I'm using a 32" Samsung TV as my sim's monitor at a resolution of 1920 x 1080 which is the native resolution of the TV. Is anyone using a 40" monitor at a higher resolution and, if so, does this have any visual impact on scenery and cockpit panels? Dijvid

Hello everyone, I thought there was a sound forum here but I cannot find one. If someone can point me in the right direction I would appreciate it. I'm trying to add sound parameters in my Sound.cfg file which will accomplish: - Very low wind noise below 250 knots - Increase dramatically as you accelerate past 250 knots with the sound maxing out at 350 knots+ Just flew to Germany over our (US) Thanksgiving holiday and really paid attention to the slipstream noise. It was very quiet below 10,000 feet. You could hear it but it was quite low. Then as we cleared 10,000 and accelerated the noise increased dramatically. Aircraft was a B767-400. I realize th…

When taxiing off the runway onto the dirt or grass portion of an airfield, some of the better quality aircraft display dust or smoke coming from the under the wheels. Also engine smoke on startup is seen. These effects may not be rendered in the latest Windows 10 (Anniversary Edition). This is a known problem, because I just checked with Aerosoft publishers and they are getting complaints from users of their of FS9 aircraft. I noticed it in my MAAM planes too. Of course, some people have not been able to use FS9 at all with Windows 10, so this is a very minor glitch. I did not notice this with the regular Windows 10...just this latest edition. I has been using FSrealWX Pro for almost 2 years now. In the options section there are two options that I still don't know what they do. I hope someone that uses FSrealWX Pro knows what these options do. The first one is name "Set WX from Position in NM". I have it set at 200 now. What would it do if I lower that number? The second option is "Weather Modes". There are two choices for this option, Normal and Auto-mode (mine is set on Normal). What does this option do? I hope someone would know more about these options. I have been looking on the web for the answers but haven't found any.

I downloaded two freeware airports in Siberia (UOHH and UOOO). When I tried to download the weather for those airports I got a error saying that there was no weather stations in the area (using REX and FSrealWX Pro). Is there something I can download or buy so I can get more weather stations in Siberia? I really don't like flying without using the downloading the weather.

Dear Flight simmers, I had to install everything at a new (bigger) and clean PC. By serious reasons I went for Win7 again. After getting all updates into it, I began to install FS2004 I have the Version 9.0 on the Microsoft-OEM-DVD (no CD-startup needed). Then (as at the old PC) I run the fs91upd.exe and noticed something strange. I had no problems with it, when the software officially got released in 2006 and even downloaded it from microsoft-com itself. But this time it began to work a few seconds to then show "It hasn't been possible to update flight simmulation to version 9.1" No error code got shown. I looked into various discussions at the w…

Hi folks, I have fs2004 on windows 10. I have few payware add-on aircrafts which work flawless but FFS saab340 causing some issues: When viewing from 2D or VC the portions of ground texture starts disappearing momentarily and then come back on changing views. In honor of KLM ending 747 service to St Maartens, I added a 747 flight to my traffic, EHAM-TNCM-TNCC, as the schedule existed. At St Maartens the 747 acts very strange. It touches down about 2/3 of the way down the runway, then basically does a touch and go, makes one more circuit, then disappears. All other AI traffic lands normally at TNCM, and the 747 model lands normally at other airports. No duplicate AFCADS present Anyone have any other thoughts? Not a big deal, just curious. Matt

Good day FS9 users!!! So, Here is a little bit of info on what I have been trying to achieve in the last year or so. In the last little while I have been tinkering with fsx and P3D. I recently purchased a new to me system, not the best system but its much better than I have ever had. Now I installed FSX about a year ago, Played with it and tinkered, Came to the conclusion that as a GA platform for my system it works great However throwing in an airliner and a bit of AI and It doesn't perform to my liking, I also went the P3D route and same result, Great for light twins and GA flying but that's as far as I can get with it while enjoying the flight experience. …

Hi All, I have an issue with my GTX 970 4G gpu; although it works well in fsx and other video games, it is not "seen" by fs9. When I start FS9, my video mode switches to 640x480 16 color. FS9 shows a blank field where it should list my gpu in the settings. I have tried googling for many hours for an answer to this issue but have come up short. I also spoke with a Nvidia tech guy on the Nvidia site and he had no response except to modify my nvidia settings in the nvidia control panel for fs9--this did not work either. Can anyone tell me where is bglcomp for fs9? Is it in one if the fs9 installation disks? I have a version of it downloaded somewhere and I tried to use it to move Clawson's Sarav3. zip to the waters off Athens and failed. If anyone can move it for me, I can send the coordinates. Hey Guys, I´ve been having some trouble installing PFPX (The 1.26 Version because the newest one wont open on my WIN XP OS) I´ve been trying to reach Aerosoft and FlightsimSoft support, but they wont answer. Anyways, turns out that everytime I try to install this program a window pops up saying "Not enough free HardDisk Memory..1GB will need. Please select an other folder for the installation" I have way over 1 GB of free space on my HDD. Any suggestions? Thanks, Regards

Hi everyone! Sorry about my English! I know that there isn't any support from PMDG for merge and because of this, I'm trying with you that knows everything about merge. I'm trying merge TDS 737 model and PMDG panel. My idea is use TDS model only (without aircraft.cfg and .air files) and the PMDG files (aircraft.cfg and .air, panel). I've got the merge but, when I'm trying to take off, right after 80 knots, appears a message "PMDG notification: CG not within tolerance, aircraft unflyable". All information about the Weight and Balance and Fuel, is coming from the PMDG. I've just changed the contact points. I don't understand why this message, if the merge that i did is…

This has been a problem for quite a while in FS2004 (FS9) in Win7 64 bit. When I enter numbers (weights) for crew and passengers in all aircraft, I drag the mouse arrow over area in box and then just type in the numbers. But it is too slow and I usually end up adding extra unwanted numbers. I would like to use just the keyboard and not use the mouse for this but when I hit "Enter" after typing in my desired weights it doesn't go down to the next box to add weight for next passenger etc. I tried using "Tab", "Ctrl", "Arrow" keys, nothing works. Is there a way to, after typing in the desired numbers in the first box, and hitting what ever key to automatically descend to nex…

I'm using ADE to make crosswind runways for EDDF. The afcad I made works for runway 07L/C/R and 18. The problem I have is it doesn't work when when I try to configure it to use runways 25L/C/R and 18. Hey! I have strange formations of AI flights... I had 4 WOAL packages, Air Arabia, Emirates, Etihad Airways and FlyDubai. I took the flightplan file of each of then and made one single flightplan with TTools. Dear friends, after a lot of work, we are happy to introduce our new FS9 scenery: the egyptian "Marsa Alam International Airport" (Iata: RMF, Icao: HEMA) located on the Red Sea coast in Africa. Marsa Alam is one of the major holiday destinations on the Red Sea and dozens of airlines fly there all year long. I have downloaded the Project Airbus A320 paint kit, but the full fuselage psd file is overlayed blue, and even with changing the layers, I can't seem to change it. Any ideas anyone? Also, where is it possible to download a FULL fuselage psd, as in with the tail as well? Thanks.

Doing a fresh install of FS9 on a fresh install of Win7 64. When I exit slew mode, the plane takes off like it was launched off a catapult. The plane is in cold and dark mode, but the engines start up when I exit also. I have the joystick uninstalled also. I found a previous post that suggested that may be the issue, but it isn't. I also hit F1 before exiting, but that doesn't matter either. Didn't happen on previous installs. Anyone have any suggestions? Matt

I've been flying the Baron58 and everytime I try to land on ILS the runway lines up but the altitude doesn't change. I just can't figure it out, I have the correct frequency in the right NAV and eveything is right but for some reason the glide path doesn't respond or activate and I end up flying directly over the runway at the assigned altitude by the tower. I followed tutorials to the letter, even 58 tutorials but it just doesn't work properly. Is it my instillation or something else?
