Hello allGot Mike Stones C130J yesterday, I like his work, nice planes, easy on the FPS and some very neat 2d panels.The problem: no gauges appear on the panel. The panel bitmap comes up fine. To test things I used FS Panel Studio to insert a default 737-400 gauge onto the panel - and it appeared when I reloaded the sim.It seems FS9 is not loading Mike Stones gauges but loads others :(Im utterly utterly lost on this one. I first ran the installer into FS9 and when the problem was still there I uninstalled the C130J , installed into a temp location and thne used Windows Explorer to put the files into FS9/Aircraft.Did the usual drill..gauges into fs9/Gauges etc....no joy :(…

Does anyone know where I can find the detailed maps of the US for FS Moving Map these? I was flying from South Jersey Regional (KVAY) to State College, PA last night and Moving Map suddenly switched from the detailed map view to the less detailed, geographic regional map. All I could think of was that maybe I missed installing some maps somewhere when I downloaded everything last month.I spent about 45 minutes last night Googling the Internet and searching the files section here and simply couldn't find from where I originally downloaded everything. Seems like every time I make a landing approach in FS9 using the "major thunderstorm" weather theme, the approach goes well, I establish a nice steady descent rate, but during the final flare just 50-100 feet AGL, there is always an updraft, gust, or exaggerated ground effect that carries me way down the runway. This is using the default 737. It doesn't feel natural, it feels like FS9 is programmed to "mess with" you at the last moment to make the landing more difficult. I don't even have a quesion, it just seems annoying.

A Seminole. It's one of the most popular twin training aircraft out, and no one has done one. Or I should say, I haven't seen one.I remember some unknown developer was going to do one, but that was a few years ago, and they dropped off the map.What we need, is one done to Dreamfleet quality, since they seem to be the Piper guru's anymore. I have the freeware Salzburg scenery made by Johannes Kimla. It is a good scenery, but it looks like I am missing textures for the taxiways. For those that have the scenery, is that how the taxiways supposed to look? Or am I indeed missing some textures or something?(lows_2006_v1_0.zip, lows06pg.zip, and lows_2006_xmas_special.zip are the file names)

On someof my aircraft, the tail logo won't light up unless I turn on the landing lights. On others, it lights up when I turn on the NAV lights and it gets dark enough. I thought tail logos were lit whenever the NAVS were on. How do I correct?Thanks,

Hi all,I've got a Ryanair route from EGGP (liverpool) to LERS (reus) whichbasically goes NANTI L10 HON UN859 ROCAN UN859 PUMAL B31 BERGA.UN859 is a long stretch which undergoes several changes in direction at various VORs and intersections. If I put the above route 'as is' into my PIC737 FMS, all these waypoints are automatically 'filled in' as I would expect.Is there any way of putting the simplified version above into the FS9 flight planner so that I get the full route (so RC4 knows where I'm going!). If I chose the endpoints and 'high alt airways' I get a route based on airways but they're the wrong ones. If I try to move the red wire to the right ones, it will only co…

I had two differant sets of AI, My Traffic 2006 and another "military AI" installed on my FS2004. I saw an ad at SimMarket for ANOTHER, differant set of AI named, "Traffic PlusPak - Military Aircraft 2" These new AI have a "system" to make any of them FLYABLE aircraft, which I have no entension of using this feature as it loads a LOT of aircrat into my FS2004 "AIRCRAFT" folder.My problem is when I see some AI militay acft now, I don't know if it is from the OLD AI program or the NEW program that I just installed. Is there a file or folder that contain ALL of the current aircraft that are used as AI? Or is there a list somewhere that list them. I cannt find a folder of wh…

I short while ago i thought finally after years, and I eman years of tweaking FS9 I finally had it where i wanted it. Could this be the case with FS9 sadly no.What I can't work out is why I am having random .dll CTDS if it was just one I could deal with it but erratic unpredicatble ones I can't deal with. Today I was practicing bad weather flying in the standard Piper and Cessna (think crosswind landings), and no matter how much rudder I applied, I could not get enough rudder authority to compensate for the heavy winds. When I looked at my plane from external view, I noticed that when on the ground, the rudder was moving normally (full range of motion), but in flight the rudder barely moved at all in response to my inputs. (Keyboard or twist axis joystick.) Adjusting rudder sensitivity and dead zone had no effect.But, if I turn the "autorudder" feature off, then I get full rudder control back. But since I don't have rudder pedals I typically fly with autorudder on. I …

After purchasing the SkySim MD11 I've been wondering and looking for testimonials from real world pilots about what it must be like. I own the PMDG 744 PAX/Cargo and from what I can tell one can at least can go somewhere to stretch out for a nap until their shift. Same thing with the 777 but the DC10/MD11 it seems to be another story (especially for the cargo boys). The cockpits aren't that big and I would imagine a flight from say KMEM to London's Heathrow is all one crew. Unlike a road trip, one only has the endless ocean to look at from 36,000ft for hours on end... Most of us who've flown long haul flights had the comfort of an in flight movie, music, or something…

I am prompted to bring this up after a poster placed a post saying that he had a free copy of FSx - but only an older P4 2400 to run it on.Without getting into yet another discussion about comparisons between FS9 & FSx, I believe there is a larger consideration in all this. I remember years ago - when we ran 486's and then Pentium 2's and 3's -- it was pretty well automatic that we all eventually upgraded because these old machine were slow in everything that they did and when the opportunity came along to economically upgrade our hardware, we did so. I was wondering - since I received my free copy of FSX after the AVSIM convention, I have only played around with FSX only twice. Because of my older Pentium IV 2.4 GHZ machine, naturally it runs really slow. My FS 9 runs really nicely, with nice frame rates, etc, plus I have all my beautiful addons working on FS 9. Therefore - 2 Questions:- How many of you have had a similar experience as me - tried FS X, and virtually put it back in the box indefinitely, saying, "I'll just stick with FS9 since it works nicely?"
