I've been experimenting with vasFMC at EGSS (Stansted, UK). I set up a flight plan from there to EGAA but FS9 crashed near the TNT VOR. I got the usual MS error message saying that an error had occurred and the program was being shut down. It asked me if I wanted FS9 to re-start automatically. Usually I say yes, but on this occasion I said no.Now I cannot go anywhere near EGSS - black screen of death. Everywhere else in the world that I've tested is ok. Some people might say that the world is a better place without Stansted. On the other hand it is a major London airport....and I would like it back! B

Nice model,nice panel but what a mess trying to install.So many updates no manual etc. I spent a day trying to install panel but had thrust reverser problem and going to the forum suggestions included deleting the fsuipc cfg file-come on everything else works ok.The flaps do not work from joystick, the thrust reversers only work until I load the panel,when I load the panel even the default 737-400 thrust reversers do not work.If I install the boeing panel update by richard prost things improve but not a lot.I am not inexperienced in installing new aircraft but this is a nightmare.If anybody has a working panel and could publish the cfg file it woould be appreciated.

Hi,I spotted on the front page of avsim about the shockwave lighting mod, and wondered about it.so I went into the FSX forum to see if anything was posted, and there was.a question was " Has anybody tried the 3D lights by shock wave for FSX yet? Is this just a lighting effect or does it illuminate stuff? "the answer was " I just got it, tried it and all I can say is:Not bad, Not 3d actually, just an .FX modification "so, if it's just a lighting or FX mod, can this be done for FS9.1 at all ?Just a thought.Thanks for any thoughts on this.

I have been adding some new parking spots using the AFCAD utility. I can select the parking spot in the airport menu, as a starting position, but I do not see the parking spot as a menu option in the Taxi to Parking atc window. Does anyone know how I can add the parking spot as an atc option? Robert W

I've just installed the ukmil VC10 package & gather from the readme that I need to install afcads, but am not told what to get. I cannot get info from the ukmil site so would appreciate help, starting with, what is an afcad?I have a basic FS9 with some addon aircraft & Flight Environment. Thanks, TerryW.

Can somebody tell me how to activate the window-wipers for PMDG Boeing 737 NG. I tried the two switches on the overhead panel but they don't work. Thank you in advance. Regards

Does anyone know how to increase braking power for aircraft in FS2004.

It seems everytime I land at a major, or minor, airport, ATC ground control always sends me to some remote parking instead of the main terminals, even when there are plenty of gates available?Thanks for any help

Hi, I'd like to speed up my fs9...I've got an Intel 915GM 128MB graphics card.

The Appendice says: "When you installed the Vmax Classic 747, an icon for the Passenger and Cargo loader was placed on your desktop."The only two Icons that were placed on my desktop were: "RFP Update" and "Where are the RFP Manuals". Both of these links are to documents only with links to the RFP downloads at the Panelshop site (All of which I have downloaded and looked at).I have tried reinstalling. Same results.I have also looked in the "RVP_V2" folder found under the FS9 Root directory. I have downloaded and looked in all of the RFP website links from panelshop.com. HelloI've finally bought FS2004, and so far I'm impressed with the weather engine. However, the overcast effect leaves much to be desired.I was wondering .... which addon creates the most realistic overcast effect? FS2002 overcast is solid, and quite realistic :)Thanks for any advice! :D

Now i have been using GEPro along with Flight Environment and Ultimate Terrain for a while and i could never understand why my textures didn't look like some of the others that i have seen on here. I have read countless disscussions on the texture issues and tried to change my FS9.cfg to some of the suggested settings on the forums. I have posted a screenshot of how my textures look and i would really appreciate if anyone could enlighten me where i am going wrong. Is is possible to use the virtual cockpit with wingviews. Can you set the virtual cockpit as the standard cockpit, and then have the VC as wingviews. I have a camera, where I can scroll back to the wings so that would be perfect. Is there a way to use the virtual cockpit and wingviews at the same time. Preferably with the Overland Boeing models? Recently I ran across a great tip in one the forums here showing how to add a couple of lines to the FS9.cfg file which allows you to toggle your taxi and/or beacon lights on and off. I failed to note which forum that was or who the poster was either.It works like a charm. My question is this - which SDK has that information? I have looked thru all of them and did not spot it.The addition to the FS9.cfg file was this:Under the KEYBOARD_MAIN label add the following:TOGGLE_TAXI_LIGHTS=75,8TOGGLE_BEACON_LIGHTS=74,10That allows you to use the "K" key for taxi lights and "CTRL+J" for beacon.I would like to explore this type of option further so am seeking the documentation…

Ive downloaded the Gmax B707-420, I also have a B707-320 by Lou Volland , Im trying to find some add on textures for these models but cant find any anywhere, the only ones Ive found are for either the AI versions or the Captain Sim version, does anyone know if they're are any textures available for the gmax version? Hi all,I'm a recent FS2004 & I have a question that has probably been asked 1001 times before. But.....How do you start a flight with the a/c dark & engines off?I tried creating a flight, located the plane top the ramp & shut everything down. However, there's no place to save a flight @ that point. I can end the flight. when I go back in, though, the engine(s) are again powered on.Please help! I can't sleep @ night! ;-)Thanks, Chris
