Thanks to Edetroit I am into FS9 ATC with approaches, and it works very nice! However, it is confusing sometimes to choose the right one. Is there a tool to extract the approaches to a file for a given airport ? I can see them in ADE for example, but its a hassle to extract them that way. Any help in either extracting or choosing the right one on the fly ?

I thought you might like to know that Gary has made all his early FS9 sceneries available as freeware. Hi all, I am looking to get a new PC to run FS9 as good as can be. I have so much investment in FS9 and would rather use that at a really nice FPS than try and chase P3D to run well. So with graphics cards moving on, im now stuck with the following choices GTX 750 Ti GTX 970 GTX 1060 GTX 1070 please let me know if you have any experience running FS9 with any of these cards in triple screen. I also intend to get Win 7 64 bit. I am a bit stick as I was running VGA with triplehead2go and was intending to carry on this way as I also use a splitter to use my screens with other PCs. While looking for some exotic airports I found a freeware scenery for Luang Prabang airport (VLLB). After I installed the scenery I went to the airport to see and the surrounding area was messed up. The mountains in the distance had holes in the middle of them, and the river next to the airport was elevated on a large plateau (the airport itself was on a plateau also). I thought the problem was the airport scenery I just installed, but after I deleted the scenery I went back to the default airport and saw the same problems I described above. What could be causing this? I don't have any mesh or scenery installed in Laos, but I do have lots so scenery installed in Thail…

Last night I was attempting to load a QW BAe146 aircraft and got the dreaded missing main landing gear deployed speed breaks problem. I loaded a default Cessna 172 and switched to the 2D panel view from which to reload the QW BAe 146 to correct this problem. To my shock most of the panel gauges along with most of the switches at the bottom of the panel (magneto, avionics, lights, etc) are no where to be seen. I ran into the same loading the default 182 and default Mooney (except that even more gauges and switches are missing from both 2D panels. Hi all! While working on spring I notice that spring starts too late texture wise. I noticed the same with autumn, colourful autumn only lasts for 2 weeks in my configuration but in real life it begins in middle/late September and goes well into November. Actually only now are the trees really bare! Is there a way to change when the seasons begin somewhere? Thanks! Sascha

Hi,after re-installing fs9.1 and applying the nocd patch and setting a shortcut to the desktop. Instead of the fs9 exe aircraft icon showing i get just a kind of file folder showing instead. The shortcut works but kind of miss the old aircraft one. Any ideas , thanks, Dave

Can anyone tell me if there's a program that allows for the use of voice commands to emulate key presses in FS9. What I'd like to be able to do is continue my current procedure - I call up the ATC menu with a HOTAS button - but then I have to look down at the keyboard and press the appropriate number. Would be so much more realistic if I could "click the mic" and speak! Any ideas??? Cheers Ian ps. A zillion years ago I did have such a program - I think it was called Voice Commander. But they discontinued it long ago or they dropped support for MSFS. Either way, I checked and it's not an option but maybe there's something similar?

Evening all, Yes I know this is "another one of those topics"..topics! I have been trying to merge the PMDG 737 with the Reality XP WX500 into the 2D panel, unfortunately I keep getting CTD when starting flight using my PMDG/TDS merge. I was previously getting the debug assertion error stuff, ANYWAY, I reckon it is still not working because even though the NDWX.ini file says v.5.2.0, the about section on the RXP menu within FS9 does say v.5.2.1. Does anyone have the correct version/file required v.5.2.0 as old topics regarding this have gone dead. Kind Regards all! :smile:

Today when I tried to start my FS9 I got a error saying that my computer has run out of available memory and the FS9 start up quits. What could be the reason for this?? I have plenty of hard drive space, and the sim was working fine yesterday. I am over the 1,000 mark in the scenery cfg file. Could that have something to do with it? I don't know what to do. Please help!

I am using a Logitech Extreme 3D pro to drive FS2004 (Win XP) and I am having trouble with the yaw (Z) axis. It is extremely oversensitive to the point that I sometimes do ground loops before reaching take off speed. I've tried numerous times to calibrate the controller and adjust its sensitivity to no avail. I would like some help in reducing the sensitivity or (perhaps more practically) disconnect the yaw control altogether. I feel using the stick to control yaw is not conventional and I could well do without it. I would appreciate some help with this problem.

There should be a pinned FS9 screenshot topic, where we can post screenshots to show that FS9 isn't quite dead in the water yet. I recently dug out an old Hong Kong addon I had in the back of my cupboard (by flightsoft). I remember trying it years ago and it slowed the simulator to a crawl on my old PC. Now I can run it maxed out at a silky smooth 60 fps. It still looks pretty impressive in my view, and the smoothness of the flying adds to the experience.

Hi I have installed the scenery called PPP that adds LPPR etc , when I load up at LPPR there are some missing textures over by the terminal , Ie the roadway ,light poles and a building ,looking in the read me file there's nothing reference any add on files needed except some trees but I have them and they show fine...any ideas on what files I need to correct this problem? I know some of the scenery with in this pack is out of date but that's easy to fix using an AFCAD editer. Thanks Rich

Hi, My name is David. I've been searching for a while, and i can't seem to find Kings Co Municipal/Waterville/CCW3 scenery anywhere! I'm rather appalled by this. Could someone point me to it, if it exists? Now, if not, i'm interested in building it myself, using RWY12, Exclude Build V2, and Afcad 2.21. Would anyone mind getting me some pictures of the ground area, if anyone visits there? I've already done a basic edit myself, removing some default buildings, and changed so the taxiways are better. Hi all low level flyers! Was beginning to think France VFR had joined the ranks of the developers who had abandoned FS9 until this appeared yesterday - Haute Normandy (Upper Normandy) VFR. Yet again France VFR have excelled themselves and produced some beautiful scenery for this area of northwest France, basically for much of the valley of the Seine all the way own to the coast at Le Havre. France VFR arguably provides the best scenery available anywhere for low level VFR flying and unlike a lot of photoscenery, you don't have to be flying above four or five thousand feet to see it at it's best - it is still brilliant even at low level with lots of autogen. Hi all, I don't post often, and I'm sure all FS9 users have heard of FS9 Evolution, but for those yet to give it a try, I've just installed it and I can say that it's well worth your while. I imagine it needs a fairly decent PC to run to its potential though, however, it does come in two versions, with a 'lite' autogen version too. I attach a screenshot taking off from Exeter in the UK (using the excellent UK2000 Exeter Extreme airport), and have to say that it's not too dissimilar than the ORBX scenery. I have not been able to get the helicopter AI package to work in this fantastic scenery. I have followed the directions as closely as I am able, but the helicopters fail to appear. Can anyone who has used this scenery give me some advice? I followed the manual exactly.
