I have a few questions for those using 2 monitors and about Active Camera.1. If I am using full screen mode in one monitor and try and switch to the 2nd, FS on the full screen monitor minimises. Thats annoying, is there a way to keep the full screen mode active?2. If I undock a 2D panel and move it to the 2nd monitor the arrow cursor starts flashing and FS kind of locks up. Is there a fix for that?3. Using Active Camera (now on Win XP 64) and moving about in the VC. The movement is very jerky.4. Hello to all flight simmers. I recently ordered a new computer from Hypersonic PC (see sig). I would like to get some feedback from those running like configured systems or components. I have been out of the flight simulator world for about 5 months now. I left Delta Air Lines in Atlanta and took a position with Fedex in Memphis. As soon as I receive my machine and get the system unification from Michael you will see me back in here in full throttle. I spec-ed it out in SLI so I can use it with Lock On. OR should I wait for some prices to come down and get the FX series or the AMD 4400 processor and PCIe motherboard/video card? I own the CH USB rudder pedals and haven't been happy with them since I got them. Even after I adjust the null zones and sensitivities, they don't operate very well.The braking is always extremely sensitive, especially in my smaller GA aircraft. The rudder inputs are also very disproportionate. Now, my left toe brake doesn't work.Is there someway that I can configure the pedals to work the best way? Coule somebody tell me how they have it setup, or maybe suggest another set of pedals?Thanks,Tim

Hi there!Yseterday my 4 year old computer running on WinME crashed. When I tried to re-boot I got the message 'Invalid system disc - remove and hit any key to continue' I get this from time to time when I've left a diskette in the machine and forgot to remove it. But this time there wasn't a diskette there :-( And hitting any key just brings up the same message.Hopefully on Mon or Tue I'll be able to take it into the service guys, but before I do, does anyone have any ideas what could be up. Hi all,I have a LOGITEC WINGMAN FORCE 3D that generally works fine when the aircraft is airborne, my problems start when taxiing or landing as I have absolutely no control via the joystick of the front nose wheel of the aircraft which usually turns by itself 90 degrees from the expected direccion.More info:This joystick has a USB connection, my OS is Windows XP Professional with DirectX9 (I think), downloaded the latest drives recommended by Logitech.The pc is a AMD ATHLON, 1.00 GHz, 512 MB RAMI have done multiples calibrations and nothing has effect on this problem with this rebel nose wheel.Help please, generally it works well whilst in flight but it's really frustratin…

I have FS9 on my 'F' partition. Had it there for years with no problems. When I tried to Defrag it yesterday, I got this warning:"Volume 'F' has 11% free space,but only 8% is available for use by Disk Defragmenter(due to RESERVED SYSTEM SPACE). To run effectively, Disk Defragmenter requires at least 15% usable free space . There is not enough disk space to properly complete the operation. Delete some unneeded files on your hard disk, an then try again."I have 2 Gig of memory and I do NOT use a page file. I am thinking about a new Dell System and note that they offer a 24" digital flat panel display. The native display mode is 1920x1200 and it is quoted to have a 12 ms response time.My question is on running FS2004 at 1920x1200 (WSXGA)- will this work? I have a friend who has a new Dell with a 20" digital flat plan display running at 1600x1200 and it looks great. I just do not know about the 1920x1200.Can anybody help?RegardsDave

Hello everyone!I'am writing becasue I'am tired of changing my PC settings and being unable to get proper results. The thing is that both FS2K2 and FS9 scenery textures are...hmmmm shaking, moving, flowing, flickering (don't know how to describe this better) while the quality and speed (frames) remains fine. I'am not sure now if it's a software problem or.....should I install WinXP again...or maybe it's a hardware thing? Well, call me the dummy of the year but I just did some searching and found that with newer graphic boards and newer drivers (mine are not the newest (ATI 9800Pro and 4.12 cat's) that Render to Texture within FS9 did NOT need to be checked on while using DXT3 textures. I use DXT3 texuters on my PMDG and LDS planes and use the 128x128 DXT3 textures with ASV and thought I had to have it checked to prevent FS crashing..guess not. The jaggies I had on the planes are now gone as well. I use no AA from within FS and run AA at 4 and AF at 8 on my card. Who would thought?

Hi,I have a 7800GT card and am experiencing strange yellow flashes in cloud and ground textures. This usually occurs in distant scenery.I've tried various Nvidia drivers (currently 81.84 beta) and settings (AA, AF & MM's) without success.I'm using ASV's 128x128 cloud textures.Has anyone else experienced this? Hi all,I recently bought a BFG 7800GT and have the 78.01 drivers installed from the Nvidia website. Everything runs great except the AA. When I move the slider to anything above 4 I get a black screen where the plane should be in the create flight window. As soon as I move it back to 4 or lower this problem goes away. Does anyone know how I can fix this? Thanks. Also I have AA disabled in flight sim.Randy

i've just got a new laptop, but i am having trouble trying to connect in the the internet. I have a BT 2MB broadband connection that works fine on my desktop, but when i try connecting the network cable, it doesn't want to play. As far as i can see, all the settings are correct/the same, the notification display says there is a connection, but internet explorer doesn't find anything, defaulting to the have you got the right settings/address page.What am i doing wrong?Also BTW, I have it on automatically detect settings, tried connecting with and without the firewall. they are the 81.82v2 betas. I installed them last night and they seem well suited to FS9...textures are very vivid, and so far, no blurries. I don't know that this is the cure-all, but I think they are worth a trial...get them at www.tweaksrus.comsherm

I have installed two versions of FS on my PC and they do work independently, one on my C: drive (which was the original weighing in at around 25gb), which has the 733NG and 744 installedTo enable me to install another copy of FS I did the following:-I renamed the .cfg and .exe files to FSold.cfg and FSold.exe this then enabled me to install a second parallel version of FS on my new F: drive. I have now discovered that the new version does install a new .cfg in the C: drive (which is not a problem) so they are all working ok?
