Hi,I've been trying to get the reflective water to show up in FS2004, but I don't think I've been successful. Can someone post a screenshot showing the reflective water so that I can see what it's supposed to look like? Thanks,Tony

I've just run across a new (in the box, never opened) CH Combatstick 568 at over 1/3 off normal price ($99 USD). I'd appreciate some feedback from those of you who have any knowlege of this product. Is this a good deal (other than the fact it's a hundred dollar item for 1/3 less.) I have the CH yoke and pedals, but have no experience with their joysticks. Any info would be great. Thanks, all.Rick

I am getting black boxes around text, lights, and autogen scenery on my laptop. Ive tried it with my default drivers (42.80) and the latest (45.20). It only occurs when i have bilinear or trilinear filtering on. When i take off the filtering, the ground texttures are unbearably ugly. Anyone know how to fix this? Any help would be appreciated. Hi everyone,I have a Saitek X45 HOTAS system for flight simulation, and I've used this setup for about a year. And lately, the joystick components movements have become fairly stuck, that is, it takes a bit more force to move it from the center, and the movement is not smooth, but jerky due to friction. If you have had this problem too and do not know how to fix it, here is a simple tip:What you'll need is a cotton swab or two, and some petroleum jelly. Coat an end of the swab with some petroleum jelly- do so evenly, and do not get too much on it. Now, take the stick component and tilt it to the right, exposing the left part of the base. Swab some petroleum jelly und…

My new mb, chip, and mem will be here shortly. Only thing left to buy is a new video card. Can you guys give some advice on which one of these I should get... They are all Asus... the TI4400, TI4800 or the FX 5600 (non ultra). The price range is around the same for each but between those models don't know which is the better card for money. Thanks in advance....Rob...Oh, and sorry not interested in the ATI cards.. (always liked ASUS)

Hi!This regards use for FS 2002/2004.I asked opinions on the ATI Radeon 9700 PRO before, but receivedcontradictory judgements. Some said it is very good, others stated that the image qualityis blurry and shaky at times.I am seriously interested in upgrading from my GF 4200 Ti 64 MBto a better card, but I get confused.Maybe the GF 4600 is a better card?My setup: 2.53 gHx P4 1 gig RAM.Grateful for serious remarks and advice. My aim is better framerates and better image quality. Thanks!Hans HermanssonSWEDEN

I asked a question in another sites forum about an update for my vid card and a kind person responded and suggested that for my system to get a GF4200. OK, no problem so I go off to FRY'S Electronics (comp store) and ask for one and the teenager salesman stated that the 4200 is a far to old of a card and is not stocked by them anymore. He went on to say that it is a total waste of money and I should be looking at a FX5200 that would 'blow the doors in on any GF series'. Well, I have done a bit of research and am not sure this is correct but beyond that I am really confused now (way to much information over the last few days).I have a AMD2100 512 with a TI200 64 AGP no OC.…

I've noticed some pretty bad stutters in FS2004 when running at 1600x1200. I currently have 512MB of RAM.Would additional RAM help this, or am I simply running up against the wall of my video card's capabilities (Radeon 9500 Pro).

Hi,I was just wondering something. I want to get a CH Yoke and Pedals (USB) for my birthday. One thing that I am concerned about is what throttle to use (I don't like the look of the one on the yoke itself: TOO SMALL AND IN AN AWKWARD POSITION.)What I want to do is to use the separated throttle from my Thrustmaster Afterburner 2 stick (also USB) with the CH bits. I'm not to sure whether the CH yoke and pedals will be compatible with the Thrustmaster.Sorry to make it soooooooo complex and long.Cheers,Greg WillsGood day from England! :-wave

Has M$ added SMP ( Dual CPU ) support in FS9 ? I am consistly over 25 FPS with all sliders maxed ( including traffic ) except clouds/autogen, and a 1600x1200x32 res with real weather. I was all ready to invest in a new system and I found that FS9 is actually working like a charm on my current system while FS2K2 was struggling - both in their native form ( no add-ons ).The performance goes down to 10-15 FPS when there is a heavy low ceiling/overcast. I will most likely take a hit when I add heavy AI traffic using ttools and third party airports. Here are my specs:HP Kayak XM600 Dual 1 Ghz CPUs. 1Gig Rambus PC800, 73 Gig 15K SCSI, 32M GeForce2 GTS ( latest drivers ) + Win XP…

I was wondering which of these two cards might offer better overall performance for simulations like FS2002 and ACOF as well as Train Sim and LOMAC which are either available at this time or will be released until the end of the year. I'm still checking various offers, because the "bang for the buck" factor is important to me, but before I actually make a purchase I would like to gather some feedback from other Radeon users. You can find the rest of my system specs in my signature :-) . As you can see, my current GF3 Ti 200 is likely to become more and more of a bottleneck over the next several months, and in order to get my system up to dealing with sims like LOMAC and Tr…

Hello,I upgraded my system this way:Previous: P4 2.4 400mHz Asus P4B 512DDR Xtasy GF4 MX420 64New: P4 2.8 800FSB Asus P4P800dx 1024DDR PC3200 Radeon 9800 pro 128The new MB has an integrated LAN port and chip (3com Gigabit LOM 3C940 with a 1394 card, plus an integrated soundcard (ADI AD1985 6-channel audio CODEC 1xS/PDIF out).1. I cannot get a connection on internet with the integrated LAN. I have a modem cable. I installed the old card and got a connection no problem. Shouldn't the integrated port give me a connection?2. I have been using a radeon 9500 pro in fs02 for some time now. However, i was never happy with it due to the stuttering problems it caused. I tried most solutions that were posted here and on other forums, but no luck. Now I am using a geforce fx 5200 (128Mb, non-ultra). I cannot believe the difference. First major one is no stuttering. The ATC pop-up window now has clearer text. Frame rates have not been too affected. For example, in 2d panel view i get 30fps; spot-plane view 20fps (15fps on the ground). My first flight (using my new gfx card) was using the ffx 737-500 bmi baby from cardiff to alicante. I was amazed at the difference. I am using the latest drivers …
