The 970 doesn't have VGA support so I've got an DVI to VGA adapter for one monitor and HDMI cable for my main monitor. It's been great so far. Tonight I was using Microsoft Flight Sim X and I got a white screen. The smaller #2 monitor was still showing the web pages I had up, after a few mins it went to a black screen. This is a bit of a follow up from a previous question and talking to a friend and Appliance on here, I'm going to go smaller on my ssd and have pretty much only core stuff on the ssd ie OS ,virus stuff and possibly my ai aircraft This means that i'm going to put my flightsims on the hybrid drive, 2tb seagate 7200rpm So my thoughts on this maybe along the lines of having 3 or 4 partitions having one for fsx one for P3d and 1 or 2 for xplane and DCS would this be a good way to go and I can keep everything nice and separate and organised, or would having these partitions make the 8gb ssd part of the hybrid more or less useless any thoughts on this or advice before I p…

Good afternoon! So I'm kind of in between projects right now so I thought it'd be an ideal time to perhaps try to squeeze some extra performance out of my processor by overclocking it. Before I go through the steps and tinkering with my setup, I wanted to see if anyone could gauge how much more performance (FPS with the same settings etc.) I'd be getting. Currently I fly the PMDG 777, with payware scenery, customized WOAI traffic on 100%, frames locked at 20, and I see about 20 while I'm cruising and around 10 on the ground (when the AI slows it down considerably). Hello, Before buying a new computer for FSX, I wanted to ask if the i5-2500k and the Gtx 560 are good enough to get approximately 20 frames/second in the pmdg 777 on an addon airport like Aerosoft EDDB or any other airport in UK2000. I know tweaks are necessarily and I will surely overclock my cpu to at least 4.2 ghz. Every comment is appreciated !

Hey everyone! I have read many forum posts including on here, of how to move my FSX folder and P3D...from my 1TB HDD to my new 512GB SSD drive. I hear MKLINK is the best method, but which. This forum has posted to use /J and others /D. Not sure if this is even the best method. Is there any such thing? Flying P3D in Orbx NCA with A2A Cherokee and my CH Products throttle stops working. I unplug and replug. It works again, then it stops working again. Is it something with my PC where those ports just quit for some reason?

I decided it's time to build a new computer.. I'll use it mostly for FSX/P3D. My budget is around $1400 (1250€) for the whole build.. without monitor and OS which I already have. I mainly need a recommendation for CPU and graphics card but some tips for RAM, CPU cooler and other components would be also nice. I'd like to run FSX/P3D a smooth as it gets (no kidding ) for that amount of money, with capability to OC it to around 4.5GHz or more if it's possible. Any advice would be much appreciated!

Hey guys - my son was playing around behind my pc earlier today (he's 2, wears fleece PJ's) and my wife told me it won't turn on now, it just power cycled and the fan turns on then off, it's like a repeating cycle. I havent been home yet - maybe resetting CMOS would help? Any ideas?

Hello all, Ive had flightsim on my desktop pc for long enough now, and its starting to really annoy me with the lag. I looked around and did some tests, turns out its my graphics thats letting me down, and ive looked around and found a good one, its called the "asus gtx 750ti 2gb edition" on amazon, however im 13, and i dont get pocket money, nor is there a way i can :( my family say they think my fsx wont help me, so they wont buy it for me. I dont know what to do anymore. Its a shock i have the pc i have at the minute, but thats all down to my mate because he didnt need it anymore. Please help me!!! I really want to fly properly!!!!!! I messed up Windows when I used Driver Sweeper in preperation for installing latest nVidia drivers for GTX550TI 1gb. I clicked through the options withiut really noticing that it was set to remove "Intel drivers". (old version). I happened to see odd files being cleaned and quickly stopped it but the damage was done. Plain VGA still worked so I believed that serious items had been erased, at least in the area of video support. With VGA working I attempted to install the latest video drivers, and very old drivers but they failed to install. I ran a different driver sweeper - Display Driver Uninstaller from Guru3D. No help.
