Does anyone know of an add-on that makes it possible for FS2004 ATC to say the actual name of a smaller airport rather than its ICAO code? At my home airport, for example, I'd really like to hear "Welland Traffic" instead of "Charlie November Quebec Three Traffic." The only add-on I know of that does this is VoxATC, but I'm looking for something that's compatible with FS2004 generated traffic.Thanks for any help.

Our Fedex website has a copy of the Cessna 208B cargo master aircraft, but it's on for FSX...Can you convert this file into use with FS2009...And, if so how would you do it? Or, if not possible where can I find a copy of the FEDEX model....I have looked everywhere and can't seem to locate a copy...

Hi all,Over the past two weeks I have gone through painstaking efforts to reinstall FS9 from scratch. Everything was going well and all has been stable until this morning. I have FSDream Team's very good KLAS scenery ans JFK scenery installed and functioning for a few days now. But when i ran the installer for their Zurich scenery this morning and tried to restart the sim, it crashed. So I uninstalled the Zurich scenery and also ran the registry cleaner. Whenever I try to run the sim now it crashes within the first three seconds of double clicking the FS9 icon. What is the sim looking for within this very short space of time that it decides to crash just then ?? Te…

Can someone just remind me of the steps I need to do in order to see SID/STARs in FSBuild? I remember when I first got it a couple of years ago there was a way to actually see SID/STARS one at a time in your flight plan which made it easier to select an appropriate one but for the life of me I can't find remember how I did it. Until recently I've used FSbuild Autogenerate feature or FlightAware plans exclusively and my PDF manual in the myriad of hard drives I've had since then and the tutorial section on the website is down.By the way, has anyone heard anything official about future support for FSBuild? I have a relatively new computer (home-built) running XP Home with SP3. I currently use FS2004, I have been reluctant to change to FSX. Why change when it works just fine? My question is can I install FSX to another hard drive on my computer so that I have the option of which version to use? Are there any issues with doing this? It seems that a lot of the newer add-ons are geared towards FSX. I have several add-ons for FS2004 and they work great but I was wondering if I should try FSX before using it in place of FS2004.Thanks for the help.

Hello,I have updated the FDEs and the model files on my POSKY 777s and for some reason when I get the plane to my cruising altitude, the aircraft starts to slightly roll back and fourth. Has anyone had this problem?Thanks.

So what's with mipmaps and fences, or corrugated tin sheds. For that matter, buildings with vertical lines that are meant to represent sidings of any kind or long fences.When I reduce the mipmap quality to 4 in FS9 and then set my ATI card to performance for the mipmap setting, (as opposed to quality), any movement of vertical lines subsides to a reasonable level. If I increase the mipmaps in either FS9 or CCC, vertical lines start to move. It's the barbershop pole effect on steroids! Some time ago, I started writing an app called "Runway Resurfacer" to (hopefully) improve runway textures in an easy non-scenery writers way.In essence, the app looks at an afcad file for information re positioning, surfacing etc, then gives the user the option to change how it looks in FS.The user can change the visible surface (tarmac, asphalt etc) then is able to choose how the runway looks by overlaying different states. ie: how worn the surface looks, how badly cracked the surface is, how worn the markings are etc etc.The app then outputs a bgl "overlay" which when saved along with the appropriate afcad file, changes the result in FS. I just purchased the Just Flight 757 Pro (basically the PSS 757 Pro).When I loaded the plane, the CRT displays are missing most of the detailed symbols/information, and the FMC is blank. This never happened when I had the PSS 757 Pro directly from PSS a while back.Anyone know what might be causing this? Running FS9 on Windows Vista.Thanks!

For FSBuild 2.2, i wanted to save the flightplan to FS2004, but when i go to export to > FS98/2000/04 (or something like that) it tells me that it can't build the .pln file for FS2000. But i don't even have FS2000, i just want FSbuild to save it to FS2004 like FSBuild 3.7.3 did for me in FSX. How do i set it to save it to FS2004 not FS2000? and if i can't, is there another program that can do the same exact thing FSbuild does?

Hi allWhenever I fly from Heathrow, ATC always sends me to runway 09L/R. Is there any way I can change the default runway to 27L/R?Similarly, Luton ATC always sends me to runway 08. In all the years I've flown from LTN, I've never left or arrived from that end, it's quite frustrating.If there is anyway that this can be changed, please let me know and if possible a step by step idiots guide on how I can do this.MTIA

Hello all,I have reinstalled FS9 from scratch and this time round, I'm gonna be very tight on what I install and what not. What I basically want to know: what are the best freeware (not payware, I know that: Flytamp Vienna, various Aerosoft sceneries) sceneries out there for Europe? I'm currently downloading NL2000 (I'm Dutch, and it contains a lot of Dutch airports in very good detail), and I have various Russian airports, but for the rest I actually don't quite know what good FS2004 sceneries are there to be found.Thanks in advance

I have just installed WideFS6 for FS9, and WideFS7 for FSX. Both are registered ok (along with the compatible FSUIPC downloads which I have used for years).On my client computer/monitor I get a "WideClient FS98 Eliminator - Waiting for a connection" window.I am in the first stages of trying to learn how to use the program and could use a bit of help.As my first useable program, I have tried to implement Flight Simulator Commander (FSC). Today we have yet another new enhancement for FS9, FS-eXel,and it looks good, but as most simmers will probably have addons like FSGenesis, Ultimate Terrain etc etc., there is no indication whether or not this will work, or what the results are. As it would seem you have to buy the product before asking questions on their site, anyone know the answers.

I've recently noticed that some ATIS frequencies in Australia are beyond the Comm radio settings. The standard settings range from 118.00 - 136.00 while the ATIS at Alice Springs (YBAS) is 115.9 and Darwin (YPDN) is 112.6. Is there any way to access these freqs. so as to obtain the latest weather and landing info while in flight?Thanks for any help.Jim D.
