Hi all,I have installed the KFLL airport from here at AVSIM (tried both v1.2 and 1.1)and I see a weird massive object on the northside parallel to RWY29. This thing is huge and has eight wheels (it looks like a gigantic grey bus). Please could anyone try similar scenery and tell me if they see this huge object, and if so, tell me how to remove it? (I can't find textures for it in the texture folder, so I'm guessing this is a library object which has been manipulated). Please tell me I'm not crazy and that this someone's idea of a joke.Cheers,Tosh:-eek

Watch the lights. Is there anyway someone could create pulse lights for FS? Watch the landing lights on approach. I think it would be awsome to somehow implement something like this into FS.

Just saw the http://www.projectai.com is back online in a new look. I am a AI freak so I am looking forward to see their new packages. I also read there that they are planning an FSX installer but since I do not use FSX quite yet, I will wait for that.Tony

Please watch it till the plane lands (its only 1:19sec long): Is it possible to have the wingtip strobe light up the ground like that? Do any tweaks exist to make it so? Thx :)

I find that sometimes, for now reason I can explain when I try to go to Slew mode the aircraft is whisked off uncontrollably in a randon direction at great speed, making slew mode unusable, and consequently FS Cargo.It seems to have no bearing on which a/c for which location. It's very annoying. I'm sure someone else will have experienced this. Any suggestions for fixing? Thanks.

Hi all, I know that internet explorer 7.0 has been out for some time now, but I remember when it was in beta that there were some issues with FS9. Has then been resolved? I want to install IE 7 and not have it jack up my sim.Thanks,Bill

Anyone else seen this: over the last few weeks my FS performance has degraded significantly. I've always had reasonable FPS for my system, but they now consistently degraded down into the 10 fps range and even sometimes turns into a slide show. I can still get reasonable rates with a very unsophisticated plane, clear weather and no AI, but I used to be able to do the same with a glass cockpit, heavy overcast and 100% AI. I've checked all the usual places: spyware, virus, I defrag regularly, shutdown services, etc. Basically nothing has changed in the FS configuration or my system. Does the code in FS "wear out"? Meaning that with continuing access and also defraging,…

I just purchased the overland boeing package. At some point in the installation, it ask me for "Organization" and "Serial Number". What is this, this isn't the order # or ID number. I can't get past this portion of the install. Could someone help me out?

Hello all,First let me start by saying that I most likely did something really dumb so here goes. Fs9 has been crashing on me lately so I thought I would run the discs to repair any corrupted files. Well for some unknown reason my PC refuses to read disc 4 of the setup, I must have tried at least 30 times to get it to read. Well, had to abort the process so of course the install failed which lead to deletion of the FS9.EXE since the setup menu removed the incomplete installation and now I can not even start the SIM.Would really appreciate any insight on this.Thanks in advance:Zsolt

Simply question here.In my FS9 folder in Doc and settings this is where FS.cfg lives I have 3 folders here too.Facilities,scenery cache and my current aircraft folder with all my planes in it.Is that right????I have been getting ATC.DLL and unknown.dll crashes now and hunting around i found this "Problem" maybe.Thanks in advance

Does anyone know of a 757 winglet model for AI aircraft (preferably in Continental livery?)It would seem that COA has finished converting its entire 757-200 fleet to winglets (very cool) and I'd like my highly customized Ultimate Traffic to follow suit.

I'm considering getting Wideview and or WideFs. I have an older computer I networked to my main. Any thoughts on what are the best uses of these two programs to get the most out of FS9?I want to get a flight planner (FSBuild, FSnav etc), and maybe Active sky etc..What else would be benificial?Also any good links on how to set this up would be great.Thanks

Hi I hope someone can help. Im using VOXATC and in doing so I have turned off FS9 ATC. With that I no longer can get progressive Taxi. Is there anyway to get to be able to use Progressive taxi with FS9 ATC turned off? Thanks in Advance

I'm sure this has been discussed, but why does FS9 hit the CPU so hard, at least so much harder than other games?A machine that gets high FPS playing FEAR or what have you, with colourful explosions, fancy effects, and highly detailed characters in 3D, bogs down when faced with a bunch of monocolour rectangular buildings on a clear day?What da dillio?(Not a complaint, a curiosity.)

Hi. Is there any advantage in having FS9 AFCADs in the addon scenery/scenery folder, rather than putting them into the individual scenery folder of the airport in question?Martin

Whats the best way to install 2 versions of FS9 on the same harddrive? I just got a new computer and want to make on version of FS9 to be used with golden age scenery and the other version to be regular.What do I need to change when installing the first version so that when i go to install the second version it doesnt say that FS9 is already installed on your system? Also how easy is it to put the patch 9.1 into the altered version?

I have both FS2002 and FS2004 and have been using a Microsoft Sidewinder Joystick for years (no FF and linked aileron/rudder). Several months ago I added a Logitech MOMO Steering Wheel/Pedal to the system to play driving games. The stick and wheel are in USB slots, and show as separate items in the Game Controllers Section of Control Panel. Recently, when flying and landing in FS the planes became uncontrollable, veering off to the right and taxiing in circles. When I go FS 8 or 9 "Settings, Assignments, Sensitivities" I see that "Logitech MOMO Racing USB" is the chosen device. I then change chosen device to "SideWinder Joystick", click "OK" and try to fly. Are there any developers out there looking into doing a more complex version of the CRJ-200 and ERJ-145 that replaces the old antiquated FeelThere versions.I know Digital Aviation was looking into the crj but it seems to be on hold forever.I dont understand why everyone is on this Airbus craze when the CRJ and ERJ are crowding the US skies and are great for short hops 400nm and less.I hope PMDG is listening !!!Andy
