Historic Jetliners Group (HJG) has released the Boeing 717. Has custom sounds and a bunch of liveries. They are working on a panel but it's not done yet.http://www.simviation.com/hjg/main.htm

  2. Hi:As some of you know - getting back into FS.Using the PMDG 737, my frame rates are really poor (10). They stay at around 7-12 no matter what I do. If I move to an outside view the frame rates jump to 21 (which is what I have the default frame rate set to). This is running in WINDOWED mode.I switched to FULL SCREEN (Alt + Enter) and my frame rates jumped back up to 21 plus. However, the gauges show a large black box where the gauges were. No matter what I do I cannot see the gauges. If I switch back to windowed mode the gauges are visible again, however my frame rates drop back to 7-11.Ideas?All other views are perfect. The issue is only with the gauges not showin…

Apparently you can't just export a flight plan using FSBuild to the ifly 747 directory, then port it over to the 737. I've noticed none of the altitude information gets displayed. Ok.. so I have to enter in non-SID/STAR information by hand. I can handle that. However, I noticed tonight that one particular STAR is causing a CTD and I was curious if anyone else could replicate it or has seen it in other flight plans. In my case I used the following flight plan:KATL->KMSY FL360JOGOR3.GUNDE (SID+transition should be listed in the CDU's DEP section for KATL) JYU SJI.SLIDD2 (STAR+transition should be listed in the CDU's ARR section for KMSY)For me I noticed the CTD happens wh…

Hi,At random when I load FS9 and goto the screen to Create a flight, my aircraft appear jagged, as though Anti Aliasing is off (I have it turned on through my gfx card)Sometimes it loads perfect, but 9 times out of 10 the textures are jagged. I make no changes to my system etc.It only started happening recently and I have not made any changes to my system/software.Any idea how to stop this happening? Recreate fs9.cfg maybe???ThanksJon

Hello, I know how to save a flight in FS9. However I was wondering if I could load the parameters that I save in a flight to use it in another. Let's say that I saved a flight scenario with the cessna 172 parked in Seattle in a cold and dark state and decide I want to fly from John F Kennedy but with the same panel state and configuration set in my saved flight. Is this possible? Any help would be appraciated. Thanks, Raul.

-Here- is a useful link on how to use TCAS.Especially as, for any a/c above 5,700kg or carrying more than 19 pax it is mandatory meaning that those of us that fly classic a/c must retro-fit. (I have already done so! and note the cabin pressurisation system and fully functioning TCU's!!)vololiberista

I am wondering if anyone has any issue with the performance of Overland RJAA scenery, especially in day time. I usually get 40 to 50 FPS in big airports like imaginesim VHHH, FSDT KJFK or Cloud9 KLAX with 100% AI. However, i get only 10 to 15 FSP in Overland RJAA. What confuses me more is I can get over 30 FPS at night or dawn or whenever it is showing night texture, so I am thinking if it is the problem of the day texture files. My spec is: i7 920 OC to 3.8Mhz GTX 285 1024MB 6 G DDR3 1600Hz ram

  14. I need some major help here, Suddenly nearly all of my aircraft weighs like a ton of bricks, including all my default aircraft. It as if someone flipped a switch in FS9 and everything is 2x heavier. Even the default Jetranger won't take off.I cannot takeoff or maintain altitude on my Realair C172, the plane stalls at 70 to 75kts straight and level which is well within the green range. It's the same for almost all my other small piston-driven aircraft. The Default 737 stalls at ~185kts KIAS with flaps 15. Only my PT TU-154 and my PMDG MD-11 works OK....I think. (Not sure about the Airsimmer)Everything is in default. default ISA weather @ sea level, the planes' aircraft.cfg…

Hello:I'm currently using PMDG 737 with PM sounds. PM sounds is a free add on that provides call outs. Although very good and very simple to use the call outs often duplicate.I had read only recently a programme available that does similar things to PM Sounds but is totally configurable. I believe it was Europe-based as it was in Euro.Does anyone know the program I am referring to (it is not the programme by Wilco)Cheers, Iain

  17. My PC has three partitions - one for Windows XP 32-bit, one for XP Pro 64-bit and a much, much larger one with my FS9 installation in it. The latter was originally installed with XP 32-bit: I just pointed the installation to the separate partition. No problem..Now I would like to test out the same FS9 setup in Windows XP x64, but how do I get the OS to read from my FS9 partition. The only way I can think of is install FS9 into the XP x64 partition and then change all the registry entries to point to the installation on the dedicated FS9 partition. The only problem is that I am not sure that I will find all the relevant registry entries by searching for "Flight Simulator 9…

Hi. I've spent some time trying to find an explanation of the syntax used in an FS9 flight plan (text file). For instance:EDD,1%,WEEK,IFR,1/05:40,@1/12:00 ... etc. etc.Does anyone know where I can find a document explaining this? Some of it I can make a good guess at, but not all. Thanks,Martin

  19. Hello all,I was wondering which Flight Planning tool supports exporting flightplans to the new FT v2 EMB-175/195. I currently have FS Commander but would be willing to purchase another if I can create flightplans for exporting to this aircraft (since the default FS Flightplanner doesn't allow SIDs/STARs to be exported through it). Thanks!

I am trying to modify my Flightscenery Rhode Island AFCAD for Providence (KPVD) but when I do it messes up the ground textures (I get bleed through problems). Is there anything I can do to modify the AFCAD without messing up the scenery? The parking file is a AFCAD not not ADE or AFX. The scenery was released way before those programs were made.

Hi friends!I' ve been using FSX for a long time, now I' ve installed FS2004 by recommendation, and I see there's much better performance, but I miss some little FSX features like the orbit view in VC. I mean, when you press spacebar when in VC view, you can orbit and zoom the view with the mouse. Is there any addon or configuration to make this possible in FS2004??Thanks in advance.

Please help! I'm having a problem with some of the lights on the add-on planes. Maybe the authors forgot to enable some of the nav lights or beacons. Is there any way for someone like me to fix these glaring inadequacies in the planes? Also some of the radios don't work. You have to use them in automatic mode, myself, I'd rather change frequencies and other things on my own. Is there any way to make these adjustments? If so I'd really like to know about the fixes. As some of you are aware, I have a sight problem and have to use larger fonts to see what I am typing, this is not a slight on anyone's behalf, more of the fact that I cannot see the smaller fonts. Please forg…
