hi there,here goes, a week or so ago I wanted to do a flight in the MAAM Sim DC-3, all nice and well until I selected the DC-3 in the FS Aircraft menu..I immediately got an error message saying maam_C47.gau (or something similar) couldn't be used with FS9. okay I thought, stuff like that can happen, I'll just reinstall the DC-3 some time. but now I'm having the same problem with Paul Golding's Analog MD-80 panel, and the problem remains even after I reinstall the panel and/or replace all the gauge files. is anyone familiar with this?PS, I didn't add any add ons before I tried to fly the DC-3, I did install the CLS DC-10 but that was after the trouble started.thanks in adv…

Now that most of you have had a chance to get to know your Maddog 2006 what do you think of it? Personally I'm in love with it and I'm really happy about the purchase. I have not put it down and it truly is a joy to fly. I would say the only thing I'm not sold on is the sounds based on the fact that you can here the loop and I think it really doesn't quite do the JT engines justice as far as a roar goes. But let me know what you think.

Hi, I just reinstalled PSS 777 on my computer. But I cannot use ATC, when I try to send or recieve i cannot do so. It doesn't work at all. Has this happened to anyone else? I don't know if it is because of the pss 777 or not. I have read a few posts concerning the pss 777 and ATC problems. ThanksShea

About 2 months ago I got a freeware airliner. generally it's very good, but the CG mark on the Fuel and Payload page was sitting on the nose. This kept bothering me. I spent a lot of time with Tom Goodrick and Ron Freimuth ;-) Not literally! Just reading all their posts and tutorials. I also spent time reading over carefully the MS aircraft container SDK. The work paid off: I was able to modify both the cfg file and some tweaks on the air file and not only fixed the CG location, but the plane flies great. I then tackled a payware RJ that I could never hand fly on approach without the AP as it would Dutch Roll like crazy. Fixed it in about 1 1/2 hours time and didn'…

Hey all,While flying over the Ukraine today, I decided to shoot up from Kiev to check out Chernobyl. I was disappointed to find that FS didn't even include a generic power plant there. I wasn't expecting to find a perfectly modeled NPP, or a detailed rendition of Pripyat, mind you. I just think it's odd that Microsoft didn't think it prudent to even give a hint of a powerplant there.I'm thinking that my coordinates might have been off somewhat. Useing the new GB2 scenery from Holger, for some reason the PAJN afcad shows the correct rwys, but when the popup ATC menu only shows take off the the south or north.Is this the correct for PAJN?? Also there's no ATC, is this also correct? I flew ouy of Junau last year and I swore I heard the Alaska airline pilot taking to ATC tower.Bill M

HiCan anyone help, FS9 just freezes up my whole pc after about 6 minutes flying, iam running Vista Ultimate build 600 have 2 x Nvidia GTX7800 cards with latest Nvidia drivers, i am running fs9 in xp compatabilty mode, have tried different aircraft in different parts of world as well.Any pointers greatly appreciated.Thanks Paul

Just starting a thread for people to post thoughts on this latest update. After a couple of short test flights I'm finding improvements but I'm wondering what others think who've spent a little more time with it... :-)It's good to see this product getting the support and updates it needs from the developers.

Hi folksI just bought a notebook, and since i am used to fly with the keypadi bought an external keypad to use with notebook while flying FS9.But i dont know why the key nr "5" is not responding. Icannot assign the key to any function. When you turn on the ground control taxi guide to take you to the runway you get the purple broken line. I would like to change this to a different, brighter color but have not been able to find the bmp file to do this with. I assume it is a bmp file but I may be wrong.Any ideas? This is for FS9.

Hi GuysI've recently installed Level-D's 767-300 a side-effect of which, was to update my (registered) version of FSUIPC from 3.4.0 to 3.7.0.Now ActiveSky is unable to communicate with FS - stating that FS is not connected. If I go back to 3.4.0, then all's fine.I've also tried 3.4.4 and 3.4.8 with no success. It's only 3.4.0 that ActiveSky works with even though, when it loads, it tells me that I need a newer version of FSUIPC!I could go back to 3.4.0 but I'd like to also run AISmooth, and it needs 3.4.8 or later to run. However, when I install 3.4.8 or later, it too is unable to communicate with FS.FSUIPC is still stating that I have a registered copy with any version i…

I've downloaded FS Manager 2.8.5, but when I try to oen it I get an error message telling me I've got a very old version and the program fails to open. I posted this in the Hardware thread but it appears to be more of a 'software' problem.For some strange reason I am unable to assign the mixtures to the levers on my CHTQ. This was not a problem before, since the mixture lever still works on the RealAir Spitfire.Now I am unable to assign mixture to any lever on any aircraft. It shows up fine in the calibration and it shows to be operating correctly. But in the sim there is no response.Also tried FSUIPC and receive the same results. The throttles and the prop levers will work fine as they do in the FS9 assignment page, but not the mixture. The assigment window in FSUIPC shows that the lever responds, but when I go to the c…

At one time in the past, I am reasonably sure that I had an aircraft with a small digital mach gauge in the panel, similar to the CPT.TRIM.DIGITAL gauge. I am afraid I am overlooking its location or have lost it. Does anyone know where such a gauge might be found. (This is an indicating panel gauge, not sound).Thanks:RTH

Hi guys,I remember that there is a way to make ATC call outs more realistic. For example, in the real world ATC would not call out, " Traffic is a McDonald Douglas MD-80 at ten o'clock ", but rather just say, " ... a MD-80 at ten o'clock ".
