Hey, i have this problem since i use fs9 on vista. Well i use fs9 on vista since 2006, but now im fully ###### of it. In fsx doesnt happen. When im on flight, and i simply press right click for changing view or anything else, screen goes black for 5 secs, and then the view menu appear and all is ok, its hell annoyin. Same thing happens if i press alt for making the menu bar to appear. I tried running compatibility mode and checking the run as admin box (Im the admin of the pc, but in vista you know...) I also tried unchecking an option in general which says "stop sim when doing other tasks", but same... I dont think that the problem is my computer because im running a int…

Just in case anyone is interested, watched a pretty interesting movie about the flight industry in Argentina. It's kind of nerve rattling and I hope that the real world pilots of this forum never have to go through this. Anyone seen a decent rendition of KCYS? I haven't been able to find one for FS9. I was trying to round out the Denver area for short GA flights. On an interesting note, take a look at the airport from Google Earth. There are no less then 18 baseball/softball areas on either side of the "under construction" part of runway 27. I wonder what's up with that...anyone from Cheyenne care to explain? Regardless, it's Amazing!Mark

I've notice this for awhile now but never had the time to research it. I'm finding rogue AI that appear sporadically throughout OZ that appear to operate outside of ATC control. It seems it's only an Airliner issue as I've not seen this with GA AI. One scenario is I'll see ATC clear an AI airliner for take off at the same time a rogue AI airliner appears to have landing way before the runway threshold and rolls right through the blast fence right through the cleared AI and then slows down/stops for taxi to the terminal. The cleared AI just rolls down the runway as if the other plane on the runway didn't exist, rolls though the rough AI and completes a successful takeo…

I installed Project LKPR version lkpr2004_070123 last night and it gave me a CTD. I was about 70 miles south east of the airport in my Carenado RGII, (flying out of LOWW), and everything was working fine. I wanted to find out which runways were active so I flipped over to COM2, (where I had the LKPR ATIS frequency set), and ATIS told me that runway 6 was active. So I pressed the PROC button on the stock Carenado Garmin GPS and then the down arrow key to select a runway 6 approach and had an FS9 CTD. So, when selecting approaches and you experience CTDs, are those are typically Afcad issues or could they be anything else?Mark

I have recently purchased the Intense pack version of FS Elemental and I find the add on to be ok, I haven't seen much improvement in the clouds, still more gray clouds showing than white I find the water textures to be very good. I just want to know what the difference between the Intense and Natural packs? I find the descriptions to be the same. I also want to know if you change a setting in Active Sky does it over write the textures of FS Elemental?

I just want to know if there is a program that will remove trees in fs2004 because I thought excu. builder could remove trees but it does not.

Hi Guys, I really enjoy just sitting at certain airports and watching the AI traffic come and go. I use both AI Smooth & AISeperation but both are flawed! With AI Smooth I watch with annoyance as several aircraft move into a holding pattern while absolutely nothing is on approach, baffled at why it will not release a flight for landing! This results in my airport emptying over a period of time while my incoming just circle in frustration before Smooth decides to release!!With AISeperation I think it's a much better tool but you still get several instances were traffic has to go round due to not being seperated correctly.My first thought are the settings of both utilit…

Does anyone have SSW's Moscow scenery and if so how is it? The company has went belly up leaving that scenery the only one ever produced for FS9 including the scenery and the international airport there.

Before my hard drive failure, I had a replacement buildings autogen file that put bright red roofs on most of the houses in European villages. (It was not Gerrish Gray's European replacement file). Can't find it now. Does anyone have this or know where it can still be found?John

I did several searches and couldn't find anything that seemed to relate to my problem, so here goes.A few days ago, I installed the Zurich scenery, version 0.7, from FreeZ, after discovering a previous version in the AVSIM Library (I checked their website out and it transpired that a newer version was available only through their download page). After installing it, I activated it in the FS9 Scenery Library, just like I'd done with other sceneries in the past, and just like the instructions in the readme file said to do. Do these two programs do the same thing? Can they work well together? I have Flight Environment for fs9 already, but have heard a lot of good things about Real Environment as well and seen some very impressive screenshots. I have FS9.1. I have been adding scenery manually several years now. I would install the scenery,run FS9 and add the reference to the Scenery Library, then restart FS9. I think since the update,starting FS9 would pop up the "Building Database for New Scenery" window, then FS9 would disappear. I would restart and it would run fine. This would happen only when I made changes. Never did figure this one out.This time I installed a small scenery package about 18K to take a look at. Addon Scenery/'airport name'/scenery.Now, the screen showing "Building Database for New Scenery" and FS9 disappears everytime I start it. Hi all,This isnt a question directly about FS9 but I am looking for something to help me find airports when I am flyng.For example, i have a copy of St. Maarten airport which is great and I would like to fly from it from time to time but I do not know what airports are in say 100 -200 miles of it. I would like to find some software that lets you put in your departure airport and then it gives you a list of airports, the size of them (such as international or small) and the distance?Is anything out there that can do this?Otherwise I woudl use Google Earh but I dont think it lists airports by their 4 digit code?

A friend was round at my house the other day, and being a keen fan of Norway, recommended I take off at Svalbard, which is an island, owned by Norway, close to the arctic circle.However - When I was flying there, the ground textures outside the runway seemed to move in a really odd way, when I moved the camera. I couldn't put my finger on it, but I proceeded to take-off anyway. Once I took off, for a circuit, I came back round and the airport was in the water!! It seemed to move in a really peculiar way in comparison with my position, and was incredibly hard to land at. What's the most northen coordinates in FS9?I have heard that you cannot fly polar routes. The reason I'm asking is because I'm flying from Europe to KSEA via a northen route and the plane is behaving a little bit weird(compass vise)

I just discovered that PAOB (Precision Aerobus) has released a rather nice looking Fokker 50 twin engine turboprop and I'm wondering if anyone has had a chance to try it out yet. If so, what do you think?
