I've an old but still good gameport version of the CH pedals but ...First hurdle, I don't have any gameport on my new computer :-hah and anyway I was fed up to have to use, on the old rig, a joystick just to be able to connect the pedals with my USB CH yoke.Could the pedals work connected to an USB port and does the necessary connector (Game to USB) exist ? :-hmmm . That would mean a not unsignificant saving.well, any clues ?Dominique

Well after a lot of tweeking since I have COF, end of july, I have got my no cutting edge system (Athlon 1.33 Mh, 512 MB pc 133, FX5200 on XP Pro., 40 +13 mg HDs partitionned and FAT formated, NVidia 45.23) running correctly. I'm now quite happy with what I've got given the system I have.I'm still left with an annoying glitch and hope I will find some ideas for a solution here.When I go multiplayer (phone modem) things are ok until I want to disconnect. At this point a windows comes on and ask if a realy want to terminate the connection (or something like that!). Pressing Yes button, COF will freeze there. Hi all,I've had the CH Pro Pedals and CH Yoke (all USB) for about 1.5 years now, and they were working fine when I left for vacation a month ago, now I come back and the reverse mapped mixture control likes to jump around (not physically) , so the reverse levels will really change a lot. The pedals are also losing numbers in FSUIPC, along with the ailerons and elevators. They used to be at say 16500 in the calibration tab, now they're at 15300. Is this just normal wear, or is there something I can do to help? Or does it just need some breaking in?Thanks :-)

I ran FS last night with the system monitor running. The use of RAM never exceeded the high 400s. I'm curious, does FS even know how to use additional ram above that? And why does it insist on running a page file when it has room in the RAMBUS sticks? Just curious. Colin

Also, is there a program like Detenator Destroyer for ATI drivers, or is one even necessary for ATI cards. Looks like this fellow at Omega is doing for the card drivers what ATI's own engineering should be doing. Oh, what is this media package that is installed with the ATI drivers. Good day Gang,I have just loaded a couple of games on to my new system, FS2002 being one of them. On my old system, when I set my hardware settings to 1600 x 1280 x 32 resolution then went to full screen mode, and then "entered the cockpit", the panel simply resized to the correct screen width and all was visible that was supposed to be visible. I was using a NVidia Ti4400. Now, on the new system, I'm not getting the resizing. I run my desktop at 1152 x 868, but have set the resolution in FS (and in Madden 2004) to 1600... and when I go to full screen mode, the panel is cut off in almost every direction. In my computer, I have onboard sound on the MOBO -- but this is disabled in the BIOS. The audio output of the CD is connected to the MOBO and the amplified speaker system is connected to the Soundcard. I have been told that this would mean that I will not get any sounds from the CD -- BUT I DO!!! Got any ideas?Barry

For several YEARS (yes, and I do mean years) I have had this funny problem with my FlightSim Yoke LE. It just up and quits some times. And, when it does, the hat fails in the up position, the throttle in full, and the aileron/elevator axes full up/left. Of course, it's not long before the aircraft crashes (if I got airborne) and I've wasted lots of time.It doesn't always happen right away, but it usually does. Hello, It's been recommended that I post the above problem here rather than in the MSFS forum.I've added a PC2700 512MB stick of RAM to my machine. It registered fine, no user intervention required in the BIOS, and Windows XP shows the new memory added.Now then, I've been using fs2004 this evening and it crashes all the time - 12 times so far within 5 - 10 mins of launching fs2004! Well, now when Im in the full view of the game, the panel is just a black box but when I go to the view with the box around the game with the minimize button and stuff, the panel is there. Weird, to say the least. Eversince I started using FS9 I get this occassional screen shading - it gets sort of darker for 30 or so seconds (also bit yellowish) and then it gets back to normal.It does not anly affect full-screen FS9, but also windowed mode and also the desktop. I got a brand new card, called tech 3 times and followed all their guesses, followed all the tweaks in forums I can find, but still about 300 feet down a runway get "the black screen of death" to reboot. But, with acceleration off it doesn't do that, just looks like Leggo-Sim. (CFS2, 2k2 and Fs9). Tech whines it's all here, I whine I want a whole new card. Who is probably right?

When I run FS, I set the Sound Acceleration to Basic, gives me better frames, but I noticed this Sample Rate Conversion Quality and I have been wondering what it does, so I turned it from Best to Good, noticed maybe a 1 or 2 frames more, I just would like to know what this means/does?http://members.shaw.ca/kstangrecki/soundq.jpg
