I'd like to get some input of what software is out there to record flight videos (games). I did just install FRAPS and I'm not impressed by any means. When recording, my fps went from 40's to teens. My car racing games are imposible to drive with that issue. I have an AMD 2400 Athlon with 1 gig ram and a 6600GT vid card and think thats not a really good trade off for recording purposes. Surely FRAPS must have worked with this older system????? Its been around for some time hasn't it?Anyway, what other stuff is out there?Thanks,Imelda

hii seem to be having a problem with the ken mitchell a340 panel the problem seems to be the aircrafts speed dial is to fast and is showing the wrong speedthe 3 letter digit above the speed dial is right and is telling the right speed but the speed dial is bout 5-10knts out on the ground and the higher you get the the bigger the speed dial is out for example i take of and set the aircraft 250knts that is set the aircraft will now accelrate to that speed but when the speed needle reaches it the aircraft is only going 190knts does anyone know why this is happing?thanks in advancejimmer

I have had an email from Simware Simulations advising that Wilco Airbus Vol 2 will be available for download from their site on September 14.It is absolutely typical of Wilco that they wont give any release date or any information and we hear it from the back door - so to speak. Is anyone going to purchase it after the Vol 1 fiasco? I have very mixed feelings indeed. Assuming the Airbus forum will be unlocked for the release but again with Wilco dont hold your breath.John

Guys,I have a new setup C2D E6750-NVidia 8600GT. I have reinstalled FS2004 and have upgraded to ASv6, GEPro, FSGenesis, and ISG gauges.The problem I am having is that after flying for a little while parts of the screen frreze so that a previous scene becomes active when I click on the screen. For e.g. the spot view might freeze so that half the screen is frozen on a particular view while the rest of the screen is showing the normal scene, or as happened yesterday the autopilot section of a panel would show a previous screen everytime I would click on any of the autopilot buttons.Any idea why this might be happening and what could be done?ThanksShez

Hello,I am trying to slow down the way the ripple effect on waters surfaces appears in FS9.I am not sure what file is the result of this effect. This is not the wave that hits the shore.I do know that the file "OceanHeightField" is the texture for the effect.Does anybody know what causes or controls this file?

Iv'e juet sterted encountering the strangest thing...After taking off, about five to ten minutes into theflight, the autopilot display, the primary instrumentsand the radio (numerical displays) all go blank. Autopilot,speed indicators, nav tuning are all inoperable. This occursin all panels right across the board. The only exceptionsare the Level-D and PMDG panels. These however start navtuning in increments of 25. What the HECK.If anyone might be able to help in any way i would be very greatful. THANX

Can anyone tell me how to reduce the interior fan/battery noise in the cockpit of the CRJ-200/700/900?I am using Christoffer Peterson's awesome sound set which is an improvement over the FT set, but it is still too loud for my taste. Respectfully,Scott

3 years ago or so, I built an AMDXp2400 to run FS2004. I had previously been running FS2002 on a P3-1000 - and it was a bit of a struggle. When I tried out FS2002 on the new Xp2400, I noticed how well it ran compared to what I had been used to over the previous couple of years - but I was keen to get into FS2004. Having struggled now for the past 3 years with the Xp2400 running FS2004, I have now built a Core2 duo 6600. NOW - I can run FS2004 like it was always meant to be run.I am now convinced that it is better to be a late adaptor than an early one. I am now looking forward to building a new machine again in 3 years time - whatever specs it may have then, I don't know.…

I love to comparison shop, and following these two developers is like trying to choose between a Honda Accord and Toyota Camry. They are both shooting for a complete Airbus experience. There's no way to make a decision now as to who's project is better; I'm sure they will both be successful. Recently I take the downstep from FSX to FS9 but getting mad of the high shimering, I have a powerfull enough PC but megascenery's like Frankfurt and recently bought Vienna is drivin me mad.The buildings and lines on taxiways, runways are floating and shimmering like ####.I'm using NHancer with 16Q AA and 16X AF LOD BIAS Clamp but nothing will help. I've been using the F1 ATR for several months now but I'm starting to get a little bored with it, so I'm wondering if there are any really good RJs available or in the works? I'm hoping for something along the lines of the Flight1 ATR in terms of sophistication, complexity, and quality. I've heard a bit about the FeelThere ERJ145 sim but have heard that it's a little lightweight compared to the F1 ATR - any opinions on that? Regional jets interest me because I want something a bit faster and higher flying than the ATR, but I don't really have any interest in super long enroute phases of flight (to me, enroute is boring - departure and arrival is where the excitement is)…

Is it possible to change when FS9 gives me the red overspeed warning on a specific aircraft? My Concorde red lights at only 300 KIAS, which penalizes me when using FsPassengers. Thanks,-Mike

hii had to install my system from scratch. this week installed a vanilla version of FS9.1. After having installed now several add-ons, suddenly a message popped up when loading FS9. there is a dialog coming up and in the window title is says "unknown name". i can click on OK and FS9 loads normal. i can play normal. there is nothing that is not working as it should. the last add-on i installed before the message came up was FS Flightdeck 4.does anyone have an idea what this could be or how i could debug?thanks for helpcheersMartin

Hello,I purchased the FS genesis US terrain for Flight simulator 2004 , and i have this odd problem ...http://img260.imageshack.us/img260/2272/problamzr2.jpgAs you can see the parts closer to the cockpit appear very nice but the further parts look unshaped... Any idea what do i need to modify to have all my terrain look as sharp as it is near my aircraft ?Btw Im cruising at FL 350 in that picture.Thanks in advance.

I was going to have the manual printed at a local print shop but after looking at all 3 parts of the "manual" (download) I could not figgure out which of the three parts needed to be printed. Are all three parts of the downloaded manual needed for the TOTAL manual or is one part the main part needed to learn the aircraft? I do not understand the lay out or the break down of the manual. All three parts seemed to be almost the same infomation to me. Does anyone understand ther differant parts of the manual ? Thanks jerrycwo4
