July 1, 201015 yr Since the Project Airbus A380 has been released, i have now began to search for things to go with it:Panel and soundsThere are many panels on flightsim and avsim, which one is good? I just need a good overall panel eg with overhead. So i can just retrofit with ISGsim some bits of the panel. No one has released proper sounds for the A380 yet???
July 1, 201015 yr Ken Mitchell's A340 panel is the one I use for A380s, works well enough, although I'm not sure how generally available it is these days.;)
July 1, 201015 yr The external model looks beautiful but from this discussion I assume that it doesn't have a panel or a VC? What does it come with? By the way, I'm not looking a gift horse in the mouth or anything like that. It's wonderful that FS9 is still supported and I appreciate anyone who still does :)Mark

July 1, 201015 yr Adding panels and VCs (and of course virtual cabins) takes a lot of extra work. A good panel can itself take a lot of time, so a good compromise to ake a model available is to use other addons that are already available.Talking of support for FS9 - yes indeed, Project Airbus and Project Opensky are still FS9-focused, as is Enigma Simulations. Our new ATP is now in the downloads here, and includes a sound pack. Add on the panel by Francisco Silva (also here) and you have a whole package! Your opportunity to get your arms around a quality turbo-prop.;)EDIT: Only had a few minutes to try it, but has anybody noticed a little sluggishness with the PA A380 getting into the air and climbing? This was with around 55% fuel.
July 1, 201015 yr Author Yea, it's hard to climb at a steady 1000-1800ft/min. After around 25000ft it still loses speed when climbing. So what are the panel recommendations, can you put it in list form...and sounds for it...Thx
July 2, 201015 yr Author Found a panel . Does anyone know where it is or if it's a proper A380 panel...
July 2, 201015 yr Assuming that Ken Mitchell's original A340 panel isn't available any more (done a quick google and haven't located it) then there's one here (http://www.flightsimworld.com/downloads/listfiles/aircraft-panels/commercial-panels/3.html), third down the page that appears to use Ken's gauges which includes a ND flightplan on the MFD.;)
July 2, 201015 yr Here is an A380 panel. I think it is a full package. Not sure since I have not tried it yet.http://www.roychaffin.co.uk/pub/rcs380f9.exeIf you google rcspanels there is more info there.

July 3, 201015 yr KM's A340 panel is on avsim's file libary.Just search for ab340km_panel.zip or go here http://library.avsim.net/download.php?DLID=68849
July 4, 201015 yr For what it is worth to anyone who might concede to an old fashioned 2D Panel, and not demand state of the art 3D VC provisions, the old PSS panel seems to work fine with this bird. That does offer an FMC.Respectfully:RTHEdit:May want to put this suggestion on hold for a bit. I am finding that I have strange airspeed control. First flight: Airspeed was excessive no matter what I did. Everything else seemed normal.Second flight: TOGA takeoff the aircraft swings right as if right engines were off, or right differential brake was held. They are not. Takeoff by simplying opening throttles is normal.Third flight: Aircraft pulsates erratically when Autopilot is engaged. (similar to excessive airspeed on some other aircraft.)Best first guess: A few modifications to the aircraft.cfg will be required to use this panel.
July 4, 201015 yr I copied over the Wilco panel and sound and first flight was LFPG-FAJS with no unexpected behaviour. Now performing the return leg and just about to cross into Congolese airspace.I am amazed that after all these years we are still getting quality freeware and payware addonsJohn John Hewson
