I would like to program a button to disconnect/connect the autothrottle in the PMDG 747-400, but I cannot get it to work.Has anyone done this and if so, could you tell me the steps. I assign the key command in FS 9 Shift R on the joystick and assign the same command on PMDG keystroke.Pressing shift R works in PMDG but pressing the assigned button does nothing.Thanks,Greg

I have tried numerous times to join their forum, without success. I'm wanting to find a good somewhat faint jetliner engine effect. I'm not looking for something too obvious but I'd like to see some effect where most aircraft seem to have no effect. I'd like to add it to some freeware B777, DC-10, MD-11 and L-1011 Also, I'd like to find something that is easily positioned from within the aircraft.cfg. Some effects don't want to move up or down unless you actually alter the z offset in the fx file.

I've noticed what appears to be an 'artifact' (glitch) in the scenery for KSFO (San Francisco) -- a large, black multi-sided, multi-story building in the ramp area between International Terminal A (gates A2 - A9) and Terminal 1, Boarding Area B (Gates 20 - 24 & 35-36). Since it doesn't seem that it should be there (and there's no reference to it on the flysfo.com website), I turned off all add-on scenery that had any reference to ksfo (including all afcad's, etc) but the building was still there. So i finaly broke down and bought the wilco airbus tonight. Thought i would at least get some practice in while waiting for the realityxp bus and a few touch and go's later this did in deed turn out to be an air"bust" not an airbus. The VC is good with some texture bleeds and the boeing callouts freakin kill me "are you kiiding me wilco come on" the font on the displayes is wrong and this was tested by a real a 318 pilot do they think were stupid or something, give me a break and i dont want to know what else is in store for me.....and all of this after the update realese which i cant find on thier site and i hope since i purchased after the update i have the latest versi…

On Mr. Versluys' 787 the right engine shows to be stopped while in flight and the view is weird. I know there is a fix file for this but I scanned the files on here and flightsim.com and can't locate it. Can someone help?Thanks

Anybody know if there are any E190/195 models in the works? There is one freeware model available in the file library, but I was hoping for something better, either freeware or payware. I thought that there were rumors that Dreamwings was working on one, but when I went to their site I only saw previews of a Challenger aircraft and tons of porn spam in their forums.

Hello, I have always used squawkbox on VATSIM. I recently re-installed my os and wiped my drive. I was thinking about putting squawkbox back on but I am not sure where I get the VIP Package. The next question I have is this. Which program for VATSIM works best FSINN or Squawkbox for being able to view planes other than a triangle ? Mark. Thanks, Josh

Have just bought the payed scenery from France VFR for Martinique & St. Barth/St. Martin.Everything is fine apart from some static vehicles which are totally grey.It seems to be in the shape of a bus but I cannot see any wheelsI know it is a texture problem, can anyone give any advice.RegardsChristiaan.

I am not an experienced pilot so I usually try to use a FS2004 default panel.When I changed the PSS 777 panel for a default FS2004 panel the PSS 777 wheels are altered to a position where they look like during take-off but reversed.No other aircraft type has this problem.I have enclosed a photo to show the effect.Can anyone explain what has happened and if there is a solution.Maybe a "line" change in the aircraft file?Also is there a way of putting a default panel in the PMDG 747 so that I can use a normal flight plan and not,for me, the complicated FMC.I am still learning.Christiaan

What's the deal with all the negative comments from Captain Sim products (specifically the 757)? I stumbled across it for the first time yesterday, and was impressed after viewing the images and videos on their site. Hi all,I recently tried to make an ILS approach to Paine Field in EverettWA in the stock FS9 Cessna 172 and after selecting "MKR" on theannunciator panel I found I had no Marker beacon sounds or lightsworking.I tried the same thing with other aircraft and got the same results.I can select either of the "VOR" switches and get the Morse codesounds though.Do I have a corrupt or missing file for the marker beacon?What should I look for to fix this problem?ThanksRaptor1

Is there any program I can run that puts afcads at all the default airports? Or would I have to do that manually? I'm using Marcus Brunner's GATraffic, but to my understanding, it will just put traffic at airports where AFCADS are already installed. So to a large extent, the small airports still have no traffic. Am I correct in this assumption? I'm just looking to get airplanes at every airport throughout the world.Does airport environment upgrade by Chris Arrington add AFCADS at all the airports?

Occasionally (luckily, only very occasionally), I start up FS9 and find that most of my keyboard assignments have disappeared: when I go to the Assignments window via FS9, half of them are blank. So I scroll down, filling them all in again, and things are back to normal. Takes a while though.I looked (using Yahoo Desktop Search) for a file in which these assignments are stored, so that I can then back it up. I didn't find anything concrete, but assume the information is in FS9.cfg? If so, just restoring my backed up version (I back up every day through a batch file) should solve the problem I guess? I just got this in the mail...and and I quickly skimmed through the materials..but I did watch some of the approaches etc in detail... What can I say.. This is great. Its loaded with turorial information. Worth every bit $38. Only negative things I can find to say is..the background "porn like" music.. is very annoying. Wish there was a way to turn it down..and make it disappear in some of the chapters. The music is either minimal or absent in some sections.And explanations were a tad a little fast. But you can always pause, fast backward and watching it again..so no biggie. This may also have been because, the amount of information contained here is quite large.All in a…
