navigation on board. How did you configure both items in the configuration screens and FsUIPC? Which buttons are assigned to which function?I would appreciate if somebody could explain this to me or pr…

I have a P4 1.8G CPU, 1G of PC2100 DDR RAM. Currently I have a GE3 Ti200 card which I'm looking to replace. What's the latest on nVidia vs ATI regarding a good card? I'd like to go to 128MB of video card RAM too. Looking for a good card that FS2k4 will look good on. Any recommendations? My mobo is limited to 4* AGP, I believe (ABit BD7II). Thanks,Bruce.
