Dear All,Am looking for a little bit of guideance here with my new system and am looking for a little bit of guideance.Was running FS9 on an older 2GB single card ATI system to pretty good effect. Earlier this week I took delivery of a i7, 12GB GTW285 dual card system with the hopes my sim would run like a dream.My expectations are not being met. The frame rates and stability are much much better than what I was getting.However, anti aliaising is my issue. I see lots of lovely jagged edges that I was not seeing in the previous sim set up. I have been flight simming ongoing since FS2k2. I tried the first FS5 stick flying but EA gaming software had a F15 Strike Eagle program that blew FS away at the time. I have upgrade computers from PIII to Dual core. I have added more Ram from 1GB to 3GB. Already had Dell ultra sharp monitor. I have tweak the config file to death. I have taken insult from so many on how my little system is so out of date and how is it running FS9. I have add a 80GB external hardrive for aircraft storage, only keeping the top few planes (less than 10) on the main hardrive. I have upgraded my DSL to Extreme speed with a brand new Motorola modem to receive Active Sky 6.5 downloads with ease…

When flying an aircraft I really like, when I adjust the elevator trim it moves too fast and too far. Is there a way to slow it down and reduce it travel distance? Is there an edit in the aircraft cfg I can make??? To make it less sensitive.Bill M :(

I didn't feel like becoming a member of the FO forums so I was hoping that someone here might know the answer to an easy question. Flight Ontario has a landclass named "Ontario LandClass Ver 3". They also distribute a land and water class with most of their airports and with the Toronto area scenery.So here's my question. If I've got the "Ontario LandClass Ver 3" installed, do I need to install any of the landclass files for the Toronto area scenery? The "Ontario LandClass Ver 3" readme says that I can remove the other landclass folders but in little yellow type on their download page it says "This version updates Gatineau Quebec and Ottawa for our Rockcliffe scene…

Just wondering what the best screen resolution for Flight Simulator might be...I've tried both 800x600x32 and 1024x762x32 on my 19 inch monitor and, aside from the size of menu bar (flight, aircraft, world, etc.), really can't see any difference between the two. Not in the exterior views of aircraft, ground scenery, clouds, instrument panels, etc.Am I going blind or something? The tiny size of the menu bar fonts and in the screens of the menu items are somewhat difficult for me to read so I prefer a 800x600x32 resolution. Still, I'm wondering if I'm using the best resolution...I was also wondering if I should be using the antilaising (sp?) in the FS settings/display sc…

Hi, My laptop was getting full so I diceded to clean up with a software and it somehow deleted all the copies of the Lear_45.cab gauge. Now I can't fly the Learjet and the Posky Erj 145 with the vc. could someone help me, maybe send them to me?Thank You

FS2004 turboprops, both the default King Air (it's a turbo prop, right?) and those addons based on the default one, really make me go mad. You advance the throttle just a little bit, and the plane just starts racing over the ground! Can anybody tell me how to proparly control these planes on the ground?

Hey Fellas.For a long while I've been using Active Camera for FS2004, but since the beginning of last week, whenever I try to use it's lovely features, they don't work. It's as if it's erased all the control assignments. I've tried re-entering them, but I've come across 3 problems in the process.1 - I can't re-enter the control assignment for using the mousewheel to look around.2 - When I re-start the sim, they are erased again.3 - The control inputs are very dodgy. For example, if I re-enter the sidestep command, and tap the button, it'll keep moving on it's own!I was wondering if any of you guys would be able to help me out. So something appears to be messed up with my installation. Up until yesterday everything was hunky-dory. The last thing I did prior to trouble starting was to install a freeware scenery for Jesenicko and a mesh for the same area. No idea if the sceneries have any relation to the problem - they are just the last things installed prior to the issue. After installing the scenery, I loaded up and flew around for a bit and all seemed normal. The next day, I decided to fly around New York for a bit but when loading, the load crapped out at 71%. Hi All.I am trying to get the scenery more in to focus.The only thing left now is a small rather annoying issue with the ground scenery display coming in to view.I have had it looking very nice and smoooth before the format. I have been kicking my own a** since then because the FS9.1 cfg file was missed on the back-up.I am trying to get it to load slightly faster, and to be more "in focus" than it is right now. I use a registered latest version of FSUIPC, and have set the display / sight distance to 50nm.I know for example, than one of the two sets of figures below alter this scenery display thingie, as I have had it set before, but I just can't for the life of me remembe…

I can no longer see any airfield signs (designating taxiways and runways) at the default scenery airports in FS9. I have only just noticed the problem, but it may have existed for a while (as the airports that I fly to the most are third party payware addons and the problem does not seem to occur at these airfields). I haven't had any luck in restoring the signs by resetting the fs9.cfg file - although I suspect that this may be the cause of my problem, because after a previous deletion of the .cfg file I had to re-install the enhanced surface textures for the default airfields that I had previously installed. I was hunting around for a bit of history on the "Pietenpol Air Camper" aircraft. I noticed it being used as an AI Aircraft and don't think that I had ever actually seen one before. So while slewing around the web, I came across this interesting little site. Tonight I added some AI to my FS2004 and the home airport for 2 of the planes I added is Charlotte. I went to the airport to see the planes but when FS2004 loaded the airport it didn't load all of the textures. After a while of waiting for the textures to load FS9 freezes. Any ideas why this could be happening?? This only seems to be happening at Charlotte.

Cloud9 or IRIS or Alphasim?In terms of their effects, 2D panel etc. I has IRIS F-15 but you can't add any other panel to it, is this the same case for other IRIS aircraft?Please give me aspects on any of them. as we all know to raise the seat shift +enter is the key...however is ther a way to change the eyepoint in the config to default to a given eyepoint without haveing to use the shift ...enter..???

hi,would anyone happen to know what causes the default fs9 aircraft (specifically the 737) to not take off? it's just stuck on the threshold. all my other AIs can take off so it's not an afcad issue. the default GA planes also can take off. what's weirder is that it the stuck plane does not disappear. so all planes waiting on hold will all disappear after some time while the 737 is still stuck on the runway; all arriving planes have to go around again and again until they disappear. i'm thinking this is an aircraft.cfg issue but which part, i don't know? the only part i changed in the aircaft.cfg file is the empty weight of the aircraft but i have returned it to its orgin…
