hi all,i did an experiment yesterday and i spanned my VC across my 17"CRT just to see it it works, i also have a Dell 2405 as my main monitor,i was quite pleased with the results and never saw any frame rate problems, anyone know why this was the case?anyways it was very pleasing to see so much more! so now i am wanting to get another dell 24 to increase the immersion factor, i want to know if my GPU will have any problems with another monitor, as i didnt have any problems hooking up my 17"CRTalso any idea why when i am in spanned view why the plane sits in the middle of the monitor in external view?thanks.

I'm installing a new motherboard shortly, and am contemplating using my 2 300GB HDs in a RAID0 configuration. Both are SATA drives, and currently are in non-RAID configuration, acting almost like 2 primary drives. Using some older knowledge from here I currently run WinXP and the swap file on one, and FS9/FSX on the other.While RAID0 appears as though it will increase data transfer rates and provide redundancy, I will be back to having FS9/X on the same HD as the OS. Has anyone done a RAID install, and how did you manage hard drives between the OS and FS, assuming that there is some way to do that when using RAID?And- if I don't use RAID, but do use SATA drives (as I d…

Hi Guys, I have just renewed several components on my machine as you will see from my spec but i'm still only getting 10 - 15 FPS in fsx. I would of thought i would be in the 40's by now. Can someone please advise me what is holding my system back? I was thinking maybe changing the processor to a dual core but would that make much difference. I understand Sandra Lite software can give you a lot of information on your system and do some hardware diagnostics.I downloaded it but cannot get it running. I click the icon ... nothing happens.Something to do with certificates and signatures (from Microsoft) not being correct. I viewed the properties of the sandra.exe file, properties, signature, viewed the certificate, clicked install the certificate, imported it successfully. I just changed my graphics card, and have decided to have a change, and went for a Nvidia 7800 GS with 512 on board RAM, I run this PC with 3 Gigs of Corsair Extreme RAM, with an Intel P4 3.40 CPU, both the graphics and CPU are water cooled by the way. I've just received FSX Deluxe Edition. I cannot get the game to install. Disk 1 proceeds without error, then it asks for Disk 2. I insert the DVD #2 into the same drive. I see a black window open up with the title of "dvdcheck.exe", and after a couple of seconds it closes. After about 20-30 more seconds I'm prompted to "Please insert the disk: FSX Disk 2" again, with OK and Cancel options.
