I am trying to find out what graphics setting I could set it at because I set everything at max and on major airports I get 5 FPS at best. Can anyone help please? I have read some people modifying their .cfg file. Where can I find this info?Thank you in advance!

Hi, and happy new year everyone.I have not long woken a new system up- GA-X38T-DQ6 motherboard, Q6600 CPU, 2GB of DDR3 RAM. I am using an existing case, PSU and video card (for now). When I loaded video drivers (169.21), and re-booted, I got a message that I have never seen befoe, from the "NVidia sentinel":"The NVIDIA System Sentinel is reporting that the Nvidia powered grahics card is not receiving sufficient power. To protect your hardware from potential damage or causing a potential system lockup, the graphics processor has lowered its performance to a level that allows continued safe operations. "My PSU is 650W, and always (at least appeared) to operate OK with my p…

I own a Compaq Presario 6000NX. It has an Intel Celeron CPU with a 2.7 Gig processor. The card (chip?) is an Intel 82845G/GL/GE/PE/GV Graphics Controller.I've never upgraded anything on this computer other than putting 1 Gig of memory in it from the original 256 Mb of RAM. I'm going to put in a bigger hard drive in a month or two along with a decent graphics card.Any suggestions? Looking to spend a couple hundred bucks on the card.

Hello everyone.I am at my wits end trying to calibrate the throttle quadrant through FSUIPC.I have the single throttle, prop and mixture quadrant.I downloaded John Cooks guide, and have had no problem with calibrating elevators, ailerons, assigning buttons etc.But the throttle quadrant ?, boy oh boy!!!I can get the jets sorted without too much trouble, because there's no condition levers involved.Yet when i try to calibrate an aircraft with condition levers, such as Flight One's Conquest, all #### breaks loose. One minute i get the throttles working, but condition levers wont. Then if i happen to fluke both working, then just one condition lever will work and the other wont…

Got a new Gateway 3652E puter with a Quad Core Q6600 CPU that I am trying to overclock.Problem is that after I hit F2 to get into the BIOS, I can navigate to the Advanced Chipset menu but then I can't seem to go any further.Do I need a magic decoder ring or is there a special keystroke I can use to do the overclock thing? Thanks for any help.Jim

My current gateway dinosaur uses rdram. My dad has two gigs of ddr in an old computer. How would I know if my motherboard can accept rdram? My computer is going on 6 years old. It's P4 2.4ghz with 512mb of ram. I do know that the ram can hold 2gb of ram in pairings of 512. I'm going to be building a new computer over the next couple months but I want to add more ram while I get the last legs of out this one. Hope this makes sense. Thanks in advance.Cheers,Tim

Hello all,Hope I've directed this to the correct forum.I currently have FS9 setup on a HP quad-core (6600) system with a Geforce 8400GS card and 2 gig of ram. I run at the native resolution (Acer 24") at 1920x1200 with most all sliders to the right. When using LDS in VC mode, I can sustain around 17FPS although it drops at times around 8-12 with default real world weather. I've tried assigning different tasks to different cores using Task Assignment Manager from "Tom's Hardware Guide" with minimal improvements.Question:Since I have a very large HD, 600GB, would I benefit better from installing XP on a second partition and use FS9 with the XP OS and my regular stuff on the…

Im currently in a love hate relationship for the past year with FSX-stutters,low frame rates CTDs even with my new Quad core Vista system (couldnt buy one with xp on it).Out of frustration I have started using FS9 again. All sliders maxed, smooth frames.Sure, there are some things it doesnt have that FSX has,but the end result of a package has to be usability and enjoyability.I think FS9 beats FSx here.Until or unless something changes somewhere down the line.Just my opinionJK

Hi all,I have a small problem and I believe its with anti-aliasing. First to make my problem claer to you I have two screenshots. This is how textures (look at the cross on the tail) look like when viewing the aircraft in horizontal position...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182596.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182597.jpgAnd this is how textures look like (again, take a look at the cross) when I view the aircraft in other than horizontal positions...http://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182600.jpghttp://forums.avsim.net/user_files/182599.jpgI never had these kind of problems before in fs9. They just popped up out of nowhere. I tried searching different forums for a…

I am see a rendering issue with my new card as if one was to look at a terminal from inside say a PMDG cockpit the AI will be grey for a split second b4 filling in the livery. If I sit there for a bit and look again the same thing will occur.I am using the 169.04 did use the .02 andd .09 but found this one to be the most stable.Running FS9 Sp1 and XP SP2 no N-HANCER.Had a 7900KO b4 this and was great.8800GT is great but I cannot figure out how to optimize the GPU RAM so it keeps image longer so it does not need to re-render after as a Fn of time.AF :16XGamma Correction:offAA Mode:is override appAA @ 8XAA Transparency:SupersamplingConformant Texture Clamp:Use HardwareError …

Well, my signature says the specs. Will I be able to turn up the settings in FSX to about 85% or more, excluding traffic (50%)? I plan to:1)Defrag the drive;2)Install FSX;3)Defrag4)Install SP1;5)Defrag.I'm holding off on SP2, I've heard some very negative things about it. Also, how would I enable the 3G switch on Vista (forgive me if this has already been discussed)?
