I recently installed a new software that uploaded Direct-X 9.X. Now my MSFS2002 has video errors. I cannot see my aircraft in 'Create A Flight' and when I launch, while the panel looks good, the exterior world is messed up.I tried disabling the 3-D and I can se the planes now (although at less quality), so I assume the problem has something to do with the DIRECT-X 3-D and not my video card (NVidia GeForce 5200 w/ current drivers)I have 2 questions.1. Does anyone know a fix?2. How does one remove current DIRECT-X and can it be replaces with older versions? (Note the DIRECT-X web site only has new drivers and doesnt appear to carry older ones)Thanks in advance.GD

...and so far I am very pleased with it. It's probably my imagination but I seem to get a better feeling of being "up in the air" whilst using it.Now shall I see if my wife will see the benefit of getting the upgrade to add another 4 vectors?:-) :D

Hi.I have a bit of a niggling problem that I was hoping someone here might be able to help me with.this is what happened.I went to the ATI site and downloaded the latest CAT 4.12 driver with the complete control panel as specified by ATI for my XT800PE.but it told me that I would need the Microsoft.NET Version 1.1 Framework installed to use this driver and it's utilities, well I got them both, installed the .Net driver, and then the CAT4.12, well I didn't see any improvements whatsoever, and didn't like the control panel much etc, so I un-installed the .Net Framework driver,and the ATI driver and ran the ATI utilities to get rid of anything left behind, as usual, then I d…

Hi Since I installed XP (a year and a half ago) my USB CH Pro Pedals stop working after a while. I have to unplug and plug them back to make them work again... I use an AMD TB 1.4 with Asus VIA mother board... I did not have this problem with Win ME. Yet I was told that a patch from Windows fix such an issue on XP and AMD... I use SP2 and still the problem occurs I sent CH Support a message but I am wondering does anyone has this issue? Thanks Michel

Hi Guys.I bought myself an early Christmas present, the Gainward GeForce 6800 Ultra and am impressed so far. It makes a huge difference from my Ati 9700 Pro. What I was wondering was if anyone out there had a similar card, could I ask for some assistance for the best settings for FS9 in the GeForce Control Panel in the display settings. Coming from the Ati Control Panel I'm at a loss as to how the Anistrophic Filtering should be set on NVidia cards as well as the Anti Aliasing etc etc. to get the best out of FS9.I'm also running the card on the provided 61.76 drivers. Just got an X800Pro. I installed the Omega drivers and found that the base clock speed is 472 core /452 memory. I have taken this up to 550/500 with Radlinker but anything above this causes artifacts and lock-ups. Does anyone have any experience with overclocking the X800 series? I read somewhere that the core speed of the X800Pro is 500Mhz and the memory speed is 950Mhz? However I cannot ever reach the memory speed of 950Mhz. Any thoughts?Shez

I will soon take delivery of a very upscale rig. I will run dual monitors (assuming I can figure out how to do that) but I will also have the option of running a Dual PC setup using my old P4, 1.7, 512 rig as the second PC.I did a search on "dual pc" and got a billion hits. I've had a new CH USB yoke and pedals now for several weeks, but I still can't get the brakes to work correctly. Actually the brakes work fine (from the keyboard or from a button on the yoke) until I use a toe brake, and then neither the keyboard (period) nor the yoke button work any longer. I have to use the hand brake to stop the aircraft. If I reset the flight, they work again until I use a toe brake. Is that the only way to stop a real aircraft on the ground--by applying both the toe brakes?I've searched for this topic and have found nothing.Any help much appreciated!ed gates

Ok. I have 1024MB of RAM. Currently I am flying with FS9.1. I have Windows XP with SP2. Currently in my task manager window, under Physical Memory, it shows the following:Total: 1,047,200Available:440,544System Cache:185,600Now why is it my PF Usage graph shows a PF usage of 1.08GB? It was my understanding that the page file is only used when the physical memory is used up? Why is XP having such a large PF file when I have 440MB of physical RAM left?

Ok...I used to be able to get 20-30 fps in FS9 with all the eye candy turned up to about 75%. That was with a GeForce FX 5200 256Mb AGP4X card, 1 Gig of PC 2700 Ram, and a older MB, with my AMD XP2200 1.8Ghz Processor. I have upgraded to this.... When I start up FS2004 the image is beautiful, very stable and almost without flickering.However, when I switch to my desktop and then return to FS2004 the image quality is much less and msot of all there is a lot of flickering.Any suggestions?Thanks for your help!Marco Bruno

hello happy new year, i have a question about a ati radeon9800 pro 256 mb. when a run dxdiag it says under monitor 1 tab ,that agp is not available, my windows is in dutch so it's not proper english. I have just made a clean install of xp and put in the newest ati catalyst drivers, im sure that this the one windows is using, does somebody now how to fix this? fs9 is running ok, but every now and then my fps go down and back up again, maby related to this problem. this one is really mking me scratching my head so if anyone could help?? rick

I currently have Logitech 4.1 surround sound speakers and an Audigy Gamer sound card. I have suffered with popping and crackling in the speakers with the more advanced 3rd party add-ons for FS9. I've tried all the suggested trouble shooting tips to no avail.Some have told me that new speakers may do the trick. They're about 2 years old.
