I have a Fujitsu Siemens Amilo notebook, which yesterday afternoon, decided not to boot Windows XP home SP2 from it's hard drive. Windows boots up fine until I get to the point where the blue 'Welcome' screen is about to load. At this point the white arrow puts itself on the screen, but the background remains black. The Welcome/User account login screen will not load. It's no better in safe mode either. I've tried repairing the O/S but I am asked for an Administrator password. I have never set a password, and there is only one account, so I did not proceed to repair windows from CD. Should I try again? What about password? What is the best way to manage this Memory. So far I have seen zero improvement in load times or overall performance in any programs. Well, I swapped out my ATI card for my older Geforce 6800GT to see of my older card would get rid of the micro stutters but the stutters are still there. I am flying to ZBAA today with my Nvidia Driver latest. However the sky is splitted into two as followI have Extended terrain texture on, 60nm visibility and using ASV with vis 59nm maximum. I heard about that Nvidia driver later than 77.77 will cause the problem, is it the case? If not, which driver would cause the problem??

Hi, yesterday I experienced distorted graphics, terrible mess of coloured lines etc. I realised too late that the door on the cupboard where my PC lives had been shut and I assume the card overheated.After turning off and allowing to cool I rebooted and found that I was unable to get any AA. My card is a 512mb Nvidia 7950 using 169.21 drivers and Nhancer.Before this there was no problem with AA in FS9 but you can imagine it looks horrible now.If I turn on in game AA and tick enhance in game AA in Nhancer I do get some AA but no where near what I could get before yesterdays heat up.So the question, do you think the heat up has caused this problem and am I looking at buying…

Hello,Now that I have my 8800GT Superclocked and Samsung 245B, I come into a next problem: if I want to play games, they are little slow in 1920x1200. Though I can scale the resolution, and stretch it, it doesn't look as near as good as at 1920x1200.So, would it be of high benefit to get 2nd same card, and run it in the SLI mode, could I then play the games in 1920x1200 with the same speed as for example previously in 1280x1024 on my old CRT...?Help is appreciated!

First, the scenario.New PC with Vista Home Premium. Could not get FS9 to run. Continually showed "Out of Memory" error message. PC has 4 GB's of RAM and a 512 GB Nvidia 8500GT card. OEM Creative SB X-Fi Extreme Audio sound card. After the 5th re-format/install, I gave up on Vista and installed XP PRO SP2 with all the appropriate drivers for the hardware. FS9 ran like a champ. I am running fs9.1 on a P4 DC 2.8 w/ ATI X1550 256 mb PCI video card (not PCIe). Win XP Home SP2. While currently using 7.6 drivers, I have tried almost all between 7.2 and 7.12 using Tray Tools in lieu of CCC.My issue is that my PC is seeing reflective surfaces as transparencies.Meaning that if I check the reflection box on the hardware tab in options>settings>display, my planes become semi-transparent. I'm sure many of you are unaware this thing exists, or imo, what a great value it is for the price. Basicaly, it's a low frequency vibration transducer that clamps to the post of your desk chair. I am trying to get a sense of what similar CPUs might run at idle using a good water cooling system. I am using air cooled with a thru the wall small air conditioner and my CPU runs at 34C at idle, at 54C at full FS9 load. I am trying to get a sense of how this will do with a Q6600 or God forbid if I have no impulse control, a QX9650.Noel
