Hello, My video cards is beginning to act up so it's time to think about replacing it. I currently have an ATI Raydeon 9500 Pro (AGP). The CPU is a Pentium 4 3.2Gh, 1 Gig of Ram.My motherboard has an AGP slot but is not PCI express compatable. My budget is about $150 max. Any sugesstions on what card will give me the most bang for my buck?

Any opinions on adding additional RAM.I currently have 1024MB but am thinking of adding an additional 1024MB. The reason for this is that I use a lot of add-ons (LEVEL-D 767, PMDG 747-400, FSGenesis Mesh, Ultimate Terrain, BirdsEyeView, Ultimate Traffic, ActiveSky6, FS2Crew). This occasionally takes my resources very low and so I'm thinking about the added RAM. Do you think itll add enough benefit to be worth the $110-$120. System is a Dell 8300Pentium 4 at 3.2Ghz, 128MB DDR ATI Radeon 9800 120GB SATA HD. Thanks.

I have 2 External Drives and 2 DVD players (1 is a recorder). I have assigned the DVD drives the letter 'V' and 'W' and the external drives 'J' and 'K'. That works fine! However, when I turn off the computer and reboot, the DVD drives will have the letters 'J' and 'K' and the externals 'L' and 'M'. I changed them back using Disk Management. But once I reboot the DVD's revert back to 'J' and 'K'.I am using WINDOWS XP PROFESSIONAL SP1.Appeciate any help. Thanks.Abe

I've had my Emagin Z800 3d visor for a couple of weeks now and I'm settling into them quite well. The GoodWow. What can I say. FS9 in 3d with these glasses is outstanding. No dark screens and no ghosting. Just fantastic viewing. Flying areas such as Yosemite NP, Grand Canyon or Alaska is simply awesome.The BadWhilst the visor is suggested for normal desktop work, it's not really something I'd like to do. In addition, when using FS9, I needed to avoid rolling my head too much (such as when banking) as this sometimes lead to a feeling of nausea. Can anyone reccommend features (or perhaps particular models) of ADSL routers that will work well with FS9, e.g. when flying online?

Hi,I've read in various forums that it is better to set mip maps in FS9 to none and enabling bilinear or trilinear externally in the driver setting. I've tried this, but it seems that changing the settings via the driver settings has no effect in FS9 and the textures are extremely pixellated (even near textures). My first post here and its a problem :( I have a Saitek Cyborg 3D Force joystick which does not react as it should in FS2004. I have the latest drivers for the joystick but one problem is that I am unable to get full throttle from the throttle levers - only about 3/4. Therefore, it is difficult to control the aircraft during checkrides etc.On another checkride, I altered the rudder control slightly (twisting the joystick handle) and the aircraft became uncontrollable, gyrating all over the sky. Lately, I've been experiencing a recurring situation where FS9 will lockup my system completely at different times requiring a hard reboot. This event can occur while sitting on the ground, while flying, or on approach. I can be flying a 172 or a BAC 1-11. The symptoms are few. Sound will click and loop, and computer freezes. I know I joined the game late, but I picked up FS2004 last Sunday, and I've been having an absolute ball with it. I did have FS02, but for various reasons, I've only now just gotten the latest version.But when I take the default Lear and taxi into position on any runway, set the flaps at 8, and power up, I find that my nose starts drifting all over the runway on my takeoff roll, resulting in a lot of rudder input on my part to try and keep it straight, sometimes with disasterous results (like running over a taxiing C-17 at CHS, for example). Not really a hardware issue but what the hey, wanted to throw this out to fellow simmers first.Simple problem. I can no longer see in my Windows Control Panel in the ADD/REMOVE Programs window... just blank. After further research it apparently could have something to do with my Internet Explorer program (Gawd, I hate that program!). Fine, no problem... I'll just un-install it. I decided to try the full blown ATI Catalyst Center - I never had much luck installing one. I tried to install the latest 6.3 version that is compatible with both .NET 1.1 and 2.0 (I have the latter). Everything went fine but after I rebooted I got this big screen from ATI CCC telling me I have no permission to change any of the CC setting (even screen resolution!) and I should contact my administrator. Ok, I am the administrator. What now? Searched through the ATI knowledge base and found nothing. I have a Quadro2 MXR/EX PCI card that I want to use with my 6600GT PCIe card. The latest drivers for my PCIe card are 84.21 and the products supported for these drivers include the Quadro2 MXR (http://www.nvidia.com/object/IO_30454.html).
