Hello, Has anybody returned their 3d glasses under the Edimensional 30 day money back guarantee? As far as I can see, their webiste says I should send an e mail to [email protected] However, two e mails to this address requesting an RMA(?) number for me to return the glasses remain unanswered. I also sent an e mail to the other address at co.uk but this remains unanswered as well. Their phone number appears to be for sales only but I'm going to try it tomorrow anyway. Victor

HI: I justinstalled the CH control manager on my system for use with my CH Yoke & Pedals. My Question is do I have to have the control manager running while using FS2004 for it to have the setting take effect? If I don't start it before using FS the control settings do not seem to take effect. This is my first time using control manager so any help will be appreciated. Thanks....Al

It is a Dell 8300 with the following stuff. 3Ghz FSB-XT PRO-1G memory-120 on the HD and the ATI Radeon XT256 Graphics card. After firing it up I had a screen that said the picture couldn't be drawn. I got through that and after installing the other stuff [printer&joystick] I got a blank screen on the first start up. I turned it off and upon starting, it looked normal.I installed the FS9 and when going from the flight selection screen to Megs field the screen flickered. When loading the scenery a pop up said it was trying to load scenery that wasn't there. I got through that and it flew great with no flickering or pauses. The distant scenery flickers but up close it i…

I'd like to ask the fellow FSimers for your expert opinion on this system hardware to run FS2004 -- I am looking for great visual quality and specially smooth fluid frame rates -- as you can see, it is not the best system out there but it certainly is what I can afford at this time:+ SOYO P4VGA Via Socket 478 barebone system with Intel P4 3.06Ghz CPU with SOYO case, 350 Watt power supply (http://www.tigerdirect.com/applications/SearchTools/item-details.asp?EdpNo=685419&Sku=S450-3090%20A).+ 1024 MB Ultra PC2700 DDR 333 Mhz memory.+ Seagate 120GB, 7200 RPM, 2MB cache, 8.5, ATA-100 EIDE drive.+ XFX nVidia GeForce FX 5600 V, 256 MB DDR, AGP 8X video card (http://www.tiger…

Warning,Attempt only if mechanicly inclined! My out of warranty USB flight sim yoke was unairworthy,(main shaft had excesseve play up and down, and side to side) So here Is how I took out the play using only teflon thread tape. First remove the the holdown clamps, then the 4 rubber pads at each corner of the underside of the case to access the screws under them. Remove all the screws. Holding the case firmly together, place the yoke right side up on a pillow and remove the top part of the case carefully. You will then see the 2 plastic round bushings that the yoke shaft slides thru, at the front and back of the case. carefully lift the shaft up out of the lower case to slid…

I need to know if there is a 4 head graphics card that anyone has used with FS2002 that supports one large desktop area. I want an unwindowed 4 screen display for instruments. Any ideas, or am I out of luck...and I'm going to have to break it up using windowed views? I just tried a Matrox G200 4 Head but it doesn't give the proper options under display settings...Thanks,Ryan

Hi folks, I have a trusty AthlonXP 1500 with 1GB RAM (running Windows 2000). Unfortunately, attached to it is a pathetic little GeForce3 with 64MB RAM (albeit overclocked). I want to upgrade my graphics card. I am hearing great things about the various Radeon cards. I can get a Radeon 9600 pretty inexpensively around here, but I don't understand what the differences are between the various types of Radeon 9600s. Also, does the performance increase between a Radeon 9600 with 256MB RAM and a Radeon 9800 with 128MB RAM justify the price difference? Will I even be able to enjoy the benefits of this card with my system? Primarily, I want better texture loading, crisper texture…

Hi Everyone:Long time flight simmer... really enjoying my FS9 experience... but my frame rates are really starting to irritate me. I have adjusted my display setting enough where I'm confident I'm getting the best performance possible w/o sacrificing too much diplay... but I'm still not satisfied. That said, I was hoping someone might be able to point me in the right direction. What can I get to increase my frame rate performance... video card, CPU, any thoughts or ideas would be great. I just updated my system with a new 9800 XT card. I used the included CD software but I noticed the driver has been updated on the ATI download site. The dial-up download options are 3 separate files - the driver, the control panel, and WDM capture. If I update the card do I need all three files? Thanks. Tom

Last night I ordered a stick of Corsair XMS memory from Outpost.com at 10 PM central time and it was delivered at 12 PM central today by Airborne Express. I couldn't have gotten it any faster if I drove over to the local Fry's store and picked up it off the shelf! Outpost and New Egg had the best price I could find on the internet but New Egg wanted $15 for overnight delivery versus $7 for Outpost. Either way I assumed overnight delivery on an order placed at 10 PM on a Thursday night would mean Monday delivery. Outpost certainly exceeded my expectations on this occasion.

  21. I would like to know if anyone has had a problem in FS 2004 with either the retail or OEM vesion of this card causing sudden loss of sound and frame rate drop to 1 with need to reboot computer to restore its function. I suspect my problem relates to the card or its driver, but would like to know if I am the only one. After this happens the card diagnostics proclaim hardware test failure, and usually rebooting makes the diagnostic proclaim that all is well again.I use Win XP and the OEM Dell version of this card with latest driver as posted by Dell. Dell will not help with this problem saying it is the fault of FS 2004 not the card. Thanks,GReg

Unfortunately the motherboard on my athlon 2100+ burned out.The good news is I got a fairly top of the line system for an extremely good price. (p4 3.2 hyperthreading, geforce fx 5600 with 256, 1 gig memory, windows prof, etc.).Man-this sim rocks now-the flight models feel amazingly better-leading me to postulate that perhaps one can't judge them fairly on a lower system-amazing the difference, the gauges move smoother, and 30-40 fps or higher is the norm. It is obvious that power = everything with this sim.I also experienced my first ctd ever tonight flying at Sion and also believe I saw the "autogen bug"-something I had never seen before with a slower system! Interesting…
