I only mastered flying props and what not a few days ago, along with GPS approaches, but I thought, ####, I'll give an IFR flight a shot.Jumped in a Fokker-100, and set off to do KSEA -> KPHX. I didn't know if I'd be able to do it, but I listened to the ATC the whole way through, followed my high altitude airways, and finished with a perfect landing! It's a great feeling, lol.

what's the best way of going about to get populated small GA airfields with frame rate friendly small AI GA planes such as c152/c172/piper's etc.i know theres a gaweekly file in the library but thats just for the default AI..how do i go about getting something like that but with better quality AI planes?thanks

I have just recently started to use Posky and IFDG big iron (B767's). In both cases, I find while adjusting the fuel load, the CG is very close to the nose of the plane, no matter how much fuel I add or subtract.Then, during take off, I find simply cannot take off flying by hand; only by kicking in the autopilot with ALT turned on will the planes leave the ground. Is there a solution to this problem?Thanks,Marty in Brantford

Does someone know if there is a tuturial on on what are the best settings for the program? Especially the page "set defaults" I've had this program for a couple of years now and shutting one eye to it because the only thing I know is how to choose clouds etc. Someone please help. Tim:)

I've just returned to the terrific MAAM B-25 after not flying it for many months. The pilot's window no longer responds to the SHIFT+W command. It remains in the default open position. I'd appreciate it if someone can give me the solution to this probelm. Thanks.Anthony

I'm using Flight Environment along with the default FS9 weather. I've thought about buying AS for years but I always end up spending my money on a new aircraft or another utility. My question is, if I use AS to generate the weather but continue to use the FE textures, will I notice anything different visually? I'm strictly talking about the appearance of the weather itself. For example, will I see fronts building or different weather patterns that I'm not seeing now?By the way, I've searched other threads but haven't found the answer to this exact question.

I know this may seem a bit odd, but I don't like to have AI in my "select aircraft" menu from the create a flight screen. Any one know a quick fix to get rid of them?Thanks in advance.Eric

Is there an easy way to eliminate JUST the blinking word "SLEW" from the lower right hand corner of the screen on my client(s) computers while running WideView 2004, or while in Slew mode? I tried using the free Hex Editor "frhed" on the languages.dll in my FS9 folder, as outlined in another thread, but I'm doing something wrong and it's just not working. Has anyone tried to use the Jetline 2 gauges in Vista? I've heard that its incompatible. I love the PMDG B1900D, but its not a very good product without Jetline 2.-Mark

For years I've flown with the frame rate cap ON in FS. It's been set at 24/sec inside FS2004 for the past 1-2 years. But recently, I got fed up with micro stutters flying in the PMDG 747-400 on approach into dense airports with AI traffic, so I pulled the slider to UNLIMITED and now I swear things are slightly more fluid all the time. I've tested things in different situations and with different aircraft and it seems to run better generally. I was a serious believer in the frame cap for a long time, but now I am not so sure. I was looking at Rand Peck's latest flight photo journal (randsaviationphotos.blogspot.com) and thought it would be nice to do something similar in FS. For those not familiar, he is a Northwest pilot that keeps a journal describing his flights with some great pictures. It's almost as if you are on the flight yourself. His latest is a trip to Amsterdam with some great shots of the city. I have taken screen shots in FS9 while flying using PrintScreen, but this seems to only work one photo at a time. If you want a second shot, you have to pause FS, go to the desktop, open paint and save the picture, then return to FS to take another. Is there any way to take several sh…

I found airport scenery of Nizhni Novgorod (UWGG) on avsim.ru. My probelm is the default buildings are showing up. I would like to know from anyone who has this scenery if there is a exclude line I need for this scenery? I read the english instructions and it didn't say anything about the default buildings.

Hello.I have performed several search task to look for a ggod tree add on to enhance FS9. I have noticed that a lot of folks mention FS2000/2 TREES OBJECT LIBRARY Release 3 - Updated Version by Gerrish Gray.I relize there are others.However with the above mentioned I do not see how or where it is ment for FS9 yet many add ons mention this version of his work as a needed file .Can anyone help.Thank you Mark.

I'm looking to beef up my military aircraft library but can't find a good flyable B-52 or B1B. The B1 seems especially problematic. I'm good with payware if the quality is good. Anyone have any ideas on finding some good aircraft of these types?Thanks

Most times i go to installl world of Ai..Ai packages the installer comes up with a error message once ive selected the package to install. Now i know im doing it right as sometimes it works fine. The error message says "Unhandles exception has occured in your application....then it says at the bottom could not load file or assembly "icsharpcode.sharpziplib,version0.84.0.0 culture=neutral,publickeytoken=1b03" etc and that means nothing to me and ive tryed different installers different packages etc so whats going wrong ?

I'm encountering a similar problem to those users with ATI video cards who don't get any reduced visibility in FS9. I've tried the TableFog=0 fix with no change. I for one have shelved FSX even post SP1 to enjoy my stutter,blurry free FS9 with 1K in addons to enjoy new additions such as KMCI.I salute Imagine SIm for keeping FS9 alive with their scenery upgrades.I own all but 2 of their products and they get better with each new rel.I think they know that even though they put many man hours into each rel that FS9 is still profitable.So listen up PMDG and LDS dont have tunnel vision and expect that FSX is where the community is spending most of their sim time....Andy

A new overlay depicts ALL aircraft, live, worldwide. Each icon contains Dep/arrival points, alt and speed. You can choose between, civilian, mil or rotors. Can anyone help me get Helicopter AI to show up in my FS2004? According to the files, these helicopters are for AI and should work. These helicopters show up in my aircraft selection menu at start-up, and I've verified the title in the aircraft.cfg file with the what's listed in the aircraft file for the flight plan. The titles are the same. I even took a flight plan that I know works and substituted the A/C with the helicopters...nothing. The airports are empty.What am I doing wrong?Thanks,Mike

I cant get in. I figure VOZ 1.5 and the RFP plane must be the culprits. I saw over at "all nodes are busy.com" that the same is happening. I saw RFP livery packs there,so guess its just a busy sunday!Eric
