Can someone point me to a listing that shows what the naming convention of the default scenery BGL files are. I know RR123456 are railroads, RD123456 roads, and AP123456 are airports. If I increase the number of AI aircrafts I often, during the landing procedure, get an AI plane close to mine. The missed collision, or collision, occurs during the 6 last miles. Any idea why ?Thanks for your helpMichel (lsgg)

Hi, folks!I have an ATI Radeon video card which worked fine until some days ago when I had to reinstall the Control Center (Catalyst). Since then the text on the ATC window is almost unreadable. Does anyone know how I could fix this?Thanks for any hint.Silvestre

Dear all,For some reason I have just tried to load up FS9 and it gets to the opening splash page and then I get the message 'completing setup: generating scenery file indexes'. It sits at 4% and then freezes.This happened about 3 months ago and then, having not used the program for some time it seemed to literally fix itself. Again it seems to have gone amiss and yet I have not done anything (knowingly) to my system. It has been unplugged for some days but I cant imagine that would effect anything?Does anybody have any ideas what could be going wrong? Im using Windows XP if that is of any interest.Many thanks in advance.

HI all, Ok, I download AI Flight Creator to create a little traffic at my local airport.( if any one knows of a different or better program to do this, let me know). I'm trying to add a second leg to the first on with AI Flight Creator. How do I know when to start it? The program doesn't tell me the arrivial time from the first leg, so how can I know when to start the second one?Thanks

Although I have had different versions of MSFS for over twenty years, I had never flown in a GA aircraft until last Friday afternoon. A co-worker that I have know for a few years recently became a CFI gave me the opportunity to go up in both a Cessna 172 and a Piper PA-22. In both cases, after safely getting up in the air and away from the airport, he let me take control of the plane. I flew the Cessna for 40 minutes and the Piper for 20 minutes. I screwed something up in my aircraft.cfg file and somehow managed to mess the lights section up so badly that none of them are even close to being in the right place. I had to start it from 0. Now, I was able to but the runway in and use the flattening switch. Everything is great except that I have trees on the runway, so I've got to use the exclude switch. Hi,I purchased the PC PILOT magazine (November/December N'43) and noticed that the freeware French Socata TBM 700 was a featured download. I downloaded the TBM 700 from AVSIM several months ago and it has become my favorite aircraft. To make a long story short, I somehow lost the CD disk that came with the magazine. I had a hard drive crash on my computer and have since purchased a new system. Unfortunately, I was unable to save any data from the old machine and my backups did not contain the new TBM files. I don't normally have it running but my last multiplayer session I left it on.After around two hours, I started to get texture flashing problems from all views. I tried the 'refresh scenery' function but that didn't improve the situation?Eventually my aircraft stated to spin as fast as a propellor thus making flying impossible from that time onwards.I closed the sim, opnened it again and it was still the same. Hi, Could someone please post a link pointing to a freeware screen saver that works in full screen, on a nVidia 256mb 7500 GT graphics card. Pressing "Prt Sc" key does nothing. I knew I could on my old computer rig. Since upgrading, have not been able to save screen shots, in full screen or windowed mode. I just got the regular version of GE the other night and installed the day and night textures. After I installed the new textures I ran FS to see how it looked. Seems that the changes are fine, however I notice a little more blurries than I did before the install of the new textures. Could someone give me some tips as to what I should set my FP9 CFG file to. Also, what level should I set the autogen? My specs are:P4 2.531 GB RamRadion 9700A few other things I was wondering about. I am currently using USA Roads and Active Sky 2004.5. Since it now starts earlier and ends later, has anybody figured out how to change the Daylight Savings Time dates in Flight Sim? I've done the appropriate updates on my computers but FS has a mind of it's own. I have read some posts elsewhere about editing the timezone.bgl file but I have no idea how to do that. I was hoping somebody had uploaded a fix for that. I may just have to wait until April when the old date comes around.Any thoughts?

I was browsing through the textures in the Pegasus section. There are some very interesting repaints available for several A/C: Cessna 208, TurboBeaver, Pilatus Porter, and the Socata TBM 700 and 850. I read the read-me file, and there are 2 methods for applying repaints for the Socata that are a bit confusing. I downloaded the 3 Canadian B.C airfields Ref: 3_for_b.c_canada.zip file by Frank Betts this week. In order to utilize the A.I aircraft i had to install Traffic Tools within his file - no problem. Then as i followed Frank's Complete Instructions Text Document i found no info under items 20 & 24 which i am to copy & paste into another file. I have googled Frank's name & found a defunct[?] website with his connection but i need his email address to fix my problem [unless some kind simmer can oblige?]

I just had the opportunity to go back to Holloman AFB and get some audio recordings of the F-9 at the 49th FW and German AF. I have been working them into a sound set that I would like to use with my Cloud 9 Phantom, but there is a problem. If I load the aircraft without the default sound files it gives me an error message and locks up the sim. How can I resolve this issue so that I can try my new sounds with this aircraft?
