I saw the good review of Cloud9's Bergen so installed it yesterday. The tower view is at ground level though.I have Lee Swordy's AFCAD programme V2.21 & after reading the manual decided to have a go at raisning the viewpoint.I highlighted the tower & increased the elevation number I saw by 100ft & 'saved as' which went into my Addon Scenery, scenery folder as the manual described. I started FS9 but the Bergen viewpoint is still at ground level. AFCAD shows my altered elevation nember. There's a KAF2_ENBR.bglL with yesterday's date & smaller size which I gather is the original renamed file with a AF2_ENBR.bgl which I assume is the current one! I've rere…

I am still looking for a reasonably good AIRBUS A320 model to start learning how to master the Airbus MCDU system with bells and whistles. It seems like no progress has been made on the various vaunted AIRBUS models under development for bloody years by now, so I am wondering what Airbus to get. I don't want the simplified CLS model--I already have that and it's lovely--I want something where the MCDU is well modelled and actually works in MCDU fashion. Does such a thing exist in FS2004? Hi, I'm searching for Cockpit Callouts. Maybe you noticed the sounds before you hit the runway. The male voice, which is counting your current altitude in the final. I don't know how to name this in the searchline, cause of that I would like to know if anybody has an idea if and where I can get them. A downloadlink would be very nice:)

Just thought I'd post this question to all real world pilots around here to see what you guys think. What FS9 GA add-on lands the best based on your real world experience. Here's my list (based on what I own) with 1 being the best:1. RealAir's SF2602. Flight1's Commander3. Dreamfleet's A364. Dreamfleet's Baron5. Caranado's 182QI fly quite a bit and very few add-ons really capture those last few moments like these add-ons I mentioned above. I would have put this in the Hanger Chat forum but opted for the FS9 forum seeing I'm not talking anything FSX. Without a fluid experience this whole topic is a mute point. Anyway I'm curious as to what other experienced real world…

I have the CH Pro Pedals and for some reason they are extremely sensitive in FS2004. They work just great in FSX but in FS9 it's so sensitive that your wings tilt over when making a turn. Is there a setting or anything that I need to change. I just reinstalled it and still have the same problem. I don't have the special CH software but I have the drivers and they work just over sensitive. Thanks for the help.Kevin

Hi fellow simmers.I have been flying FS9 for quite some time now and Im flying with fair weather almost everytime. How can I check the weather at high alt. before I takeoff? I want to program the weather in the MCDU(PMDG MD11) while Im on the ground.Another question, how can i check the weather at my destination when I planning my decent and landing before T/D?Ps. Not an easy one to Search for - or too easy, given that it throws up a whole buch of unrelated threads.Due to unfathomable system hangs in FS (when in in complex aircraft for more than 90 minutes) or video-editing, I plan an XP format and reinstall.FS9 is on a separate partition. I have a gazilllion payware sceneries and planes. I have a networked laptop running AS, RC and FSC.Is there a standard way to "re-connect" FS to the new install? I was thinking about Reg entries and all that payware with its licences and stuff. I spose the payware will have to be reinstalled from scratch.ThanksNicholas

Hi I have a problem with fs2004 and repainting. When I get a project opensky repaint or any other boeing 767, 757, and 737 series repaints besides ffx/sga the texture for example on the left side are painted fine the airline name is no issue I then go to the right side and they are the same texture but for the right side of the plane so I painted it the same way I did with the left side of the plane and when I finish, the right side is backwards (airline name wise) so I repaint the name backwards on the right side thinking it will work but it did not, it did the same thing with the right side of the tail also. Please Help!!!Sorry also I use PhotoShop CS3!!!

I recently installed John Stinstrom's Penticton enhancement to the default CYYF, & spotted David "OP" Marshall's AI helicopter package to go with it. I had got his lake traffic & that worked right away so I d/l'd the S-76 chopper and despite following to the letter his installation procedure not one helicopter appeared at CYYF or CYLW as they were supposed to. I emailed "Opa" for advice & over the past 3 days he has given me the most amazing amount of email help, which considering this is freeware, is really beyond & above the call of duty. Why are so many people checking frames rates all the time? I have everything maxed out including unlimited frate rates. I use to lock the rates down to movie level (34frames). My computer had problems and shuttered. When I went unlimited and quite worrying about rates my experience improved greatly. Just defrag the hard dirve, update the graphic drivers, keep the computer cool, have at least 3GB ram, use more vitual memory around 3 GB of harddrive and fly the PLANES. I have just downloaded your package of Jetways & Terminal (Final version) by Mr. Jan Martin as I have already downloaded several previous versions of hisr scenery. The airports are surely wonderful, and the scenery significantly enhanced the experience.However, when I tested the airports included in the package, I found several peculiarities. In some of the airport (see list below) I found that, if I use Top-Down View, the texture (runway, apron, taxiway, building) disappears on certain zoom level. Can anybody tell me whats causing this problem? Every so often, when I setup a flight I go to the fuel and payload menu and adjust my payload or fuel - vice versa either order, The second I click ok to adjust, It crashes to the desktop. Its happened to several of my aircraft. I dont know if thats a SIM issue or a aircraft issue, I've noticed it does do it more on aircraft with alot of payload stations, would that be dealing with the sim trying to calculate the CG after the adjustment? Or is there something else?

HelloI installed Real Environment Pro and I noticed that I'm "forced" to choose what runway texture to install, Dry, Wet or snow.I can understand that FS9 doesn't support "wet" ground texture effects but why I have to choose between snow and dry??/What happen if I take off from Chicago in january flying to a Carribean location?? I would find snow on the runway in Cancun!!!Basic FS9 supports seasonal switch between winter snowy airport surfaces and dry ones.Why this doesn't happen in REP??? Any particular technical reason??It would seem very easy, just copy both winter and summer runway texture......Regards

Hey guys.I have been having a problem with a dll in my flight sim and I was hoping I could get some help. When I am using 3rd party add-ons mostly, I change the veiw or select an aircraft in mid game, and flight simulator goes not responding. HiI'm trying to use TSR with the pmdg 737 but I'm not sure if I've got it working. If I arm it when landing it comes on but I've been Reading about wet rwy etc. How does it know the state of the runway, there is no option to put such information when I open the program, am I doing something wrong. Also is there a way to operate TSR from the autobrake switch on the panel. Thanks

My laptop recently crashed and i had to restore it to factory settings but when i re-installed Fs2004 and tried to run it, it loaded but would then crash to the deskotp after flickering for a second, any suggestions would be appriciatedi am running windows vista 32bit with a Nvidia GeForce 8400m GT graphics card i have tried running the program in windows XP SP2 btu to no availthanks,matty

Is it possible to start up a flight in Virtual Cockpit view - (rather than the 2D cockpit view)? Cannot seem to find any option for setting this so just wondering if it might be possible to make the VC view default via a change to the aircraft config file or something like that.

I recall when I was 12 taking a ride in a tiny Piper and as the pilot came in over the trees he kicked the rudder to line up with the runway and I swallowed my gum. I didn't know planes could skid. Never forgot that.Using FS9, on final in my C172 I have a tough time staying lined up on the rwy centerline - back and forth, etc. Every plane in which I've been a passenger seems to have it nailed - very little banking on final - at least from what I feel through my seat. Hi,The problem is that, this evening, I've realized that whenever I start a new flight with a helicopter (I've seen it with both the default Bell and Robinson), the rotor is already rotating, in spite of being a cold-and-dark start. It only stops when fuel is cut off (Ctrl-Shift-F1). At first, I suspected this was related to the Flight 1 Heli Traffic 2009 add-on I've just installed, but uninstalling its module was of no use. Hi,At the time I have a problem with a texture file, which is made for the "Overland/Simmer Sky Boeing 737-700" basemodel. Because of this missing basemodel I have chosen a 737-700 basemodel of "Project OpenSky". I took it from a aircraft, which already exists and works on FS9. I switched the texture folders and worked on the aircraft.cfg. After that I renamed the folder and put it back into the Aircrafts folder...started the game but it doesn't works. I don't why. I would be very happy, if someone has a solution for this problem
