Greetings, I've been using FS9 for ages and always modify my AFCADs to my liking. I have run into this problem before, but can not remember how I fixed it. Had to do a HD format and re-install of Windows after several years of FS9 use, so I dont remember all the tweaks I used to know. I use mostly payware airports. Every time I modify the AFCAD that installed with the scenery the default terminal buildings show up afterwards. I do not use AI traffic that installs it's own AFCADs. I use WoAI only. I have done sweeps to ensure that no other 3rd party AFCAD is present. If I remove the stock AFCAD that installed with FS9 originally, the problem goes away. Bu…

In fact it's been 10 years this addon has been released and it is still for me the best commercial airplane for FS9. It's bug-free, FPS friendly, reliable and still good looking. Yes it could receive a face lift (especially the VC) and have an improved FMC (actually the VNAV descent is buggy when two many constraints are set in the flightplan). But thanks Level-D for 10 years of fun. Ghiom

Hi I have installed Voz1.8 via the EXE , but I have not Vozed any areas yet so I believe I'm still using default textures , I just wondered if it replaces any textures files any way ?..reason I'd I have seen a back up folder with a few texture folders inside , and inside these are some files .....I would like to have normal FS9 textures but make use of the Airports included , if that makes sence ...so my question is ...has these files been backed up because they have been replaced during the install?..if so do I just put these files back in the corresponding folders to get full default textures ?..(I use ground environment so will use this as well) . I hope you unde…

Does anyone know if the Cessna 310 is still available for purchase from Dreamfleet or F1 or whoever it was? I can't seem to find it anywhere. Thanks! I found it.

A huge new crop of AIG flightplans in the library... superb! And, over at flightsim.com, the Russians have landed! All the UTT and SBAI you were too afraid to go and look for! Can some new WOAI be far behind? We dare to hope... meantime I have introduced the likes of Phenom and Beech Premier to the AI bizfleet for starters.

Hello When using 2d panels from any aircraft, everytime I click anywhere on the panel image itself or the outside view, or 2d side views, the sim will stutter or lag for more or less a second, then resume normally. But it won´t happen if I undock the panel from the main screen. When I click End Flight it also flashes the upper part of the panel for a second. It happens with a clean fs9 install and the computer is brand new. Any suggestions? My specs Intel IvyBridge i7 3770 with 8GB GPU Nvidia GTX760 Thanks Marc

Hello. Lately, I've been getting some lag in FS2004. Specifically, some lagspikes when I'm switching to, and from cockpit and virtual cockpit views. It also occurs when I look left or right from my 2D cockpit. I am unsure why. Switching from spot view / tower view, and vise versa works totally fine, no lag at all. I tried cleaning up my PC, and I tried lowering numerous settings, and everything. Nothing has changed. Specs: GTX 960 i7-4790 12Gb RAM Thank you for any help!

As I only fly with the VC I decided to remove the main 2D panel from the panel.cfg file by commenting out every line in the [Window00] section. However, this also removed every gauge from the VC. By trial and error I discovered that I must leave the following line active in the 2D panel in order to see the gauges in the VC: gauge12=dfa36ec!KEYBOARD, 1,1,1,1 Does anyone know what this gauge is and what it does? Many thanks for any ideas. Dijvid

Hi Just installed FS9 (original disks) on my Win10 computer but it won't run . Have Disk 4 in the drive, have followed most of the instructions here ( https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/kb/837195) upgraded to FS9 to version 9.1, changed the Documents location back to defaut, created a Flight Simulaor Files folder, One recommendation is rebuild the FS9.CFG configuration files BUT no matter how I search, I can't find this file. When I try to launch FS9, I get an admin message :Do you want this app to make changes to your PC" . I click yes, and then nothing. Doesn't even try to access the CD. All suggestions gratefully welcome.

Hello. I seem to be having an issue with the TDS 787-8 and getting the auto spoiler to actually deploy on landing. The option is set, and it tells me so written right on the panel, but nothing happens. I can get them to deploy manually however. Does anyone know how I might be able to fix this? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks!

I have never thought to ask this on the forums before; I just accepted it as a fact as there doesn't appear to be a way to do it in SBuilder. When I exclude roads from an area, using the exclude function in SBuilder (either default FS9 roads or Ultimate Terrain roads, or both) the exclude does not include the lights along the roads, so at night what are really insignificant dirt tracks across barren tundra light up like a city, even though I have deleted the roads themselves! If they had originally been made as gravel instead of asphalt then there would be no lights, but unfortunately that is not the case. Is there a way to dump the lights along with the roads?

Hello fellow pilots. I have found in my closet a CD-ROM of the PSS Dash 8 turbo prop plane 300, 400 with all the paint skins for it also. I had forgotten all about and have a few questions. 1. Can I still install it on windows 10 machine. 2 can I still get airac files for it? FMC 3. is there anything better or is this as good as it will get? If there anyone who still flies this let me know. Thank you. Denis Davis bva1920

A couple of years ago I decided to "freeze" sim time to July 2014 by updating and synchronising my Navigraph data and aeronautical charts as of that date since downloading charts for the whole of Europe was a very time consuming exercise and I didn't want to keep on doing that. However, I recently needed to get some up to date aerodrome and approach charts for France and Germany only to find that their appropriate authorities no longer provide them free - you have to buy an annual subscription. Fortunately I was able to download charts for the whole of Europe two years ago completely free and this has turned out to be very fortuitous indeed - lucky me!! Has anyon…

Good morning everyone, I wanted to know if anyone could help me or tell me how to change the beacon fx file for the Project Airbus A380 two top beacons which uses the FS9 beacon fx? I would like to make them flash in unison (so they're sync together) as in reallife but have noticed that on my model the two red top beacons flash independently, one then theother? I have been messing around with the fx files but cannot seem to get it right. Any help would be much appreciated Kind Regards Gavin Moss

Good afternoon everyone, I was wondering, does anyone know the strobe fx rate setting or how to make the A380 tail strobe flash in time with the wing strobes? I find the default flashes reallyquickly. I have tried changing the strobe fx file rate but can't seem to get it quite right. Look forward to any help. Kind Regards Gavin Moss

So after about 16 months out of the hanger I have decided to get back into the cockpit and do some flying. I am still in awe that this website is still going strong as I have not really followed it much since then. I look forward to learning and maybe relearning what I forgot about flying. Driving a truck for a living is a real time taker and as such the time away from flying. Now that I have offically retired and can spend more time I will be doing more flying.

In case you missed the news, John Young has just released another ground-breaking package for FS9. This new contribution features the Special Operations V22 Ospreys based at RAF Mildenhall. John has been one of the most prolific and talented freeware contributors to FS9 for many years and this new release continues his habit of doing what many would have deemed impossible. Realistic flight dynamics, animations and his usual great looking models with minimal FPS impact. Get it over at MAIW.... Cheers Ian ps. This month marks the tenth anniversary of MAIW and they are promising TEN new releases for the month to celebrate the occasion. This one is the second. Eight more t…

Recently reinstalled Windows 7 and FS9, own the Flight1 172R for both FS9 and FSX but can't find either one anywhere online. It's like they never existed. The only one I had backed up was the FS9 version of the unwrapped setup.exe but it's useless without my lost .lic file. I need to download the wrapper version and can't find it anywhere. I've been away from simming for a couple of years. Did I miss something in that time? Is there a known reason the aircraft has been pulled (if that's what happened)?

The runways at EGJB are 09/27 and they each have ILS and DME capability. The ILS ident for 09 is UY and for 27 it's GH. The ILS frequency for both runways is 108.10 and there is no back course available for either runway. This is the real world data and I have checked that this is correctly set up in the sim. However, if I fly the 27 approach the autopilot is not recognising the ILS and the GPS displays the ident for 09. I have checked for duplicate AFCADS and there are none. However, if I change the frequency of 27 to 110.15 [say] then everything works OK, so it would seem that something doesn't like the same frequency for both runways. This is one of the ear…

If I use in FS9 the option to change night into day this doesn't work. It looks like it's getting overruled and it's getting changed into night again. Most of the time I fly at night so it could be that FS is using the real time of the system . It's rather irritating because I can only fly in the dark .

Hi, just as "heads up". First impression: Rather like Tallinn than like Sheremetyevo. Only problem I recognize after a short visit: My graphic card's problem with mipped textures. Regards, Harald P.S. Those who use the SBAI Mi-8 package with heliports may experience an altitude anomaly at the apron. Setting the LUK1 heliport to the altitude of DD's airport solves that.

I converted an AI aircraft and made it flyable. Everything works fine for daytime flights. I am using a default panel and sounds, those work fine for a DC-8-71. I'm still experimenting with the lights, Right now, the Taxi lights only come on when I switch on the Landing lights. I do have them assigned to separate circuit #'s, but still need some tweaking. The major problem is the Landing lights show nicely from the exterior views, but not from within the cockpit. It is difficult to land and taxi from the pilot's seat (inside) at night. Anyone have any ideas on how to fix this.

Hello. I'm hoping someone might be able to help me out with something. I have some added scenery items at a specific airport (KCLS) that apparently are mislabeled or something. After removing the added scenery items correctly labeled for the airport I still have some left over static pieces that must be installed somewhere but I can't find them. Is there anyway to track them down so I can find out where the .bgl is that is putting them there? Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks! Never mind. I think I just found it.
