Right now the whine is stronger on the left speaker, I guess thats because its from the left-seat point-of-view but I would like it to be even on both speakers.3.) They *do* get even on both speakers but only when I press numpad 4 or 6 (wingviews).4.) Why are the runways aligned exactly to the runway number ie runway 24 heading 240. At Heathrow, the runways are 5 degrees off (so runway 27L is actually heading 275), but the white runway markers are aligned 270. I have found this at all the airports where the runway is not exactly aligned with its corresponding number.

HiThere seems to be a serious problem with my FS9 installation (despite the fact that I only finished reinstalling it all yesterday! :( )Whenever FS9 tries to load the weather (unless I select clear skies) it crashes to the desktop with an error reporting window.Another thing, when I did manage to load a flight, FS9 crashes to straight to the desktop. Could this be caused by duplicate AFCADs, only when I ran the Scan AFCAD, it came up with duplicate AFCADs for every single airport in FS!Any ideas would be appreciated,RegardsCallumps I am using Ground & Flight Environment and My Traffic 2006.

When loading a saved flight, will the weight figures be those from the last flight, or any new figures that may have been entered into the aircraft.cfg?The reason I ask, is that when I complete a flight, I save it. When planning for the next flight, I'll alter the weight in the aircraft.cfg file, and load up the saved flight, assuming that the new weights will be read and updated too.However, the last two flights, I realise that I may be wrong in this case, as the weight figures don't seem to be updating and matching what is set in the aircraft.cfg file.

Hi everyone,Well this month has been pretty crap really. I bought FSX hoping that it would work and surprise surprise it worked the day i got it and then nevermore. So i decided to go back to FS9 and now that isnt working. I have done so much tweaking i dont actually know what else I can try. I wanted to edit the progressive taxi lines - make them a bit lessgarish; I seem to remember that this is possible, but I can't seewhere the bmp file is stored to edit it. Does anyone know the story with the Boeing 747-400(GE) version 3 that FS Painter released back in September 2005?The model was released and a few repaints followed over the next few months but since then - nothing!It's a pity because the model was quite good and at least, if not better than the Aardvark equivalent. I'm surprised none of the talented painters out there have added new repaints.I would be interested to know if anyone has any information on this mystery.

Hi. I recently downloaded some ships, hovercraft and the like from the file library. Mostly for AI, but also some higher spec models: I have some nice FS9 scenery installed at harbours, canals and so on and thought I could sail some of the shorter distances instead of fly.All is great with the boats (I am chugging down the Panama Canal, with scenery from panamacanal.zip installed, as I write this), but when I try hovercraft or hydrofoils, once they get up to speed they suddenly bounce up into the air and continue bouncing, trampoline style, hundreds of feet up and down until I end the flight -er, sail ...I've seen this before with a/c at a number of add-on airports where …

I've heard of problems with most overland models, especially fuel burn and FDE issues. Has anyone come out with some updates? The models look nice, especially the MD-11... but I enjoy realism and a good virtual cockpit.

Anyone know what variable I have to edit in the aircraft.cfg of the plane in order to make it more fuel efficient? So it uses less fuel per hour than it does now but keeping the power the same is well?I recently make the switch from PSS to feelthere due to the horrible PSS exterior model but the fuel efficiency in the feelthere is much lower so I am loosing too much fuel already!

What happened to Commercial Level Simulations? Before they came out with a solid "light" aircraft. The Airbus series for example... but is it just me or are they now trying to pump out aircrafts as fast as possible with no regard for mistakes? Don't get me wrong. there are many positives of the DC-10 package. But looking at the model, the nose is literally missing polygons, it gets up to speed like a rocket ship but has what appears to be FDE issues when trying to get in the air... and this is after SP1. The Virtual cockpit and model (minus the nose) look great. They have done a great job with detail with many things, expanding on the Airbus packages... but why the steps …

Hi,I have lately memory overflows. Most probably due some land class file which is not on its right place (a scenery with only a scenery map and without a texture map) But how can one detect a land class file ? I usually like to fly short hops in FS (up to 45-75 minutes, I usually don't have more time) so I limit my flights to short ones, but sometimes I fell bored and try a longer one... using time compression. I did some time ago a "world tour" with Posky's 767-200 and Lonny Payne's panel, and I didn't have any problem flying at 16x.However, if I try a payware aircraft like the PMDG 737, the PSS A340 or the Level-D 767 (or use iFly's 744), I'll get some mild oscillations in altitude at 8x, and very violent oscillations at 16x (except Level-D: The aircraft's autopilot doesn't support time compression that high), no matter if the skies are clear or if I use real weather. Just been enjoying myself with some of the FS9 airliner adventures. I can get a progressive taxi line for takeoff taxi, but none after landing, even though ATC ground has nominated the gate I should taxi to.Is this correct?--Bryn

Guys,Is it possible to back-up my entire FS9 folder and simply 'drop' it into the MS Games folder if for some reason I later was in a position wher i had to reinstall everything ?Would this not cause registry conflicts ? An if so, what else do I need to backup apart from the FS9.cfg ?ThanksEric

Hi People,I am flying since many years and enjoying it. SInce yesterday i have a very weird problem. I was flying from LFPG to LIPZ using UL 613 that passes west of LSZH. Short after LSZH, my FS quits. I tried it 3 times and also flying from LIPZ to LFPG. at the same location the same problem.Please advisethanks Marek from LOWW
