Does anyone else have this problem? I can't create a valid flight plan from JFK or EWR to Western Europe. I've tried creating a plan in Super Flight Planner and it won't load into flightsim. I don't have this problem with other airports. If I have FS automatically create a flight plan, like the one I just now tried to create from EWR to LHR, it sends me there - by way of Alaska! I tried downloading a BGL with North Atlantic tracks, but that didn't help.

Hi,Has anyone confirmed whether the inclusion of the FIBER_FRAME_TIME_FRACTION[/b and the [b]PoolSize tweaks in FS9.cfg have any effect on the performance of FS9?I've experimented, but am having a hard time convincing myself that either tweak has any effect at all.Perhaps I have answered my own question ;) Mind you, it's perhaps hard to judge when your setup is already performing pretty well.Mike

Having had problems with AA and nvidia i am thinking of getting an ATI card. At present i am totally happy with fs2004 and am not going to major upgrade just yet so a DX9 card is fine.Anyway i am a bit confuesd regarding choosing a card with 256mb ram against one with 512mb ram because the 256mb card had a faster clock speed as well as more pixel shaders.the two cards are:ATI Radeon X1950 XT ICEQ 3 TURBO SILENT Heatpipe 256MB GDDR3 VIVO TV-Out/Dual DVI (650mhz 48 pixel shaders)ATI Radeon X1950 Pro 512MB GDDR3 HDTV/Dual DVI (580mhz 36 pixel shaders)which would be the best card to choose and why?Brad.

Hi all, Ok, so I re=installed flight sim the other day because I was having problems running it. So now I have to re-installed all the things that make the simulator come alive.I downloaded KBOS, look at the pictures, is blurry. I can't figure out what to play with in the display setting, CYYZ and KJFK are fine! It's just KBOS that different!Hope some one knows what to play with!

I use the great freeware Delco Carousel IV-A (popularly known as the "CIVA") INS gauge in several of my planes, including my Dreamfleet 727. Today, when I finally got some time to fly after several months of inactivity, I found that when I cranked up my two-CIVA installation in my DF 727, unit #1 continually flashed an 08-69 error code at me. The book says that this means the unit is "expired"--and sure enough, the history file for the only version of the gauge I can find, 1.40, says it "expires" on 1 January 2007. KPHL is my home airport and I really wanted to buy Simflyers KPHL scenery for 25 bucks. My cursor was actually poised over the "Finalize Transaction" button at one point last night, but then after reading some of the posts here regarding Simflyers, I'm a little nervous now about blindly plunking my money down. Seems it's not clear whether or not the company is still around, their customer service has been rude, and I just don't want to toss money out the window if I don't have to. Hi everyone,Yesterday I had loaded FS2004, and minimized to desktop for whatever reason, and on maximizing back to FS2004, anti-aliasing had disabled itself, and it was a horrendous 'jaggy'-fest! The only way to remedy it turned out to be rebooting the whole computer.Today I notice that having used FS2004 this morning (computer remaining on all day), I loaded it up just now, and the same problem has occured! It would seem I am going to have to reboot between every FS session!Anybody heard of this rather odd problem!?Regards,Al.

I've used the recorder module for some time and consider it part of the core "must-have" equipment in my sim. However, I recently purchased Gamecam which is an alternative to fraps, and it uses the Home key as it's start and stop key. Unfortunately that seems to be conflicting with the recorder module in that it looks it makes you jump to the beginning of a playback. There is no way to reassign this key in Gamecam so I was wondering if there was a way to disable this in the recorder module.Thanks for the help!

I just got FS2004 and I want to improve the ground/sky textures, and bring in as much of the world's buildings as possible - BUT - I don't want to be as aggressive as many of you have been downloading. If I were to purchase or download only a few programs, what would you suggest? I want real ground beneath me and sky above me & buildings representative of the cities I'll be visiting.I'm considering Ground Environment Pro for the ground, but does it help the sky & bldgs? I'm trying not to have to buy each city, but rather one really good package. If Cloud9 World or USA fits the bill for one or two of my requirements I might go that route. Thanks in advance!Gar…

I installed GE Pro and I'm not sure it took. Do I need to select Scenery Library and 'Add Area' the files that created with the download? Or does this program auto-add and I need do nothing?

Every time I try to load up the Wilco A400 I hear two beeping sounds from my computer, than FS9 just shuts down with no error messages. I used this aircraft a few months ago with no problems, any ideas why it is being a pain in the a$$ now since I reinstalled it?

Very recently, I have had a RCV4 specific sound problem. Here is the description:1. continuous buzz sound on top of the RCV4 talking 2. does not happen when no RCV4 talking is on3. happens only when OUTSIDE of fs9 (windowed or full screen mode, but ALT-tabbed outside of FS9, to the explorer fior example)4. the same sound problem does not occur when playing music (mp3) on top of fs9. it is purely RCV4 related5. tried to reduce the hardware acceleration. no effectI haven't tried RCV4 re-installation. afraid of something bad and loose it.Tried FS9 with a re-built fs9.cfgUse different sound qualities in FS9 menu=> no impactDo you have a clue?Thank youRegardsGhiom Viguie

Hello everybody.I am a user of Ultimate Traffic and actually I am happy with this programm.Everytime I look up the website nothing seams to happen. No news, no upgrades etc. Even the new flightplans come late.I am now thinking of changing to FS Traffic especially as you also can change Aircrafts, Flightplans etc. Can somebody tell me what is the better programm?I need some good infos.Thanks and best regardsHank

I have to admit, it is one of my favorite planes! its just so nicely built... the Honeywell system is made very very nicely, and plane flies nice and this and that...I'm going to fly it from TNCM back to KMIA and just wanted to say how nice the plane is, and if you are looking for a nice GA addition this is the plane to get!I can't wait for their Cessna X model... I hope it comes out in a few days! :)just wanted to share :D

I got home this evening to find the computer was throwing a terminal windows error; probably not my son - and maybe not hardware(?). Oh, dear - even the mrb is wrong, anywayI need to try recovery from an image - but its a bit old.So it could be some time before I up and flying again.:( Tom

Hi,I am thinking about buying ez scenery and have some questions I can't find answers to on their site or from searching and would like some advice.I have looked at the Avsim scenery forum but I'm well out of my depth.1) I want to place buildings/objects using ez scenery in fs9 on my laptop and later transfer the changes into the scenery folder on my main pc.I am a novice at this,is it reasonably easy to do?2) A basic question,but I have been looking inside the fs9 scenery folder trying to open/view the scenery objects, as I understand I can re-use the objects using ez scenery as well as using their own library objects.So far I have been unable to view any of them as 'dra…
