It's been years since I did anything with FS9 files so I'm unsure about this process . . . . I have FS (and all addons) on it's own drive, but my OS drive died and I lost files that default to My Documents and C:\Users. My entire FS installation is good except for those ^ missing files. If I install a fresh FS9 in a new location (a third drive) those files currently missing should get placed in the above locations. Does that sound right? Am I missing anything? (Windows 7)

Hi It took me a while after a move, but I have finally found my disks for FS2004 and Combat Flight Simulator 3. Will they run on my present computer, which has Windows 10? Hardware is an AMD FX-8320 CPU, 8 MB of RAM, and a Radeon HD64350 video card. The input will be a Logitech Extreme 3D Pro joystick. Jay in Toronto

I normal don't fly anything bigger than the 757, but tonight I thought I would try the Skyspirt 777. I downloaded 3 paints and noticed each one has a different air file. One has OSB773.air, one has Boeing 777-300ER.air, and the other one has Project Opensky Boeing 777 Series.air. (even the 777-200's have different air files) Why do they have different air files? Which one is the better one?

Hi guys, I just found out that I am one of the few using a cdrom to start fs9. I still have my original copy of fs9 which is almost 10 years old. I have actually no clue how to start fs9 without. Could someone help me with this? Is there some easy instruction on the web? Thanks!

Hi guys, Ifly does not support its product on windows 8.1. I have the 737NG from Ifly it does nog work. I get CTD's when I click on the plane in the aircraft-menu. Do you guys have some knowledge for me so I can get this thing working? What am I doing wrong? Has it something to do with UAC? Some help is welcome!

Hi I wonder if I could seek some advice, I have lost all photorealism in my Add-On Airports which I mentioned in a previous thread, I have recently noticed that although I have a Shader on my NVDIA GeForce 760 Control Panel, I don't have any other Shader in either my FS9 Cfg or when I go into control panel App data Users (username) Local I have opened hidden files etc; and can find nothing on my W7 or FS2004 for a shader file. My question is I wonder if this could be contributing to this problem as the add-ons are loaded and no cache library is in place, and if so could you advice on anything I should input into my fs9 Cfg file or other areas, I read an old post that st…

I am having some trouble with Aerosoft Schiphol AFCAD and I am hoping someone can help. For the longest time have used the AFCAD that came with the scenery until I saw that planes were not following some of the taxiways and going through the terminal building at part of the airport. I found a new AFCAD over at Alpha India Group website, but when I installed the new AFCAD there was no AI at all at the airport. And when I go to select the airport in the FS9 airport list the only thing that is the is "active runway" no individual runways are list and no parking spots are listed. I was running FS9 under Win7 until a couple of days ago, when I updated to Win10. It seems to be running properly, and I have already made a test flight, with the Wilco bus, from EBBR to LPPT. There is however a "glitch": when starting FS9, I have the opening screen, but the rotating Cessna is not there, only a black screen! I can choose the aircraft I want to fly, but I never see it in the window, the black screen remains there. Has anyone experienced this problem? Any suggestion to correct it? Regards, Domingos

I have read in Sim community forums that FS9 runs smoothly like a charm in win7 64 OS. Last March I migrated my FS9 from XP SP3 to win7 64. Yet, I have been having issues like "FS9 has stopped working", sometimes due to inability to "read" an instance like 0xXXXXXXX, sometimes due to a variety of dll files and sometimes due to WER/metadata. This time I copied the event log, which I attached below this message. The only difference with XP is that whatever program stop happens,in 7 64 occurs in FS9 startup or at closing. Just a heads-up for those running older systems: SimMarket has implemented a new DRM system which opens a browser window during the install, to get an authorisation code. My FS2004 box runs on WIN XP SP3 using Chrome. The browser window will not open and so I cannot install the LOWS scenery I bought. The helpdesk has been responsive, but want me to install another browser. I tried to download Firefox, but the install repeatedly failed (Chrome defending itself?) Long and short: I don't really want to reconfigure my ancient computer, just to accommodate their revised DRM, and I have asked for a refund. There are thankfully other places to shop online. Does anyone know why the FSXAI Boeing 787 AI model for FS9 is payware (EUR 12.50 at Simmarket) and the FSX/P3D models are freeware (can be found in the AVSIM library) ?

i am able to run the a320 and a330 series with w7 fs9 ok...but the a340 series has issues...i know its old as dirt but alas...it is the only a340 available for flightsim i know of...so... 1-the a340 engine sounds in the cockpit are way too loud...a320-a330 are fine...it should be a simple thing to fix if i could just find the files...i replaced the a340 sound folder with the a330 sound folder and no change... 2- the a340 displays are too dark to read at night..the a320-a330 are fine so i know it can be done is there any way i can get in there and edit?

Hello all First of all, please forgive me if I'm wrong, but I could not find any topic related to my problem. I've just merged the PSS 777 panel with the Opensky (Posky) 777-300ER. Everything works great, except one important pitching with the time compression by 4. OK for time compression by 2. Could somebody know the solution/ suggest what to do? Many thanks in advance Dom

Hi How do I solve the flickering scenery in the middle of the airport which also has floating taxiway lights and floating cars I've seen many posted topics about issue but never any firm solutions Flytampa Boston issues are floating aircraft after doing a full install with password. How do I flatten this scenery so it's usable? Thanks

Last night I was going to do a flight with the Posky 747SP. After I got everything set up I load the sim and the nose gear was turned 90 degrees and the main landing gear was tilted like it was landing (the plane was on the tarmac with the engines at idle. And with the nose gear turned like it was I was still able to taxi and turn the plane normal). I haven't flown the Posky 747SP in a while and I don't think I have seen this before. Any idea what could be wrong?

Hi Good People I have been experimenting over the last few months in trying to create a Jump Ramp concept for FS2004. After lots of tinkering I got it all worked out. I created a new piece of scenery at a remote location Ford-Timor and then really went wild in creating a plethora of unique ramps over 6 different layers in one pack. This scenery pack is a fun experiment in Jump Ramp development - to get aircraft to launch into the air. Many different angles and many different challenges for your fun flying pleasure. Just noticed this June 24 note on the Imaginesim Facebook public page: Imaginesim Well, we're a business. If we get enough calls for an FS9 version then we'll certainly consider it. A version of LaGuardia 2016 for FS9 might be a long shot but this statement suggests a chance. I don't have a Facebook account but for those of you who do and would like a FS9 version of LaGuardia please let them know! Not sure if there is any other means of contacting Imaginesim other than Facebook. Greg
