Hi all!I am new of the forum. :)I am going to buy an iMac 24'' and going to install bootcamp to play Microsoft Combat Flight Simulators under Windows.Somebody told me that the CFS's do not support Core 2 Duo processors, thus one core must be disabled, causing the need to limit the resolution...Is that correct??? Or is it a problem of the Mac alone?Another question: do somebody know if there is any good combat flight simulator for mac?Thanks in advance and the best regardsHerger

Hello everyone I am dave and I am about to install windows on my computer in a couple of days(still have to put the parts together tough)so i can install either OS. no problems; my decision will be based on which one will give me better frames per second. my choices are vista ultimate 32bit or vista ultimate 64bit Im not considering any version of xp due to that I'll like to flight fsx with DX10.plus I actually dont mind vista(personal preference)If it matters my hardware specs are: Quad series,gtx200 series,p45 mobo series,2gb ddr2 800mhz,sata hhd 500gb and I'll use a 1920x1200 resolution on my screen.so if anyone has some light as to what should be better like a review …

Hi AllI am "downsizing" my set up and have removed my TH2Go box and reverted to using one monitor (Acer 22" Wide).Have been running in "windowed mode" whilst using TH2Go, but now I cannot get the display to change to full screen after pressing Alt and Enter. The curor just shimmers and the screen freezes. Graphics card is nvidia 9600GT.Is there a setting I need to change. I have nvidia control panel set to "one display" resolution at 1024 *762.Thanks for any help.Bill

I just had to uninstall my 8800 GT since it kept turning off during the game. I then reinstalled my original 8600 GT and lost my game settings in the Nvidia control panel. Can someone give me the recommended settings for anti-aliasing, etc.?

HiAnyone here ever tried to take a CH Throttle Quadrant apart. Reason is one of the throttle levers is getting loose (sorry for my bad language) what I mean is there is much more play in one lever compared to the other one.I am just afraid that 25 screws and springs will pup out of the thing when I am taking the bottom and top apart.Do I take the chance?RegardsHenrikGreenland

Finally, after months of trying to get FSX to re-load, I came across this link http://www.smartcomputing.com/editorial/ar...s09%2F55s09.aspwhich tells how to load certain Microsoft/ non Microsoft programs when you constantly get the Error 1335 code.After loading the entire two DVD disk files to the hard drive in the computer, I was able to re-install FSX. I also had to run the Windows Install Cleanup program too to get rid of the partial program files that the Windows XP Pro uninstall would not remove.I had been gone from FSX for so long I forgot how to switch between the 2D and 3D panels and it took me the better part of the night to figure that out all over again. Maybe it's nothing or just my computer but after loading the newest WHQL Nvidia driver 178.13 I thought all was well.On my 3rd or 4th FSX play most of my user assigned (Saitek X52) FSX joystick controls including the normal "hat" switch were messed up. I reconfigured the controls thinking it was just a fluke but on my reloading of FSX the same thing happened.My rig has been running faultless for over a year and a half. The only new thing added recently were the new drivers. They cut my frame rates up to 40%. They caused my computer to freeze and require rebooting 5 min. into my flights, on the ground even. Horrible. I went back to the 175.19s. I've just built my latest pc. For the life of me I can't fix the sound clipping issue which causes the whole cpu to freeze up. I've updated every driver, bios, etc..I've searched the internet high and low and still can't find anything of real value to help fix this issue. I have been thinking of replacing my 2 x 1gig Corsair XMS2 DDR memory sticks with 2 X 2gig sticks. Is there a definite favorite for overclockability AND MOST IMPORTANTLY STABILITY? This is the first time I try the setup:two monitors on ATI 9550 AGP and two on ATI 9250 PCI. FSX only sees the 9550 with one monitor, and one unlabeled video card monitor.Three monitors (one on AG, 2 on PC) has worked fine until now.I even erased fsx.cfg and same thing.Any fixes for this?

Hi there,I hope to find help with a install problem of upgrading to the newest 15.23 nforce drivers. Before install I set a restore point.When installing I followed the prompt that informed me that current drivers (9.53) will be uninstalled followed by a reboot. The system then rebooted and all I get is a black screen and I hear a system prompt sound.I tried safe mode and the only difference with that is, I actually get to see the prompt that asks me to insert a disk to what I believe the 15.23 drivers are. Hi all :-)I have a small problem. I have a ATI Radeon X1900XTX with the newest driver Cat 8.9. But im not able to get Vsync in FSX SP2 to work. It dosn't matter what i set in the catalyst control panel. Have someone an idea what i can do? Is there a tool like nhancer for ATI cards, where i can force Vsync? Or is there a FSX.CFG tweak?
