I downloaded from Avsim the Yak 42 aircraft by the Yak 42 group. I have been unable to set the radio frequencies in either NAV 1 or NAV 2. I also cannot get the autopilot to operate properly.The documentation with this download is not the best, and details of the panel are in Russian. The English version simply explains what the various switches are for, but it is difficult to tell when a swithc is on or off. Also I have been unable to tune in a frequency in the NAV 1 or NAV 2 radio. I even played around with the Radio section of the Aircraft.cfg file.Does anyone know how to tune these radios, and how to turn on the autopilot? Thanks.Stanner Stanner

Hello all,Just a quikkie. I run FS2004 at 1680x1050 x 32 on a Samsung Widescreen 20" monitor.Is Full Screen(Scene?) AA supposed to work with FS2004 in both Window and Full Screen mode?I ask because I carnt seem to get any changes from the proverbial "jaggies" I have ticked Antialiasing in the options in FS.I have a Radeon 9600Pro and have the enable hardware boost ticked and my full screen setting is set the same as my desktop.(1680x1050 x 32)Thankyou for any help Cheers Chris

As many of you have read todays news on AVSIM the info prooves to me that in fact multi core or multi CPU processors does NOT help FS2004. I Did a reinstall some time ago, and before i was running pretty good framerates, (25+) and now i get numbers closer to 10.. this happens both with default and addons..Specs: Intel pentium 4 2.8 ghz, ATI 9700 PRO(old card, i know) with the latest omega drivers, and 1024 megs of ram. More i cant remember..Any help is appreciated..Cheers Howie

Hey everybody, Having a very annoying problem so any advice would be great. I am trying to reinstall FS from the 4 disc package. The first 3 install fine but when I get to disc 4 then it simply will not continue no matter what I do and I end up having to abort the installation. I have a European Fujitsu Siemens PC and the FS version is the English package purchased in the United States. I hope this doesn't make a difference but I have heard that it may cause some issues, so I may have to get a German edition of FS 2004.Thanks in advance for any suggestions.Regards: Zsolt

I puirchased a 2nd HD that is 320GB, and its main use is FS. I am about to go have it installed, but when I get back, can I transfer FS9 and all of its files from my 80GB to the new drive or do I have to re-install on the new drive?Thanks, :)

Greetings all'I posted this problem on flytampa's website but didn't get a solution.KSEA & KSFO shimmer like crazy from a distance.All is well when on the ground and maybe within 2 to 3 miles of approach.The further away I get the more it looks like a mess of shimmering.My AA is at 4x and AF at 16x.I am running a 7800gs p4 3.4 2gb crsair.Never had this problem until I changed my card to nvidia.bestAndrew

Hi all. Whenever I am opening FS's NAVLOG page from the create a flight my screen goes blank and FS crashes. THis has been going on for the last two or so days now, and I have never had this issue before and I have had FS9 for almost 3 years now. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this or whats causing it to begin with? Thanks

In my FS9 program the rotating beacon from a tower shows up as 4 rotating cones colored silver grey. (should be rays of light yellow colored I beleive)When you look at the rays individually they appear as grey blades not so much like cones.Any suggestions as to how I might correct it? Look at the airport, something just don't look right.... Hi All,I recently downloaded the Fanda's Dash 8Q-300 panel! It's superb! Anyway, then I found a merge file on avsim to put the panel on the dreamwings Dash 8Q-400.Now, I want to fly with the Dash 8Q-100, beacause Olympic Airlines has such aircraft for domestic flight. But I have no panel, and the merge file of Leonardo Fontana doens't work properly on the 8Q-100.I've really tried a lot of things to manage this, but the dash 8Q-100 keeps on crashing > throttles don't work, feather doesn't work, aerodynamics don't react correct...Could anyone figure out a way to put the panel and sounds of the Fanda's dash 8 panel on the dreamwings Dash 8Q-100 please?Thank you very much!…

What would make FS2004 not send me to the correct gate when i request to taxi? it seems to just simply look for the first open gate and send me there. All AI aircraft get placed at their correct gates, and are sent to the correct gates when they land and request taxi. (all my AI planes as well as user planes have their assigned codes, and the gates also have the corresponding codes.) I obviously dont have all airports customized, but i do have a select few, and of those fs2004 doesnt seem to take the gate codes into consideration when i land in my own plane, and ask to taxi to a gate. i've tested it with many different planes, and airlines. the airport i've tested it at t…

Hi everyone.Does someone know how I can use the Open sky aircrafts for my AI Traffic?Usually the opensky planes have 30 MB and more, but isn't it possible to only use the textures without sounds cocpits etc?How can I make a OP plane have max 5-7 MB?An Airport looks much more realistic with well designed planes.Can someone help?Reg Hankx(

Hello,I was wondering if anyone knows of some really good freeware sceneries for the UK. I'm not really buying addons for FS9 anymore, unless they are cheap. I know the UK2000 sceneries are awesome, but I just don't want to spend the money anymore, I used to be very bad about it and would spend around $100 every couple weeks on FS, so hopefully there are some good airport/photoreal/ or mesh and landclass sceneries for England. Are there any groups like CanUk or Flight Ontario for England as there are for Canada, or ISD for Italy and so on?Thanks,Jeff

Hi,Lately I've been struggling with a very annoying problem, when I quit FS after a flight it won't close and nor will the other FS-related programs I'm running (Active Sky, FS Realtime, Teamspeak, the IvAp client...) close and the only thing I can do is to press CTRL-ALT-DEL where I see all FS processes still running. If I try to reboot my computer nothing happens and only option left is to perform a hard reset. Haven't had this problem before and I haven't changed anything to my config.I'm running WinXP Pro with SP2 and all the latest fixes from MS. Anyone had a similar problem?

I got a slight problem with the DSB Tornado Freeware. It seems that when I select the nav lights it shows a burner (reheat) animation, and the cannon contiues to fire, and it appears that its trying to drop someting off the centerline station (it is a white rectangular strobe like box that falls to the ground under the jet). I really dont care to fire any ordinance with this aircraft, I really just want to fly it for the sake of flying it. I installed the custom panel by a fellow named Welker. it works just great. Now I just need to figure out where and what I need to edit out of file to stop the cannon and the dropping of whatever. I would like it just to turn on the nav…
