Hi AllI have the 206 Stationair package and I find that no matter how careful I am, when landing the amphibian, I always get quite a bounce on the water. I believe more than is realistic. Has anyone else had this problem and if so, could someone help me to damp the bounce down a bit via the cfg as I'm not sure if it comes under standard contact points or not.Many thanks in advance.Malcolm "Rooster" Hancock

Hi,as the title says... suddenly, my menus (and FSNav) don't work anymore in fullscreen mode. The only change I made was installing Rise of Flight and with it, .NET 3.5. I have latest DirectX9c, nVidia drivers 181.20 for my GeForce 9800GT which I have been using since they first come out. I have no idea what could have caused that. I reinstalled video drivers - to no avail. I am using nHancer to set up everything... never had any problems...Any ideas, please?Regards,Jure

Hi,I want to record a video of a flight and send it to a friend who is making a short movie for Youtube.I can use the built in video recorder inside FS9, and can play it back for my own viewing. That's easy.So question # 1 - is the video stored somewhere in the FS9 root directory?# 2-What format is the video file? MPEG? whatever?# 3- when my friend receives the video, can he see only what I recorded on the screen at any given moment, like spot view, vc etc, or does the file record all views simultaneously so the other viewer can also switch between these views?Eytan Ornstein

I'm having problems with a merge that I did, I combined the SSW panel and AIR file to a HNAC A300B4-600. The panel works with the aircraft, BUT I switched the view to the outside of the aircraft while it was on the ground. The nose landing gear was off the ground maybe half a tire size and the main landing gear was in the ground up to the hubs or basically halfway up the tires. Something is wrong with the contact points I'm assuming, Any ideas to fix it or what I need to adjust in the config file?

I have just been putting my FS 2004 plus all my many add ons back onto my new computer. 'My word', i didnt realise just how much i have acqiured over the years.Most things have transferred seamlessly but my Air Sheffel Boeing 737-800 ( what a marvelous free-ware plane it is) sits patiently on the runway while i try to start the engines. Because i don't have mutli-screens, i have to start the engines using CTRL + E (i always kept a saved flight on my old computer with the engines running) but i just cannot get the engines to fire up. Alright, so I have a *slightly* infuriating problem that I'm having a heck of a time tracking down.On (mostly) long-haul flights (but it HAS happened on a few short-hauls as well), my sound cuts out. Completely. Not just for the game, but for the entire system. The only way to get things going again is to reboot - - not an option when I'm in the middle of someone's airspace on VATSIM and suddenly I've gotta revert to text-only. And I hate typing on final.I'm almost convinced that it's a driver issue, but I tried updating once already with no joy. I went to Alphasim's website and it doesn't look good. Many of their aircraft are now freeware, great scenery is now gone, and the 'Shop' link is broken. These guys look be on the verge of closing their doors. I sure wish they'd offer up their many of their older bombers, transports, and scenery for free since (if) their going under. It makes no since to 'sh&*^ can' all that work into oblivion. I'll never understand developers doing that. I'd really like to get their Nellis AirForce base which their no longer offering. I have been accumulating a lot of add-ons lately, and I suddenly realized that I am not sure what I have got into here. My situation is that I am running Active Sky 6.5 for the weather. I am not sure if that controls the graphical appearance of the clouds? I then just added the Real Environment Pro for FS2004 free add-on from the Real Environment Extreme website.I guess I am asking at what point am I adding on too much stuff and what piece of software actually wins in controlling the cloud graphics when more than one is running? HiI try to make the world look more "beautiful" in my FS9. I am flying literally everywhere on the planet, from Scandinavia to the Cape, from French Polynesia to Siberia, from Alaska to PAtagonia. The Caribbean, the Himalayas, etc. Really everywhereI've invested a lot in addon airports, and I installed all of the Ultimate Terrain addons.Now I am looking for:1) Better mesh for the entire globe. I am hesitating between FS Genesis and FS GLobal. Both look decent, to a point that I cannot see the difference in the product. Just after takeoff from Frankfurt at night, I received an error message citing a problem in the file "dynamic.dll." I found it odd because although I've see the stupid FS error message about a million times before, I've never seen it cite dynamic.dll before. Can anyone shed any light on what the dynamic.dll file does and what could cause it to spit out an error message? I would appreciate any help.Thanks

Hi guysI am working on some display software (avionics) and I need to make some modifications to the engine data, oil pressure, oil temp, N1/N2 values, etc. What is the best way to go about doing this with known data? Air Wrench? Maybe another program or just Notepad? Im trying to modify the default LJ45 (FS9 and FSX) so that their values mentioned above have a more realistic behavior compared to the real world values, as the avionics sofware Im working with has been programmed to react to the published real world values, but of course there's not been some discrepancies found with how the default LJ outputs those values.thanks for any help.

I'm having trouble with getting the active sky 6.5 archived weather match up with FS. Here's what I'm doing:1. Start Active sky paused, click the download, and select August 2, 1300 UTC, 5 additional hours.2. Start FS and go to the proper airport, set game time to August 2, 1300Z.3. Refresh Active Sky. The program says it has loaded the 1300Z archive, but the active menu line shows that it is using weather from August 2, 1053Z.4. When I go back to FS, the new clouds and weather are there, but the ticker tape running across the top tells me that the program is using an August 2, 0145Z METAR.I'm totally confused. Guys, does anyone have an answer for me?I have just exchanged my yoke for e new one and I still have problems. I am getting changing views, problems with the throttle were flying an single engined plane like the Cessna 172 I get the throttle closing while the hardware is on full throttle - On multi engined planes the number one throttle closes leaving the rest on full throttle.I have already tried the 'trouble shooting/reset defaults' and erasing my FS9.cfg file and allowing the sim to build a new one to no avail.I also have a 'Cyborg-Evo' joystick and this works perfectly.Now here is the odd'est thing - In FSX the Yoke is fine.Does anyone have any clues as to what is ha…

Hi, I am wondering whether I have this right in my FS9 scenery file. I have many mesh addons, and also many addon airports. In which order do I need to put them? Right now I have:1. Airport sceneries (e.g. Aerosoft, Flytampa, etc.)2. Mesh sceneries3. "Addon Sceneries" (= the "scenery" folder in Addon Sceneries that has all the AFCADs)4. Default Cities5. Default areas of the worldIs this correct? I am just asking because when I ninstalled one add-on I was told that mesh files should be above (higher priority) than sceneries, and sceneries should be above Landclass files.Thanks for any clarification

guys, I remember using a program some time ago that would explore the scnery cfg file for errors and fix them if possible but now I can't remember the name of the program. I recall it actually had a bunch of differetn functions and the scenery.cfg part was just one thing it could do. Anyone able to point me in the right direction?
