Thanks to the help I've received here I can now set up a flight using the flight planner/GPS.However, this brings me to another query:Say I'm setting up a route from EGBB to EGLL. Ok, I set for either VFR or IFR and select VOR to VOR.I then go into the flight planner to check the route. At EGLL I want to use either RW09L or RW09R so ideally I want to be approaching (I assume) from around 20 or so miles from the west. The FP shows the final leg from a VOR straight to the airport, which is a 90 degree angle from the path of the runway. Please can someone explain what I'm supposed to do in this situation? Do I (in the FP) select another VOR waypoint due east of EGLL and then…

There's a couple of AI aircraft that I would like to download that require this base model. I find every model BUT this one. I can also find all 3 engine formats for the A330-300 but not the 200. I have the PW and the RR but nowhere can I find the GE. If it's out there could someone direct me? The FSP model zip file does not contain this one.Thanks

Hope you can help?I'm very slowly getting to grips with the navigation aspect of FS9 but still struggling with certain points.Re: GPS (500). Is it possible to create more than one waypoint in the GPS? Say I'm flying from EGLL to EGBB. OK, after choosing my aircraft and sat at the parking area I punch in EGBB into the direct-to function, which gives me a course. I want to practise flying to EGBB via VOR's, but not sure how to set this up. I can only seem to put one course in at a time. Or should I be doing this in the pre-flight utility in FS9. OK, if I select VFR and VOR to VOR the program generates a VOR for me to fly to. Is there a way I can add in other VOR's to help w…

Hi:I've looked everywhere about this.I save the default flight for "cold and dark", lately when I boot fs9 it loads my default flight with textures and everything and starts there instead of my menu. How can I get it back to just loading the menu and still keep my default flight "cold And dark"? Thanks for any help.Tom

To anyone that can help:I had a misadventure with Partition Magic and my computer yesterday....I ended up with it corrupting my entire FS9 partition. I have spent almost 20 hours trying to reinstall 3 years worth of FS9, payware and freeware planes and scenery. EVERYTHING had been running smoothly (minimal stutters and minimal blurring) before this happened. I am now about 90% back to where I was before....I only need to install about 5 of my payware planes. I've been tweaking settings (in the FS9.cfg and within the sim) then running FS9 after adding each new software. Having recently purchased yet another great cloud9 scenery - ENBR Flesland (for FS9) I was disappointed to see yet more of MSofts tabletop lakes. I use FSGlobal mesh.I deactivated the cloud9 scenery to make sure and they're still there. When someone has the time would they have a quick look and see if their addon or default mes shows the same problem?Thanks

Hello:I am a newbie to the world of adding objects to FS9 via the RWY12 Object Placer program. So far I have successfully placed several objects from the library files. I am looking for two objects that I have not found in the RWY12 libraries.Does anyone know where I can obtain a KC-135 Stratotanker? I am trying to populate KLCK, home of the 121st Air Refueling Wing in Lockborne, Ohio. I am also looking for a variety of tractor trailer rigs.Thanks and Best regards.

I've been tryingto assign one of the CHTQ levers to the spoilers on the PMDG 737 seriswithout success. I can get the lever to cause them to operate, but I can't seem to get the lever to just arm the spoilers. When I do get the spoiler lever to the arm position, the spoilers are deployed to a certain degree.Has anyone one been able to accomplish this? I'm using a registered ver. of FSUIPC with joysticks disabled in FS9 and attempting to program the yoke, TQ and pedals through FSUIPC. The only stickler is being able to arm the spoilers with the TQ without spoiler movement.Thanks for any help.

I am having some severe trouble with FS9. None of the sliders in my settings menus work. Also, in 'display options' there are no tabs for 'aircraft' 'weather' 'hardware'. I have all my loved add ons backed up to DVDs so I am not afraid to uninstall. However, even after what I thought was a complete uninstall, i.e. removed app. data from user settings and then used the uninstaller on the disk and then double checking, the problem persists after I reinstall. Has anybody seen this and what am I missing in my uninstall?Zenbyte

Hey all, Is there any way to add RNAV points to the stock MSFS flight planner. It easy to fly SIDs using (non-RNAV) charts and just plotting the points in the flight planner but now that many airports are using RNAV departures/arrivals I cant find any of the fixes on the planner. So is there any way to add the points to the flight planner and have them show up on the map so I can drag the line (route) over it and have it installed into the flight plan? So basically what I'm looking for is a way to edit the database of the planner, and have the new points show up on the planning chart.Thanks,Marc

If you own the Feel There ERJ-145 and then bought the Legacy, do you find that it was worth the money? I own the ERJ and it's one of my favorite aircraft to fly. However, I'm also eyeballing the Legacy for FS9 -- the weather radar, the autopilot/speed hold feature, as well as the HUD.On the other hand, much of the front office of the Legacy looks identical to the ERJ as it would in real life, of course. Nonetheless, you can't help but think you're buying the same thing twice. Any thoughts on this welcome.Thanks.Ed Lin, D.O.S.

Suppose I have an output from a real aircraft consisting of a file containing latitude and longitude data, altitude, speeds etc for a flight. Is there some way I can feed this into FS9 and get it effectively make an automatic flight simulating the original real flight?Mike:-)

Are there supposed to be .r8 files in the main fs9 texture folder? I have been getting a ctd everytime i fly over the crg vor in south georgia now and it is getting annoying, can this be it?

Does anybody know what **speed** FS9 assigns to A.I. aircraft when acquiring the localizer and then on down to the numbers?I was maintaining 180 knots on final down to Phoenix's Sky Harbor runway 8 and got run down by an A. I. plane resulting in a mid-air collision. A perfectly great FSPassenger flight from San Francisco was ruined! Normally you maintain 200 knots but I was down to 180 knots for separation as I was number two via the Tower.Is there a variable in the config where you can assign a knot reference for A.I. approaches?!?!? Any help would be appreciated!Mitch R.

Why are my downloaded textures not working . I have downloaded and extracted a few of the various textures for the Airbus and Boeing Aircraft appearing lately for the Overland Aircraft .Installed these textures in the relevant aircraft folders in FS9 .Copied the text from the readme files inserting it in the config files useing the next availabe sequence numbers. But the aircraft don't show up. What mistake am I doing any help appreciated .

After a long hiatus, I installed FS9 and the FS9.1 update. Now I want to spruce things up.I just bought a FSGenesis membership, so my 2004 Mesh DVD will be arriving soon.
