Hello,I have this problem where my gauges in the VC make the FPS drop dramatically. All other views max out (including 2D) the FPS. Even if I only have one gauge in the VC, it still slows it down to the same FPS if I had 50 gauges. My computer specs are as follows:ASUS Mobo Intel Prescott 3.0 HT CPU1024 mb RAM, PC3200EVGA 7600 GS 256 MB / AGP 8x.80 gig hard drive with FS on it's own partition.====Anyone know of a fix that would correct this?

Hello guys,Today I have upgraded to Windows Vista, installed FS X & FS 9 only to find out that Vista does not support my joystick (the latest SideWinder model from Microsoft!). It does not find a driver on my system nor on Windows Online. Can somebody please tell me how you can use this joystick under Vista?Thanks a bunch!Christopher

Someone please help,I have been using FS9.1 on my Windows XP SP2 machine for over two years and have never had a problem.Recently I used ZD Soft Screen Recorder to attempt to capture in flight video and make movies, but it didn't work due to some sound incompatibility...However, today when I tried to start FS9.1 it gave a popup message about memory not being enough, and said from now on FS9.1 will start in SOFTWARE MODE ONLY. I clicked OKAY, and then inside the game I could never get it to go to fullscreen anymore! I tried ALT +ENTER and all but no use at all!This is weird because this only recently happened! Anybody out there using both FSGenesis and GE Pro II together? If so, how are the framerates and most of all would you recommend merging them together.ThanksTom

Hello. I was hoping someone could answer this question.I downloaded FS9 Configurator to adjust the AI taxi speed in FS9. I had used another utility quite some time ago to do this but I have moved to a different machine and although all files were copied over I'm not sure sure that this particular change carried over.Anyway, FS9 Configurator says it modifies a file called ai_plyr.dll to do this but I don't see this file anywhere on my machine. Can anyone tell me where it's located? I would like to back it up before I start changing things with it. Also, back in FS2002 there was talk about another file controlling the AI taxi speed. Something like ai_sim.dll or someth…

I'm sure this question has been asked quite a bit, but anyone have tips on merging the overland 320 with pss panel? I'm sure i have to make some changes to the aircraft.cfg file, unless one of you has had success just aliasing the panel over. If i do have to edit the .cfg file does anyone know which parts to edit i.e. flaps, weight and balance etc.?Thanks!

In the display preferences of FSIM 2004, I do not see a native (16:10 ratio) resolution available. I was wonder if and how, I can get FSIM 2004 to show properly on a widescreen monitor. It's a pity that I have a 24" widescreen display, but my FSIM 2004 displays in the traditional 4:3 ratio which is simply stretched horizontally.If anyone has any tips on how I can achieve this, please let me know. Hallo everyone :)Im making my own panels and need to keep loading up the sim to see what it looks like in FS9.However I have a massive Add On Scenery folder and a massive Aircraft Folder as well. I want create two alternate folders that will enable quick load-ups of the sim for the purpose of panel/sound editing & designing.The Aircraft folder was easy to sort out, just renamed the primary folder and created a new one with 2 planes in it (the default Cessna and the one whose panel Im tweaking).Please could you help with creating an ultra-slim scenery.cfg? Id like it to only load US scenery & airports. I tried editing it by leaving just these entries behind in the …

I have d/l'ed this updated scenery, along with a few others. Everything seems to work ok, except for the terminal buildings at KSYR.I believe I have all the EZ Scenery & RWY12 libraries installed. Can anyone let me know what scenery library is being used for the KSYR terminals?Thanks!Rick

** Problem solved **I was having issues with my mixture 1 axis on my CH throttle quadrant. I found out that FS9 for some reason reset the sensitivity to 0 for this axis. Putting it back to max solved the issue.

i seem to be having a problem with my msfs. i have just built a new system. i partitiond 50 gigs on my harddrive just for flight simulator. now i just installed the flight sim and i started it up everything worked just fine but as soon as i put the settings resolution to my monitors native resolution which is 1280x1024 i loose the picture of the plane that i want to fly on the main screen you can see the photo i attached. picture 1 is at 800x600x32 and picture 2 is at 1280x1024x32 Can some one please help. you can also see the specs on my pc below

I am really confused, and if someone can help, I'd really appreciate it.I'm a fairly experienced repainter, but there is one question I've never been able to get answered. And that is, what controls the night textures? All the repaints I do have _t files and _l files. The _l files are the night lights. But on some planes, the lights come on when the system time changes to dusk, and others they come on only when you active the landing lights. (Which I really hate!)Can someone tell me how to set that, and what program I need (if any) to do it with?ThanksRick Wooton

With Matrox TripleHead2Go zooming @ 0.3 all the lights points become very large with bigh halos ( Runway, VAsi, airplane nav and strobelights...).I have changed the RUNWAY_LIGHTS_******_SCALAR=0.3 in fs9.cfg, this seen to sort out the problem with all the runways lights.But I cannot find a way to do similar thing to the lighs on the airplanes ( the wingtip lights, strobe lights and nav lights) , Also the light points that Ultimate terrain add to the scenery get larger in the same way.Anyway to change the sise of the lights and Halos on the airplane and scenery?thanks for any help.

Is it possible to use a "real" aviation headset with a program like VoiceBuddy? Using .25" to 3.5mm converters so that the headset can plug into the computer's speaker and mic jacks?Just wondered if it was possible to add an extra sence of realism, and to use existing resourses.Thanks!- Jason

THis is something I really cannot explain: my FS works fine as long as I "simulate" darkness - but when switching to daylight, FS crashes! It simply doesn't like sunlight.I've tried this with and without add-on weather, I have removed the latest scenery add-ons that I had added, I've tried it with and without AI traffic... it's the sunlight!!There is a file in the FS9 folder called "suneffect.cfg" - could that be the one causing the problem?What else could the cause be? How can I fix this?THanksChris

Is it just me, or do you get better performance in windowed mode running fs9?Ive found it has no loading time now to access the top menu bar and can flick between applications, without causing any blurries or stutters flying at fl350 with the lds 767! (mind you this is on dual core)But when in normal full screen mode it takes an age to access the top menu bar!Just me or?IAn
