Is anyone running FS9 on a Sempron 3500? They're almost giving those away right now. R-EDIT to add: Oh, if anyone is running FS9 on one,then can you tell me how it works. Hello,I am having trouble with my Matrox Parhelia 128Mb graphics card.I'm using the latest microsoft signed Parhelia drivers from the manufacturers website and have DirectX 9c installed.The sim starts up fine, but within 2 mins the whole screenbecomes fuzzy. I currently have an ATI 9800 Pro 128 mb video card. I try to keep up with the latest driver changes from ATI but have been very unhappy with the new style control center verses the older "Control Panel" used to set up the various setting on the card.What really bothers me is that the ATC window is almost unreadable when using the newer style CCC. I have only been able to find the old control panel going up to the 5.11 drivers from last year.Does anyone else out there have this same problem? If so, is there a way to use the newer 6 series drivers (this year) with the older control panel? Can the older control panel be downloaded separately as they appear to be bundled with…

This is a basic question that has probably been answered before on the forum. I would like a link to answer my questions or comments.I have an ATI 9800 128MB pro video card.I run my card with 4X on both Anti-Aliasing and Anisoltropic Filtering for 3D and Open GL.The only thing I really know is that Anti-Aliasing gets rid of the jagged edges on the airplane.1. What is the basic difference between 3D and Open GL on my settings for the card?2. What is the basic difference between Anti-Aliasing and Anisoltropic Filtering?AND what should I look for when I change the "X" settings?Thanks

I have XP with plug and play controllersa MOMO steering wheela CH yokeand a Saitek stick and throttleall plugged into my USB ports.The problem is that I have to unplug everything except the yoke to us FS9. The FS9 setup (via the pull downs) does allow me to select the yoke but it does not 'stick'.I mean, my settings on the yoke do not workanyideas?

I'd been spending the last 8 months researching immersion displays, from homebuilding HMDs to fresnel collimated displays, even bought a scaler to try curved/dome screen projection. Looks like Matrox just nullified all of that. Greetings folks!!SLight problem...maybe you all could shed light on.Just upgraded my system to AMD64 x2 3800Windows XP1 GIG DDR 400 ramMSI K8N Neo2 Plat. ( bought it a year ago..just now using it)Gforce 6600 OC graphics board..Problem is that when flying around, screen flickers and seems to "skip" frames when getting close to ground 8000 ft. I have the latest graphics drivers and nforce3 drivers installed. Both drives defraged and memory is paired. Any suggestions??IGO

The Emagin Z800 has caught my eye as a nice toy that might benefit my simming experience. I was wondering if there are any UK users of the product. Ok guys, just got a new motherboard a Gigabyte GA-KNMF-9 NF4 4xProblem is as followed i setup a new hardisk with clean winxp install no errors, now here things go weird. I transfer my XFX6800GS from my old board and everything installs fine motherboard drivers and so on no problems. However after i install the latest Nvidia forceware (allready tried older ones too) for the 6800 my taskmanager gives me between 70 to 80% usage constantly. (even after shutting down ALL SERVICES) running in the background it stays the same high usage..However after removing the display drivers, everything is fine again.. Install them and the problems is back again.. What gives??? any you guys…

Hey guys,I've just installed a new copy of windows XP home edition, after this, I downloaded the latest drivers for my ATI 9800PRO on ati's website and I was really happy with them (CATALYST 6.2) but after some minutes flying my system freezed up after I restarted my pc I proceeded to open FS and after some minutes it freezed up again and then I thought it might have been the drivers I installed, tried the omega 6.2 from guru3d and the samething happened, so I think its not because of the drivers, not idea what could be wrong . hi there,me again. just one simple question: wich is better concerning framerates? the athlon 64 x2 3800+ (dual core) or the single core 64 4000+? i saw a framerete test where the 4000+ was about 10-15 fps better then the x2 3800+... i have not more money for a better cpu so i have to choose between these two. i want to run fs9 with several addons together like traffic, weather, pmdg 747 and sceneries like mega airport frankfurt and want to have a playable framerate of about 20-25 minimum. is this possible with one of these cpu`s together with the specs posted below? i know that fsx will perhaps support dual core, but i want a good system now for fs9 and thinking about an…

I have been reading about this freeware that will, among other tasks, clean up the registry. I just tried it on a non-critical (i.e. non-flight sim computer :-) ) and it seemed to work. However, I had to do 2 intensive defrags (Perfect disk) after to get the hard drive back in shape which I took as a good sign that CCleaner actually got rid of a lot of junk. Has anyone tried it with MSFS? Any issues to be aware of such as not letting it work on the entire registry? Don't want to blow up my sim computer :( Thanks. Mike
