Hi all,I just upgraded my P4 3.0 to an Athlon 4600+ X2. I already have a PNY 6800 GT. I have a gig of RAM, and a SATA RAID 0 drive. The motherboard is a Gigabyte 939-K8 something- It's an 8X AGP board. I think the chipset is ULI.I'm trying to "optimize" my system, so I bought 3D Mark 06 so I could compare against others.Now, I'm not sure what I'm doing wrong, but my scores seem low (definately!) compared to other users. For example, I am only getting 2600 when other users with identical setups are getting 3000.I am using the latest drivers (81.98?). There is a long thread at the Reality XP forum regarding %CPU time, the Garmin trainer, NTVDM, and the impact to frame rates that some of us experience. I know that some people are not impacted, or at least don't notice the impact. Howdy folksI'm having a big problem here!I recently went throuh a format off my PC and had to reinstall everything.Now i was updating my system (WINXP SP2 and such via the windows update center) and now i lost a partition!!I have 2 hard disks in my PC where one is divided in 2 (my main disk) and then another one.So i used to have drives C,D (same disk in 2 partitions) and drive G (which is a secondary hard disk).Now i only have the drives C and G.I don't think the partition D is lost,cause i have only 40Gb of space on the C drive (which would be 80Gb if the partition was lost).So i think i need to re-activate that partition but i have no idea on how to do that...So if any…

I have a P4 3.0, 1.5 Gb Ram, Pny 6800 GT (256 Mb), and WD 200 Gb 7200 Rpm 8mb Cache. My system is constantly cleaned (not less than once a day) with Diskeeper and Registry mechanic and is tweaked in every possible way. My fps are normally 24 (locked at 25) and I have around 15 with some complex sceneries.Although I have an acceptable performance in terms of FR with almost all my addons, I have big problem in terms of ground texture loading when I run some photorealistic sceneries such as Megascenery ones. I'm running a Dell 9100 (3GHZ), 2 gig ram, ATI X600 video card, and a 24" wide LCD monitor at 19x12 resolution. In FS I get 12-16 fps with a fair amount of stutters.I know not to expect much from my video card at my high resolution, and will upgrade the card when the new FS comes out in the fall. I use "enditall" to terminate background programs. Running 3DMark05 gives a poor score of 1733.When I first got the Dell we had to swap motherboards twice to get it right. Hi folks, Last week I was unwise enough to try a disk from the cover of PC User magazine, which had a demo version of the new King Kong game. The game would not run on my machine and so I uninstalled it. I then found my DVD multiformat burner had stopped working properly. It could no longer burn CDs, although it could still read DVDs. I then read a disclaimer on the disk that said the game I had tried to load was copy protected with the StarForce system and to use it at my own risk. Hi, I wonder if someone can help me out here. Just updated the Omega's from 3.8.205 to 221. Omega say no need to uninstall if already on Omega's. I've done that before with no problem, and this time they appeared to install faultlesly. However, I noticed quite a bit of lag when closing programmes etc., so decided to follow the advise on another thread and uninstalled, ran driver cleaner, then reinstalled. Hi The throttle on my CH yoke started pulsating.I can watch the leaver in the sim flickering up and down. I went into the CH controle manager and tried re calibrating and now its stuck pulsating in the calibration section half way up.Where do I go from here.I was thinking of doing a complete re and re of the CH gear and the Manager. I have a relatively new system (3700+ CPU, 1GB PC3200 RAM, GE6600GT video card, Asus A8N motherboard). I have applied various tweaks to my system, but always make sure they work OK, or I restore. However, something has happened within the past few weeks, in that when I exit out from a program, then go back into it, it's as if there are no pieces left in memory from the previous session. Hello,I just got a new mainboard/CPU and memory and now I want to try and upgrade my XP system without a reinstall.Does anyone know if this can be done? I have googled it and there is plenty about windows xp, so I think there isn't any problem there. Not sure about all my other programs.My concern is FS related. Do I need to reinstall FS so it is in the registry? How about all my Flight1 products? Has anyone here been able to compare these two installation options using the same hardware, insofar as FS9 performance/smoothness goes? I understand the current ACPI implementation is normally very stable n robust but I am curious nonetheless if there is any effect of bypassing IRQ sharing (ie having dedicated IRQs) on modern faster machines. If I end up reinstalling my OS some day I may try choosing the standard PC HAL just to see how it goes. I think I would have enough IRQs to cover what I have running on this machine.Noel

Quick question....I am running three computers for my projection system. Two of them are using ATI Radeon 9800 type cards and one computer has an NVIDEA card. I noticed that there is a color vibrance adjustment on the NVIDEA card that really enhances the projected image. However, I find no such adjustment on the ATI cards.Is there such an adjustment, and if so, what's it called and how do I get at it?ThanksJon

Hi,I've just installed FS2004 on a new machine and I can't go into full screen (it's grayed out).When I run FS the it tells me 3D is disabled, is that the reason why full screen isn't working?I run dxdiag, and it says that direct3d is disabled.I've installed the latest video driver ans I get the same result.System setup:AMD 2800+512 Megs RAMMatrox G450 16M dual head (I'm using multi display)ANy clues, how I could resolve that??Thanks
