Hi,I just been reinstalling FS9, but the PMDG addons are giving me a message....Your registry does not show a valid FS9 installation location...what is the best way to solve this errormessage to allow full addon installs?All good advice welcome,BOUNDARY

Hello,I have a lot of FS9 and FSX addons - probably too many! I have been at this for a long time and have a fairly big sim setup (GOFLIGHT modules (8) and three computers in the network)I would like to offer my praise for both the SD Yak 40 sim and the support. The sim is Russian and the aircraft is complex. The designer(s) have done a fabulous job on the cockpit and displays. To make this usable to me, they have included an English Sound module that makes the sim easy to learn and the actual complete startup (before you learn to do it from Cold and Dark, is done with one click of CTRL-E.While it is a Russian aircraft, I am not one to care about where I fly it - I just e…

For those that are interested SDS have upgraded their forums to support the Yak 40 and their Vampire. There's a lot of interesting stuff including pictures from Igor's A320 training in Toulouse and from his young cadet days learning to fly the Yak 40. there's also advice on how to enjoy the Yak 40, eg:http://www.suprunovdesign.com/forums/viewt...p?f=14&t=17I'm not in any way associated with Igor's company but freely admit to unashamedly plugging the Yak 40, one of my favourite FS9 products. I hope I'm not breaking any rules.

Anybody using FSPS - MULTICORE ENVIRONMENT? If so ,do you get the same effect without the program , if you were to just press control alt delete and under task manager just manually(set affinity) change the settings in the processes tab ?I tired that method and saw no difference in sim preformance.

So my question is. I have a great set up for the 1970's, 1980's but would like to ask the following, ai, airports, RFP B747, DM B111, Captain sim B707 etc. :( 1. Best DC10 payware. I have Aerosim classics V2 but is the CLS DC10 better than the included DC10 in Aerosim?2. I bought Dreamflight B727 as it was cheap but is the CaptainSim better?I want realism , the more realistic inside the cockpit the better. The flight dynamics also. Look what I found today in "the other site" FS2004 new files: Judging from the filenames, there's one version for JetCity Aircraft and other version for SGA. I know Maddog 2008 is The Maddog, but this sounds interesting, specially after his 727 and 757 panel (one of the best freeware ones, I even did a world tour in a 767 with his panel setup) some time ago. Chaps,I have been waiting a long time to use the word "anomaly". I think it's pretty cool. Seems I have one of those with all my FMC enabled aircaft at the moment. I will be flying along, happy as Larry, clinging to the magenta line, singing my song, when all of a sudden the magenta line and all the waypoints will flip 90 degrees on my display and my aircraft will veer off. Checking the map in FS9 or FSNavigator shows I was originally travelling in the correct direction. So I try to use HDG mode to get back on course. Just as suddenly the magenta line and display will correct itself. Problem is, it's happening more and more, so I am weaving around the skies like a fool.Ha…

Have come across a new problem of late. After about five to seven minutes in the sim, I get a crash to black however the sound is still working. Upgraded to a GTX 470 a couple of weeks ago, am using the 257.21 drivers. I am wondering if this sounds like a video issue as I still have sound and can work my out to the desktop. There is no error given for this event. Any input welcome.

Curious to know if the Small, Medium and Heavy gate and ramp designations are based on any fixed parameters in real life.If so which Boeings and Airbus fit into which categories?Radar Contact uses Jet and Heavy in its setup, so does that mean that both Small and Medium are Jet? - and why is important for ATC to know that?ThanksNicholas

I hope someone in the Forum can help me find the remedy to make this error message stop appearing every time I close FS9.The exact wording of the message is: Runtime Error 216 at 00002EC4I used the Forum Search and was unable to find any reference to Runtime Error 216. It pops-up every time I close FS9, and it take several steps to finally get rid of it, including having to go to Task Manager and click on Error a few times, etc., etc....Finally, the error message will disappear. I've put up with it for quite awhile now, and it's finally time to get rid of it, if I can...Have any of you run into this particular error, and do know its origin and how I might make it go aw…

I am looking for some advice/help regarding as the Topic Title reads "Scenery Priority". I took a couple of screenshots of my library. How should I set up my library correctly? My second question is.....I would like to move all of my add-on airports into the Add-on Scenery folder, is that possible? As you can see in the screenshot, they are not.

Does the aircraft.cfg have to match the air file? Cause I opened the PSS 777-200LR air file and it shows static thrust at 29000lbs or something, and the aircraft.cfg says 110000lbs or something static thrust. What's going on??? Is this supposed to be right?

Good morning from sunny Portugal, long time lurker and very infrequent poster here.Had a major hard drive crash over the weekend, thankfully FS9 on separate drive.After recovery, I remembered that there should be a FS9 file on the c drive, something like \Flight Simulator Files.....My question is, will this file be automatically re-created when FS9 is started or would it require copying from one of the FS9 Cds, (anyone know perchance which one??)many thanx in advance for any replies/help.Best regardsTim

Hello,I'm comming back to flight simming after some years... I always had nVidia cards and tweaked my config to almost perfection, great fps, fluid flying and almost zero blurries.This time I'm flying on a laptop with a Radeon HD4670 card and a quad core i7 cpu on Windows 7, really great fps with very high detail at 1920x1080, 8x AA 16x AF. The one problem I can't get rid of is the shimmering on the textures, really annoying...I know lowering the mipmap detail to 4 corrects the problem, the shimmering disappears completely but this comes at the cost of having back the blurries. Hello all, I have a problem with FS9, and my new anti virus system is telling me that I have a problem with my 'bglman.dll' file located in the MODULES folder in the FS9 file system. I'm wondering if this is a FS file or a add on file. In any event, if someone could send me a copy, (please first ck with virus scan), I could at least try it and see if the virus scan is pulling my leg or the file is really bad.If you wish to send such a file, please e mail me at [email protected]. I had windows 7 64 bit on my new sytem for about two weeks. After, my install of fs9, I noticed frame rates were high but ,unstable as long as no clouds were in the area.So I tired ,many different types of cloud textures ,dxt3 ,lower res 512x512 ,tweaks etc. My video card is the ati 5870 2gb. With that said I was getting very frusrated and tired new drivers older ones anything. Well all I can say is this ,I went back to windows xp 32 bit sp3. My frame rates are great again in all condtions. This is just a heads up for those that may want to go to another os. I am not looking for a debate , just explaining my experince. Suggestions on the best or possibly good 747-400 Payware panel.I see that Sim Market has one, but did not see any reviews on it's usability. FPS could be an issue.This is for FS9. Hey!I'm trying to edit Bob Scott's FDE v1.2H for the A340-200 with AirEd and I have one question...almost everything is absolutelly great but the taxi behavior is not. When I release the parking brake the plane starts rolling really fast. I want to keep it, like the real thing does but I want to decrease that reaction. Even with the MTOW the plane accelerates up to 30kts easily and I have to keep braking all the time to keep the airplane at 10-15kt.The other point is the fuel consumption in idle and the N1. Now it keeps 24.1% of N1 and the FF is 2440kg/h. It boders me less but also a point that I'd like to improve.Does anyone has any suggestions about what I can change? M…
