I've been trying some approaches into Castlegar CYCG in the AFG Beech 300. The available approaches are all from the north, and have MDAs about 3000-3500 AGL. It seems like once I pick up the airport, I am very close. The first couple of times ATC sent me to Rwy 33, so I left the approach and tried to set up for a left-hand circuit. But I was pretty far past the airport heading down the valley before I could get down to 1000 ft. Turning base and then final seemed a trick, it felt like I was going to crash into the mountains, but I did get it down. Then I tried a landing into Rwy 15, and that I screwed up pretty badly. Hi again......Has anyone else had trouble starting the Hughes MH-6C?I downloaded MH-6C.zip & installed it as per the instructions. The model loads up fine, looks good....but I'm unable to start it. I've tried redefining keys, reinstalling it. Everything short of using virtual jumper cables or a kick-start. ;)Any other ideas would be greatly appreciated.

I am presently taking the B300 for a jaunt towards Lake Superior and am climbing through 19,000 ft at present.I am running a wide screen at 1920x1200...and something seemed so uh..er..'natural' while viewing in spot view and out the left cockpit window view, in the AFG B300 King Air.What made the view so real was (and I had to think about it...and then go to Flight Level 350 for some out-the-window videos to collaborate...) the amount of peripheral view-scape that you have at this resolution. I been flying PMDG 737 & 747 for a long time. All of a sudden, aircraft on ground drives by itself, stops when setting brakes, but then it takes off again. Tried calibrating yoke and pedals several times, but still have problem. Any suggestions?

For some reason I'm suddenly getting getting a message when I start FS9 "Invalid Remote Scenery Path in the Scenery Area 046". That refers to Propellor Objects (Microsoft spells it both propellEr and propellOr)but I've been searching high and low and I can't find any "propeller objects" to point the .cfg file towards despite searching all over. Yes, I am set to view hidden files but for the life of me I can't find it and the Scnenery Library doesn't know either or it wouldn't be asking.I have a backup of my FS9 directory made just two weeks ago and a have a bare bones default FS9 on another old computer and I have the disks so if the file is lost I should be able to rep…

Hello,I own the ASUS 8800GTS 320MB.I do have the AA problem,but I managed to make it work.I do have texture loading problem when cruising.Here is a picture to demonstrate:http://img255.imageshack.us/img255/2807/ca...07181126eg5.jpgAs you can see,the further texture(which isn't very far from me)just doesn't load and looks very blurry.I've tried to several tweaks to FS9.cfg,without any luck.Also,all the sliders in the FS display menu are in the fully right position ,including the global texture.anyone maybe know a solution?Thank you.Erez

iFly 747 Operating StepsThe iFly 747-400 is a magnificent airplane and it is completely free. I have now flown it on several long trips, and it performs flawlessly. Whenever I try to open the parking list for my custom AFCAD for Rome (LIRF) AFCAD crashes. Now the wierd thing is when I try to open to parking list for the default LIRF it works fine. I also tried some other custom AFCADs I have and they all worked fine too. Anyone know why my AFCAD crashes when I open the parking list for my custom LIRF?

Just read a review of the new digital Triple Header and it sounds pretty neat. Couple of questions:While it reduces the need for a TrackIR in the lateral directions, I would still like to keep mine for looking up at the overhead. Are they compatible? Can the TrackIR be adjusted differentially for lateral and vertical? For those of you who have both, is this even necessary?What are recommendations for monitors with the thinnest bezels (frames) these days?

I was wondering if there is a way to edit the red line that appears at the top the the screen when Shift+Z is pressed? What I want to be able to do is get the Lat and Long coordinates to display 4 or 5 decimal points at the end instead of just 2 like is does now.Example how it reads now.N32*14.51 W110*56.76What is want to do is get:N32*14.51XXX W110*56.76XXXSo that when I am using AFCAD to place a runway under a chopper pad I can get is more precisly aligned rather that having to postion and start FS and check, then shut down FS, open AFCAD reposition and repeat.I greatly appreciate any help.Regards,Sean

I'm looking for some help with this aircraft: specifically, how to use the various functions (A/T, V/S, Speed, ALT Hold, etc.) to get this bird off the ground and in to level flight. It is very different from the other Airbus aircraft I've flown. I read many support forums from quality vendors and when the question concerning "weather radar" is asked, the answer is almost a cliche'. Either a simmer or the developer will repeat the montra that "it's not accurate and we don't want to see the overall fidelity of our sim reduced". Well.... phooey :)If the airplane is delivered with radar and terrain guidance then the simulated version should have it. Arguments from some developers are "it's inaccurate" and "it drags the fps down" and "there are 3rd party developers who offer them". Hi all, just want to know if there is a freeware or payware program out there that can give you a pushback that follows the taxi line from the gate to the taxiway. I guess similar to the ai planes that follow the taxi lines to the gate, just backwards so it follows the taxi lines backwards out of the gate. Is this even possible?Thanks,Bill

I'm not sure if this is the best place to ask this question, but I thought I take a shot.I have watched and enjoyed many flightsim videos posted to YouTube and Simtube. I though I take a shot of creating my own and have put together the tools I would need to create the videos. The problem I am having is when I record something with FRAPS, is that the sound is being recorded at such a low level that during playback you can't hear it. Now I plan to dub in other sounds for the video, but I would like some of the FS9 sounds to come through. I haven't tried to record any other "sim/game" to see if it's just an FS9 issue.If anyone has any input or suggestions, please let me…

When flying, I prefer to view from the Chase viewpoint, but with the GPS and compass reduced in top corner. Many downloaded aircraft do not include GPS in their 'folders'. How can I add this to aircraft that don't have them.Many thanks.Graeme
