Can anyone point me to some website(s) that will tell me exactly what gate real world flights are assigned in parts of the world not served by FlightAware.com? I don't mean real world flight plans, I just mean where to park before and after a simulated commercial flight in FS9.For instance, last night I flew a flight for Austrian Airways (No. 72) from CYYZ to LOWW, and after 45 minutes of Googling and reading I was unable to definitively determine which gate the airline uses at LOWW. I found the terminal assignment and I could see that the Austrian Air check-in desk was near the 'D' Gates, but no actual gate assignment for my particular flight that would allow me to rec…

for some reason, i keep getting this error. I go into my scenery library where I delete my two scenery's; st maarten and boston logan than i click "add" where I add my own new boston and st maarten airports. when i do a refresh, my sim reloads the default tampa airports even after i deleted them.This is what I added see below: all I did was rename the folder. Default name was FlyTampa-Boston or FlyTampa-St Maartin. So I deleted the FlyTampa-Boston and added the FlyTampa - Boston Logan Int'l Airport in the library....thats all and it keeps reloading the default one and i keep getting that error. It see's my new added one and I get no error. And what is this NewScenery.CFG …

In aircraft.cfg under [flightsim] does it have to say:Title=PSS etc etc etcor Title=PSS Type LiveryOr something along those lines ie Title=PSS...?Does it have anything to do with the gauges or something like that?Cheers, merge masters, need your help. Hi,I've been reading some FAA handbooks & decided to see if the full range of bad landings is possible (or bad landing conditions perhaps!).I had a brief go at aquaplaning with heavy rain but at a first attempt my brakes seem to be just as effective. Is aquaplaning (or skidding et c.) modelled in FS9?Regards,D

I use AISmooth to control approaching AI so that my landings don't get jacked, but now I find a serious need for something similar for ground control. I've begun to use FSPassengers again and at heavy use airports such as KMIA where there's a significant amount of AI (as per real life ops), the AI have a tendency to collide with my AC when they should have stopped. Is there any ground control app that smooths out the ground ops like AISmooth does for approaches?

First question: On launching FS9 I'm getting the message "Error loadingGPS_Engine. Current flight plan will not be used." I click OK and all works fine. I just want to know how to rid myself of this message.Second Question: In the Change Fuel applet I attempt to do just that and then I get the message that I need to enter a number between 0-whatever. Example, the PMDG 738 wing has a capacity of 8629 lbs each. Currently the load is 5669 lbs. So I highlite the figure and type in 8629. Then I get the message to type in a number between 0-8629. HUH? That's what I have. I also tried using the percentage side with the same result. What gives with that?Thanks for your help.Jim …

Since the Project Airbus A380 has been released, i have now began to search for things to go with it:Panel and soundsThere are many panels on flightsim and avsim, which one is good? I just need a good overall panel eg with overhead. So i can just retrofit with ISGsim some bits of the panel.No one has released proper sounds for the A380 yet???

Hi,Just thought I'd share a couple of lines that might be handy for people using ez-sceneries and so forth with lots of object libraries. The following lines under [scenery] in the fs9.cfg file will let you know if you're missing libraries and will show a transparent green box in the scenery where the object is meant to be.[scenery]MissingLibraryAlert=1ShowTriggers=1Unfortunately, the missinglibraryalert doesn't give you the filename to chase for the objects, and only gives you a guid - at least, I think its a guid. But at least it lets you know you're missing something and shows you where its meant to be (if the codes are guids, maybe it'd be good to have a guid lookup…

It's been some time since I took the LDS767 out of the hangar, and even then, I only took her out for a test ride to look at the performance of Aerosoft's EHAM scenery. But boy, is this a great plane. Every time I fly her I keep reminding myself that I ought to fly her more often - she is simply so good!I have often been wondering what's so good about this plane. The model is good, but you can see it's old. The lack of detail is what gives it away. The same thing can be said for the VC: While not bad, it's not anywhere near the quality of stuff that gets onto the market right now. The systems are good, though, and no addon will that easily take that away from her. Still, …

Hello all,I have recently joined this forum board because my VA (Flyting Tigers Group) was hacked and i can no longer use their forum. This came as a surprise to me when i tried to log into the website because i took a LOA for just a short period of time. So anyway I hope you guys can answer my question...Since i can no longer use the FTG database to log my flights i fly in FS2004, is their any program out there that I can use to input my flight data (departure time, arrival time, aircraft used, etc). I have spent nearly, lets say, 10 hours or more trying 27 different combinations of aircraft.cfg, Johan Dees update, normal PSS files and air files. I have found only 2 potentially working LOC establishing aircraft.cfgs and they don't involve the changes made by Johan Dees. I am glad that I have finished testing the combinations and now will try and modifiy the aircraft.cfgs to make for a better LOC establishment.How I rated if the ILS worked or not was:1) If the LOC establishing was smooth2) If the aircraft swayed left and right after establishing (trying to hold onto the LOC)I will now play around with the merge even more and hopefully will be able to share the aircraft…

I run Sophos Antivirus, and today, out of the blue, it has started treating bglman.dll (found in the modules folder) as a Mal Spyware file, which it then blocks.I think that bglman.dll was installed by Cloud9 when I bought the Phantom and Starfighter, and this problem is seriously affecting me being able to run FS9.Does anyone else use Sophos, and have you had a similar problem?Thanks,Neil

Hi guys,I would like to start flying Airbus aircrafts because I have only flown Boeing jets till now. As many of know Airbus addons for FS9 (or FSX) are not at the same high level quality than Boeing stuffs. What would you buy now? I want a product that has almost every systems simulated and a very good FMC (so much limited).1. Air Simmer standard edition2. Wilco Airbus with the Eric Marciano patch3. PSS4. Overland5. Nothing of above, waiting for a better future addons (AirSimmer extended version...)I have naturally excluded from the options the Aerosoft Airbus X because it will be not available for FS9.Please give your respose. Any special flightplans on our little US holiday? Thought I would stay in my own backyard and fly up the coast of California low and slow to appreciate our amazing coastline. There is something I cannot explain:in some airports in Northern Canada the runway seems to "float" on the ground. Basically what happens is that the runway stays fixed where it is, but as the plane moves the ground underneath moves, as if the runway shifted by several tens of meters.I have FS Genesis and Ultimate Terrain installed, and for some airports I use Sid Schwartz' Nunavut airport add-ons.Any ideas?

Easy first question about FS-Recorder:Is there a forum here at AVSIM or at Flightsim for the FS-Recorder addon?I looked and couldn't see it, but I may have missed it. I know there is one at the FS-Recorder site, but I am waiting to get my registration approved before being allowed to post there. Hi folks, Does anyone have a better airfile (or maybe know where to locate one) for the default Lear 45? I've searched the library, as well as a few other sites, but can't seem to find one. After sitting on the sidelines for the last several years due to a machine incapable of running FS decently, I'm finally back in the game with a new rig and ready to see what I've been missing. All those files I've been downloading throughout the years will now be put to good use.Anyway, I've been migrating my programs over to my new machine and so far haven't run into any unsolvable issues. I read Opa's post on installing FS9 on a Win 7 machine and also the post on installing scenery the "new way".The only problem that has cropped up is the WOAI installer. I've seen several methods of setting up the structure for MS9 AddOn Scenery. But I'm not sure which is the more correct way of doing it.I keep all of my addons in a file outside of MS9, except for the one that have install programs directly into MS. To keep sceney organized, I just alphabetize the files. I've also transferred all the 38Mdem.bgl to the top of my addons, and then the scenery files. I'm just curious to see how others set things up.
