Please I need some help.I was using DNA 3.2.4.10 and everything was fine.Today I decided to install DNA 3.6.5.1 and so far nothing works. I completely uninstalled the previous drivers and also used the Driver Cleaner 3 in The Safe mode.Under the programs menu I see DNA drivers. But if I want to select the ATI Control Panel - nothing happens. If I select "ATI Tray Tools" I get "NO ATI device found". If I select the SmartGart panel - again nothing.I tried both installations - with the new or old style panel but so far nothing works.Michael J.WinXP-Home SP2,AMD64 3500+,Abit AV8,Radeon X800Pro,36GB Raptor,1GB PC3200,Audigy 2

I wanted to ask those of you who happen to have Corsair memory (probably TwinX) with the ASUS A7N8XE-deluxe motherbord or a very similar Asus variation (with AMD CPU and NVIDIA NForce2 Ultra 400 chipset) the following question (assuming a setup of 2x512MB of DDR SDRAM at 400MHz / PC3200)-How has your performance and stability been in FS2004? Do you have good framerates even in custom photo-realistic airports (third-party addons) and with add-on mesh like the mesh from FSGenesis? Good frame-rates would probably be at least 15fps even when taxiing at one of these add-on airports with the mesh also installed for that region.-Have you had any problems with crashes to desktop …

I just installed a new video card and drivers and now notice that at low altitudes (2000feet), the ground textures, buildings, etc are very sharp and clear for about two miles and then everything gets blurry. The strange thing is that at highter altitudes(8000 feet), everything seems much clearer.I have tweaked a number of settings in the .cfg file trying to get things to clear up at lower altitudes but no luck.Does anyone know what setting is used to clear up ground textures at lower altitues.Any help with this is much appreciated.I have included my .cfg file and I am using the Winter pack of FSSCENE and American Data Roads, Streams etc.Roger Hollands[PANELS]IMAGE_QUALITY=…

I just wanted to drop in and share with you fellow FS2004 users about the new Garmin iQue 3600a that I received recently:http://www.cessnasim.com/index.php?/archiv...ots-Dream!.htmlFirst of all, it's an awesome GPS. However... forget about hooking it up to Microsoft Flight Sim using Peter Dowson's gpsout.dll. I've not been able to get it to work at all.The Aviation Yoke Mount Cradle also does not have any way to hook it up to the computer when mounted in this cradle. There's no outputs and there's only one input for power.I would be happy just to be able to use the HotSync USB cradle and get flight sim working on it, but their proprietary Que software makes it impossible …

hi allafter i did my mini upgrade a week or so ago and placed the GForce FX6600GT in my Asus A7V7X mobo, my computer runs very hot after an hr or so playing flight simulator, i only have a 300W power supply and i believe that to these new tech Video Cards need alot of electricity to run, ive also notice that i take off nice n smooothly only to find that when i am approaching my destination, the game is down to its knees with fps at around 5 and very noticable stutters,so i'm wondering is this bc the computer is running hot that im losing performance ?

Help! I don't know what's going on - FS9 loads and I'm at the screen where I can choose aircraft, time of day, weather and location, and the bottom part of the screen where the aircraft model display spins around first turns black, then in about 10 seconds, displays the aircraft and locks up and turns garbled and multi-colored.I even did a complete re-install and this still happens. I'm running a GeForce 4 Ti4600 on a Pentium 4 2.24Ghz custom system and have had no problems before today. Can someone lend assistance?

Although many replace their systems in tandem with each MSFS release, some hang onto their systems for a long time. I recently experienced a symptom which reminded me of how important it is to document your CMOS (BIOS) settings. Just about other simmer has tweaked their BIOS in some way. Usually, it's that one odd tweak that gets everything "just right". But imagine losing that "one" tweak that made all the difference?A couple of days ago, I noticed my system clock had suddenly lost about twelve hours. Thought perhaps my daughter had adjusted it while she was playing games. But I made a note of it, and on my reboot the following morning, it had even lost more time.I…

I have an analog two axis-4 buttons yoke (gameport), Thrustmaster Elite Rudder Pedals (gameport), an analog joystick (gameport) in which I blocked the left-right axis, so that it can work as a throttle, and Thrustmaster Attack Throttle. Can anybody tell me if I can use in any way, for FS2004 with Win XP, the combination yoke+pedals+Attack Throttle or yoke+pedals+joystick throttle, connected to my gameport or to usb with some gameport/usb adapters?I would be really grateful if someone could help me.Thanks

Greetings all, Flying the scenic wonders flights results in a nasty 2-3 second stutter almost exactly every 30 seconds or so! FPS with all options on high stays in the 50-70 range, during the stutter they go to 20-25fps. Does anyone know how to stop this issue? I have tried turning graphics options down etc, but the problem persists!FS20004 + v9.1 patchWindows Xp Corp ProWinXP Service Pack 2 / DX9.0c3.0ghz P4 800fsb Northwood cpuGigabyte Radeon X800 XT Platinum1gig dual channel Corsair 3200 LL ram200gig Seagate barra HDD'sAsus P4C800E-deluxe moboSaitek X52 joystickLogitech MOMO FF (pedals as rudder)RegardsGary aka IceDOG

For any video card and monitor combination, does the maximum screen resolution that can be set in the computer dependant upon the monitor as well as the video card? I use the DVI input on my LCD screen, and notice that I can't get to 1600*1200 screen resolution (I have yet to try the analogue input of the monitor- Sony 18" LCD). Video card is an ATI 9800 Pro 128MB.Thanks, Bruce.

I think I know the answer but will post anyway in hopes that someone can advise me. I just got back from Circuit City and was a sucker for a neat looking Saitek Joystick. My old one was a simple CH joystick but with the old heavy duty CH rudder pedals. Of course, now with a USB joystick and an old set of gameport rudder pedals my pedals are useless right? I may take this fancy shmansy stick back just to get my stick and rudder combo back. Tell me it ain't so even though I know it is so. Next step, all new controls.

Hello,Here are a few memory performance tweaks:http://www.windowsxpatoz.com/cgi-bin/perfo...0&id=1036282433These Settings will fine tune your systems memory management - at least 256MB of ram recommended:Go to startrunregedit - and then to the following key HKEY_LOCAL_MACHINESYSTEMCurrentControlSetControlSession ManagerMemory Management 1. DisablePagingExecutive- double click it and in the decimal put a 1 - this allows XP to keep data in memory now instead of paging sections of ram to harddrive yields faster performance. 2. LargeSystemCache- double click it and change the decimal to 1 - this allows XP Kernel to Run in memory improves system performance alot 3. create …

Hi everyone,I just got the newest ATI omega drivers and much to my dismay, FS became much much slower (like 10FPS slower). I tried to roll back the drivers to an earlier version (2.5.58) but FS was still slow. I then uninstalled them and cleaned them according to Driver Cleaner Pro. I reinstalled the drivers, but now, any settings in Radlinker don't work! I have no AA nor AF and whether I set it in Radlinker or FS, nothing works. Can someone help me?-CalForgot to mention, here are my specs:Dell 2.0ghz768mb ram128mb ATI Radeon Pro 9800 w/cooling at 408/372Creative SB Live!
