Wanting to see what is popular when people use fs9 or beyond?

Hisince I updated the driver of my TI 4200 grafics cart the edges of the planes look broken lines no straight lines and they ar chaging constandly!

During climbout from KDTW in moderate WX, in the PMDG 747, switched to spot view. Things froze and then I got an out of memory message. My rig: FX55 CPU, Nvidia 6800 Ultra, 2Gig matched Corsair ram, dual channel agp mb and over 80 Gig free space. Could someone please explain to me how I could be out of memory? I quess I need some schoolin in this area! Thanks for the help.Joe

Has anyone found a good supplier for the Dell 2405 monitor? I just bought a new PC without the monitor and was looking at the 2405. I think Dell wants over $1000 for one. Very cool smoothness in the instruments and the flight model of the C172 is the best I've seen in a sim, particularly in the way that the aircraft seeks the trimmed speed with changes in power. I am about to install a new motherboard (A8N-SLI), but am for the moment retaining my older IDE drives- both HD's and DVD's.Currently, in my old system, I have the Primary and Secondary IDE's cabled to 2 drives each (both HD's and DVD's on Primary and Secondary respectively), with the jumpers arranged on all units to configure it to a "master" or "slave" status. I was anticipating doing the same on the new board.However, looking at the new mobo manual, I see 3 IDE slots:1. Blue Primary IDE.2. Black Slave IDE3. Hello,This is more of a software problem than a hardware one I'm sure but thought it more appropriate to post here. I just installed two sounsets one for the default DC3 and another for the Baron 58. also installed the Socata Trinidad. I used FlightSim manager for the a/c but manually installed the Soundsets. When I was just finishing a flight into EIDW the Fs9 just quit, an error message appeared but I just put it down to a glitch. Its never happened before. About a week ago, I was unable to reinstall or upgrade ATI drivers for my 9800 Pro. Fortunately, the system restore worked to an earlier date.My Lexmark Z52 printer also ceased to work. I could not even get it to be recognized by windows XP Pro.A third problem, was that I could not format a floppy. The format command was not recognized.ATI suggested that I reinstall .NET Framework. I've recently bought a new computer and I'm have some issues with it... My hard driver is continually reading when ever i fly and it makes FS9 and other games become a slide show.I can get frame rates upwards of 30-40 fps (I've locked them to 25fps) Its particually worse at when im flying at dawn or dusk, or when im at an airport that has even light to moderate A.I. traffic and scenery upgrades. it also happens with Pacific Fighters but it seems to clear up after a minute or so.Even when i try to run the inbuilt tv tuner (which I need as the Ex wife took my t.v.) it turns out like a slide show....in the shop the display model ran flawlessly. Hi guys,I have a GF6800GT in my FS rig now. Lucky as I am an ATI X850XT fell in my hands for almost no $$. Boefore I go through the hazzle of changing cards I'd like to know if it is worth it for FS2K4 and my home cockpit (AMD 3800+) or whether I simply should install the ATI in another rig I use for casual gaming (AMD Barton 3200+ holds a 9800XT now).Any suggestions?Alex

Hi,At what speed do you run your GPU and memory clock?Mine is set to run GPU at 430MHz and Memorcy clock at 1.2GHz. Temp at idle is 54 degrees Celsius. Goes up to 61-62 when running FS.Different vendors seem to set the GPU speed at different levels and I wonder if I could run my card at higher speeds without damaging the card. What is the temp threshold in your opinion?Ulf B

I was wondering if it is possible to buy the bushings that go in the front and back of the CHProducts USB yoke, as well as the internal springs. Over the years, through much use, the bushings have worn way down and began to stick badly, as well as the springs have stretched and do not centre very well. After taking about a year off from the flight sim arena, I have been lured back in by aircraft like the PMDG stuff and the Level D 767, and therefore I am thinking of purchasing a new machine. After reading the horror stories about the 7800, how does the 256MB PCI express x16 nVidia GeForce 6800 act with FS? How about a dual configuration?Also, on processors, is the "Extreme Edition" Dual core really worth the huge increase in $$ compared to the 840? Evening allOver the past 2 months or so I have a problem when min/maximizing FS while starting other programs or adjusting them for FS (such as Radar Contact or ASV wx.) What happens is when I hit the ALT button to minimize or resize, and then hit ALT again to maximize the screen (FS), many times FS will hang and show nothing but an hour glass flickering. 1) The throttle on the joystick does not operate at the full range. Basically, it's at a 10% to 90% range. I've calibrated it, tried various sensetivities and dead-zones and still can not expand the range to 0%-100%. Yes, the F1 and F4 keys work okay but I would like to get the proper function on th JS. Is there a aircraft.cfg edit to take care of this?2) I've notice with the various aircraft that the forcefeedback levels can vary. One A/C they are perfect, another they barely exist and yet another it practically breaks your wrist. Agian, an aircraft.cfg edit?Thanks in advance.
